Complete amateurs, I would never go back! Said they could do MSRP only to sneak in $3500 of worthless dealer xx (nitrogen in tires, VIN etching, Bogus warranties...). I made an offer and they Said they could do MSRP only to sneak in $3500 of worthless dealer xx (nitrogen in tires, VIN etching, Bogus warranties...). I made an offer and they countered $500 higher than their original asking price! I'm not sure if it was their version of a joke. Then Haidar, the salesman tried to give me all the answers to a new car buyer customer survey in his favor. I didn't appreciate it. Long story short, I found out later that he or someone else ended up filling out the survey themselves turning it in to corporate on my behalf. Turns out it's an important survey regarding the condition of the vehicle etc... the lack of integrity to actually fill out a document under my name says everything I need to know about Horne KIA. Salesperson Haidar and Assistant Sales Manager Ray were unprofessional when I went back to them and asked about it. Wait time was extremely long, and the financer was noticeably irritated when I declined extra warranties on my vehicle. They also asked me to lie on their survey about their performance. More
My husband showed up to ask about a vehicle that was on the lot, he advised the sale’s person that we wouldn’t be financing because we were already pre-approved for a loan. While my husband test drove the the lot, he advised the sale’s person that we wouldn’t be financing because we were already pre-approved for a loan. While my husband test drove the vehicle and waited patiently, he was told that I needed to sign paperwork to finalize the sale. I was 45 minutes away and after 20 minutes my husband calls me that the vehicle was sold. I asked to speak with the manager and asked him what kind of games to they play by misleading customers? The manager assured that the vehicle was not sold and that before we could continue talking he needed to pull my credit. I told him I wasn’t financing through them that I had my own bank, he later said that he needed to “confirm” my identity by pulling my credit. I refused!! As I arrived, he was no where to be found, 15 minutes later he shows up to the table i was waiting just for him to say: “we just sold the car” WHILE my husband and I were waiting to finalize the sell!!! He then says: well, you didnt let us pull your credit so its 1st come on the sells of the vehicles! I figured it was best not to deal with ignorance at this point! I have never in my life have experience a dealership this shady and money hungry! More
Chris Smith: You didn't return or answer our calls on the 'direct line' you gave us. Thanks for helping us avoid a disaster of a dealership. the 'direct line' you gave us. Thanks for helping us avoid a disaster of a dealership. More
How not to "earn my business": disreputable selling practices, market adjustment, bait and switch, non-negotiable dealer add-ons, mandatory trade-in, mandatory dealer financing, market adjustment. If y practices, market adjustment, bait and switch, non-negotiable dealer add-ons, mandatory trade-in, mandatory dealer financing, market adjustment. If you are curious to see the full range of sleazy car dealership antics and can spare an hour or two, you can't go wrong with Horne Kia. Many of the other negative reviews here share much of the exact same experience had, but here's my story. Yesterday, I found a vehicle I was interested in using hornekia.com's Inventory Search, then contacted them about that specific vehicle using the "I'm Interested" dialog. Brad responded shortly via SMS, said the vehicle was still available, and asked when I could come in. We agreed on a time, but then he said the vehicle would arrive on/about October 10 (today is September 3) and asked if I would be interested in a different vehicle. The one he offered was not equipped the way we want, so I said no. He asked me to come in anyway to "reserve" the vehicle I originally asked about. Sensing the direction this was headed, I asked him to confirm that the price on the website (MSRP minus about $1974 in "Horne Kia Discount" was correct and said I would be disappointed if I drive 40 miles to the dealership to learn about "market adjustments" or other such nonsense. Brad responded that they would honor the online price and that they do not have a market adjustment. However, they do have dealer add-ons that are non-negotiable - paint protection, tint, floor mats, dent protection. By this time I was pretty sure where this is headed, but agreed to listen on the add-ons and if their cost and value seem reasonable, then fine. I did tell him that "non-negotiable" on something I may not want would be an issue. We agreed to meet anyway. When my wife and I arrived at the dealership this morning, Brad greeted us with a printout detailing a vehicle like the one I wanted, but missing an important option: the towing package. He went back to check and sure enough, the vehicle I was interested in had been sold. He said we could order one exactly