I am 100% satisfied with the service at Hudson Ford. I am not, however, 100% satisfied with the Ford Motor Company. Recently we had the tires rotated at Hudson Ford. We were advised that the lug nuts needed not, however, 100% satisfied with the Ford Motor Company. Recently we had the tires rotated at Hudson Ford. We were advised that the lug nuts needed to be replaced at $5.39 each. There are 20 of these nuts per car. The cause of this problem, in my opinion, is twofold. One, the design incorporates a shell over the structural nut and two, using an impact tool with the incorrect socket results in damage to the outer shell. Bottom line is that the nut becomes distorted to the point of preventing removal. These things are removed/installed on a pretty regular basis (tire rotation) and should last the life of the car. I understand that there are solid lug nuts available as replacements but they are something in the order of $8.50 each. This may seem petty but it could well be an issue when time comes to purchase a new car. I guess time will tell. It is too bad that the lawsuit against Ford Motor Company on this issue was dismissed.
