I dropped off my car on Monday, 8/9/21 at 7:00 a.m. I came to the dealership for them to fix the safety recall issue for my C 250 which was an airbag defect. I also had a broken side rearview mirror, the came to the dealership for them to fix the safety recall issue for my C 250 which was an airbag defect. I also had a broken side rearview mirror, the check engine light come up, and had "check brake pad" and "check right taillight" warnings come up on the dashboard. After dropping off my car, the service rep told me that my car would be ready by the end of the week as they would need time to order the parts and that they would need time to paint the new rearview mirror. The rep assured me that should would let me know by tomorrow (Tuesday) when exactly I would be able to pick up the car. During that entire week I did not hear from the service rep. I finally had to reach out the service department which afterwards I was able to text the rep directly. She mentioned that they needed more time with my car and that it would be ready the following week. Another week had gone by and I did not hear from the rep and once again I had to reach out to see what was the status of my car. The rep told me that she had talked to the technician and once again that they needed more time to do the necessary repairs on my car. My car was finally done on 8/24/21, 15 days after I dropped it off. The bill came out to be almost $2500 with the majority of the bill going to replace the rearview mirror. After picking up my car on 8/25/21 I noticed that the inside was not cleaned. They mentioned that were not doing car washes at the time which I understand. The worst aspect of this experience was that someone had left their dirty KN95 mask in my car. As someone who is immunocompromised this is unacceptable. After driving the car for 1 day the "check brake pad" and "check right tail light" warnings appeared again. These two issues I had asked to be fixed were not resolved. I would have taken the car back however given the time it took to complete the other repairs I decided not to. I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the dealership discounted the bill by $125 as compensation for the safety defect. Given my recent experience at House of Imports, all future service repairs for my Mercedes will be done at Caliber Motors in Anaheim from now onwards. More