how we wanted it, if we could wait, and as we're not in any hurry I agreed to go through the process. He stepped away, and when he came back he asked how important color was to us (my wife's response was perfect: "It depends on the color.") Turns out, someone had just backed out of a vehicle equipped the way we wanted, but in a different color. We agreed to take a look and even went for a drive. Brad and I discussed the "non-negotiable" add-ons, which were conveniently listed on a sticker I found in the glove box. $899 paint protection, $699 "lifetime" window tint, $299 dent protection, $299 "VTR", $199 floor mats. Mats and tint, okay. Dent protection (Brad described it as a "dent doctor" type of service) ... maaayybe. $899 for paint protection - NOPE. And VTR is Vehicle Theft Registry - basically, this is the dealer rip-off where they etch the VIN on the windows as some sort of dubious theft deterrent. Also NOPE. After returning from our short test drive, Brad headed off to check on a couple of questions I had asked. My wife and I were discussing whether she would be happy with the color of the vehicle we drove when Austin Moore strolled up and introduced himself as the sales manager, right on queue. And yes, he actually did say he hoped to "earn our business", but without even the slightest pause went on to say that the vehicle we were looking is in such high demand that they HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO CHARGE A MARKET ADJUSTMENT, and there was simply no way they could honor the online price. My wife was already headed for the door, but I paused long enough to make sure this guy was serious: They really wanted full MSRP, they would not honor the advertised discount, and on top of that there would be hefty a market adjustment and another $2400 for dealer add-ons that might cost them a few hundred. I thanked Austin for restoring my conviction about the lack of integrity in the car business. He asked if I had a trade-in, I said possibly but that would be a separate discussion. He stated that the online price required a trade-in and dealer financing, and to be fair he did show me the fine print on the web site where that is "disclaimed". Curious to see just how far this would go, I allowed them to give me a price for my trade-in and their best financing terms. Twenty minutes later, Brad came back with another printout. I'm pretty sure he didn't even want to show it to me, but their "best price" for my trade-in was $7000, when Kelley Blue Book shows a Trade-in Range of $11,122-$13,531. I didn't even look at the financing info, thanked Brad for "trying", and walked out. I will say that Horne Kia was recommended to me by a colleague. His experience was different - simple transaction, paid cash, no market adjustment, happy customer. Maybe he was smart and did his car shopping at the end of the quarter, unlike me. I am very disappointed with the treatment of this Car Dealer. After having filled out the complete form with all my information online and several attempts to speak with a sales person, I requested a quo Dealer. After having filled out the complete form with all my information online and several attempts to speak with a sales person, I requested a quote to buy a KIA Forte and they would not help me unless I ran my credit. The Manager's policy is that they do not make quotes if you do not run your credit because they do not like to waste time. More

LIARS, LIARS, LIARS I have never more more disappointed and more pissed off at anything like I was today. We went to Horne Kia to see a used car they had for sale, Malik was our salesman, house liar, we to and more pissed off at anything like I was today. We went to Horne Kia to see a used car they had for sale, Malik was our salesman, house liar, we told her m our bottom line exactly what we could pay. We had been pre approved by our bank and we had a set amount down and a trade in, right away he came back and said he could do it, he lied! He told us we would be less out the door than we had offered only like $30 less but less, he lied. I could give them negative 10 stars I would, we wasted so much time there it was ridiculous, he kept bringing us papers to initial and we would ask him and read the paper which wasn’t really clear to n what it meant but we were preapproved for our loan and they ran our credit after saying they wouldn’t cause we were pre approved already by our bank so Malik had no reason to run our credit but he did cause he was trying to get us to sign off on a higher loan amount , Malik lied and lied and lied again! It was aunt until the financial person came in and was explaining our payment amount and we told him that was wrong, then Malik thought if he brought us a print out from Kelley blue book about what it was worth at the highest like 32000 but they advertised it for $25409, we offered 24500 out the door he tried to get us to pay $29511 or something like that. I will definitely tell everyone I know and all of you who check google reviews, run from this place they lie!! More
