mixed review We have a mixed review. We traded-in and purchased a vehicle from Red Wing Ford. We worked with David Rieck in sales and a part time employee in f We have a mixed review. We traded-in and purchased a vehicle from Red Wing Ford. We worked with David Rieck in sales and a part time employee in financing. Both were friendly, helpful, and stayed late to complete the sale. Our issue with the whole process arose with our trade-in vehicle. They obtained the trade-in value via Kelley Blue Book online after informing us the vehicle was in “fair” condition. The offer was below KBB value and David informed us he had to “talk the manager into giving us this deal” and felt it was a "generous offer". Shortly after the sale was finalized, the vehicle we traded-in was put on the market through the dealer. It was in the same condition (no new work or replaced parts, but fender darkening to help the appearance). The listed sale price was above the top suggested KBB retail price calculated as if the vehicle was in “good” condition. We feel they were deceitful with us by originally making us feel the deal was mutually beneficial, but we ultimately saw how ripped off we got. They could have given us a fair trade-in value for the vehicle and still made a great profit. I suppose that's the name of the game, but a shame you get one perception of the people you work with and later the true colors show. We have one more encounter with this dealer in a few days. If something changes, and we feel differently about our overall experience, we will gladly update our review. More
