I am writing about an oil change that was incorrectly done on my 2011 CR-V on September 19th, 2018 at Hudson Honda in West New York, NJ. On September 21st at 7pm, I was on my way home when the check oil light came on, and every time I accelerated after that light came on, there was a pinging and rattling sound coming from the engine. When I arrived at home, I checked the oil level with the dipstick and noticed it was bone dry. I took my car back to Hudson Honda the following morning, September 22nd. The service advisor, Chris Gomez, explained to me what the technician realized. The gasket was not placed properly causing an oil leak. I've emailed Honda Consumer Services this complaint and attached service receipts from both days, invoice number 393668 and 393419. I would like a refund on this unsatisfactory service and a guarantee that any damages that potentially arise due to this negligence will be paid by Honda. I am also unsatisfied with the service on September 22nd. Chris Gomez did not offer any type of apology, compensation nor rectification for this grave error and waste of my time. I had to take a personal day off of work on September 19th. I would have expected a car wash and/or gas fill up to at least make an attempt to apologize, but received nothing of the sort from Hudson Honda. My experience with Honda in the past 11 years has been very satisfactory. It is disappointing that this unfortunate incident has tarnished my relationship with Honda. I am looking forward to your response in resolving this issue. More
