Sarah E, the sales consultant was the one bright spot in this buying experience. She did an excellent job having the vehicles ready to test drive when we arrived. The dealership is another story. It uses the guise of a non-refundable Doc fee of $999 to pad its profits. States that regulate Doc fees allow about $100. You do the math. Then when the sale was over, and we purchased a late model/low mileage vehicle, the sales manager tried to push us out the door with just one key fob. The dealership was too cheap to cut a replacement ahead of time. Their expectation was that we would come back the next day and pay hundreds of dollars to purchase the second key, which typically comes with the vehicle. Needless to say we got the second key, but had to wait while the cut and programmed one. Don’t believe the fluff they put on their web site “you can expect a car buying experience that is fast, transparent, and respectful.” Go in expecting to be taken advantage of and you may walk out with a reasonable deal. I would have given a negative 10 if possible. My husband took my car over for preventive service for my transmission- a “flush”. The next day my transmission was slipping and moving sluggishly. A My husband took my car over for preventive service for my transmission- a “flush”. The next day my transmission was slipping and moving sluggishly. A few days after, while driving in heavy traffic my car stalled while accelerating. It was extremely dangerous, and I prayed to get home safely. I told my husband this was unacceptable and he agreed. We needed to take this car back to Hoover Toyota. We called and took the car back. They kept it overnight and a snippy female called us and said that we needed a new transmission that would cost us about $10000. We had NO trouble with our transmission before going to Hoover. Just drove it to Atlanta and Charlotte 2 weeks prior with flawless driving. Because we are old, I’m imagining the service people there thought they could get extra money from us. We will not be driving this car that is 5 yrs old that I have about 22 months of payments left. I don’t feel safe. When we calm down, we may seek a decent, honest service person to help us, maybe even legally.I have had 3 other Avalons, one I had purchased from Hoover. I will die and come back from xxxx before I would recommend anyone spending money At Hoover Toyota service. More

I visited this dealership with my granddaughter who was trying to purchase a vehicle. She is a Stylist with enough income and a trade in to handle car payments. The manager kept asking me to cosign. I had trying to purchase a vehicle. She is a Stylist with enough income and a trade in to handle car payments. The manager kept asking me to cosign. I had to tell him no twice. How can.young adults increase their credit score if dealers continue to deny them? Every dealership should have a Chance program to help those who have had unfortunate circumstances. Compassion for buyers is null and void. It has been replaced with rude, bias, opinionated people who don't even try to help anybody. No wonder your car lot is full! I remember a Manager at Nissan taking a chance on me when my credit wasn't that great. It's been 3 years. I have never missed a payment and my credit score is 809 because somebody cared! More
I will never go back to Hoover Toyota. They have changed. In the past we have had all our Toyotas (several) serviced there. No more. We took my wife's 2007 Avalon in for oil change an They have changed. In the past we have had all our Toyotas (several) serviced there. No more. We took my wife's 2007 Avalon in for oil change and tire rotation and they told us our power steering hoses were leaking and would be $900 to replace. Feed side and return side. Both sides leaking? Nothing on our garage floor? Yes, I was suspicious. We took it to a neighborhood shop and they told us it just needed clamps. The clamps get old and lose their strength. More
Outrageous pricing! ! Hit a pothole and needed one new tire on a car with 3000 miles. $400 for one tire!!! Management needs to reassess their pricing. I can get four new ! Hit a pothole and needed one new tire on a car with 3000 miles. $400 for one tire!!! Management needs to reassess their pricing. I can get four new tires for close to that amount. Employees are very courteous but Iyou get sticker shock when you get the bill. If you charge fair prices any Toyota customer would much prefer to bring their car to the dealership rather than someone else. Next time I will look elsewhere. More
My truck left the service dept with more issue than it had when I dropped it off, they had it for 2 weeks and only put a starter on it and now it has all kinds of issues. The service writer complained abo had when I dropped it off, they had it for 2 weeks and only put a starter on it and now it has all kinds of issues. The service writer complained about being on hold with the warranty company and trying to get approval. (THAT'S YOUR JOB!!) Even the warranty company suggested to take it to another dealership. I guess Hoover Toyota is only interested in doing $500 oil changes and tire rotations. More
We have bought around eight vehicles from Hoover Toyota in the last few years. The most recent is a new Rave 4 in 2023, a used 2021 Corolla , a used 2021 Rave 4 in the last few months. We purchased a new 2021 Tacoma, and several Corolla’s in the last few years. We noticed the next day that the used 2021 Rave 4 had 3 worn out tires and 1 with better tread. A tire company told us the 3 tires were worn out, and having 1 with some tread , could be hard on the drive train. Hoover Toyota refused to compensate us $855..00 for the new tires. They said “the car was inspected to Toyota standards.” We will never buy cars from them again.we will also advise friends not to buy vehicles from Hoover Toyota. .
