My experience began on August 10, 2017 as I had been in the market for a newer vehicle thinking that I wanted a Malibu. How "lucky" (or unlucky as it turns out) I was that the salesman Cameron happened to be on duty. He pointed me to a Malibu and that had been "inspected and certified." He gave me the key and I took it out for a drive. As I pulled out of the lot I heard a loud grinding noise that I thought must have been a motorcycle or other vehicle behind me. I went a few blocks and checked all around only to realize there were no vehicles around me and the noise continued. I immediately turned around and took the car back and told the salesman that something was wrong with the rear end of that car. I started back towards my vehicle and he suggested that maybe I try a 2016 Hyundai Sonata that they had just gotten in. I should have just kept walking but I had never driven a Hyundai Sonata before and I had heard and read some good things about their newer vehicles, so I thought I would try it. I ended up really liking the car so I went back in and made an offer on it and asked for the CarFax report. Cameron said sure I'll get that for you. We then proceeded to start some paperwork and then he sent me over to the finance department, at which time I asked the finance manager for a copy of the Carfax report as well, to which he replied "sure I'll get that for you." We began signing paperwork and before long I had the keys and was ready to go but had still not seeing the Carfax report. In my excitement I went on home and showed my family the new car. The next day I called the dealer back to get the Carfax report at which time I was transferred to the sales manager Josh who read some details of the report to me over the phone and noted that the car had been in an accident. I was very surprised! Why had this not been revealed at the time of the sale? I asked if there was anything that could be done about it and he promptly said "no all sales are final." I told Josh that if I would have known that the vehicle was involved in an accident I absolutely would not have bought it! I asked him if the warranty would be affected by this and he assured me it would not. So I left well enough alone as the car seemed to be fine. Three weeks later I emailed the salesman to ask him if he could schedule the 15,000 mile service for me. He responded and said sure and we set up a time. I also requested a courtesy vehicle to use while my car was being serviced. He said no problem, one would be available. This morning I dropped the car off at the service department and they did have the service ticket scheduled but there was nothing noted about having a courtesy vehicle. I could not wait at the shop so I ended up walking 4 miles home. I don't blame the service department but it sure seems to me that the sales and support staff are completely inept! I WILL NOT be recommending Hubler Chevrolet in Shelbyville to ANYONE! More

Crooks and Liars I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership and will never do it again. I arrived to pick up the car to find it running. Miguel my sales person to I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership and will never do it again. I arrived to pick up the car to find it running. Miguel my sales person told me he had left the lights on so he was charging the battery. I did the paperwork and left, thinking how easy the process was. I stopped at the store on the way home and when I attempted to start the car after shopping it was dead. I had to have it jumped just to get home. I called the dealership the next morning and was told that they would do nothing for me because they sold me the car for a discounted price. Josh the sales manager hung up on me multiple times and Miguel denied knowing there was anything wrong with the car. He had it running because he knew it wouldn't start. They lied to me and refuse to help me. The car was paid for with an American Express and the charges are being disputed. They threatened to have me arrested for stealing their vehicle. They seem to have forgotten that it's in my name now. It's hard to steal your own car. I will never do business with those liars and cheats again. More

My first time considering buying from a dealer. It was a horrible decision and a waste of my gas. I liked the Chevy Silverado that I originally discovered online, but I felt insulted by the sales associate, Jason Honeycutt, that assisted me. The associate I was instructed to ask for by the online appointment service wasn’t even working. He tried to just push me to just take the truck home and come back to make a decision tomorrow after I mentioned something about wanting my wife to be with me whenever I do make a decision. Took it for a test drive, didn’t learn much from Jason other than, “yea it’s a nice truck.” - his response several times. As I began to “try” to ask questions to learn about buying from a dealer, cost vs payment, etc.. I was bombarded with questions about leasing, buying a 2013, and everything other than helpful answers. I even explained that as a first time buyer, I would like to learn before I am going to do anything. Towards the end, Jason made it to his desk to take care of putting stamps on a pile of envelopes that were as important as trying to make a sale. He didn’t offer me a seat, information, or even give me the time of day through making eye contact. He instead asked me how much do I want to pay a month for a vehicle, which I just threw out based on what I have paid before on my first vehicle without any idea of the standard payment/cost of more expensive vehicles. He responded with a smart-elic tone of voice and belittling response giving me a scenario and once again telling me to consider leasing without helping me understand what it even means to lease! I had enough after that and decided I’d rather choke than give him my business. I wouldn’t recommend the dealership, especially the salesman mentioned, to any buyer. If you are new to the new car market, please go elsewhere. Save your time, save your gas, save yourself the disappointment. Since then, I have been to a few other dealerships and have had people invest hours into helping me actually understand everything I’ve asked about and show me the best options for a young, newly married man who has just started his career and looking to start conservatively.
