Buyer Beware! I bought what appeared to be a beautiful car from Honolulu Ford. I was happy at first, thinking I got a good deal. But immediately things started going bad. First it was a one inch hole i car from Honolulu Ford. I was happy at first, thinking I got a good deal. But immediately things started going bad. First it was a one inch hole in the window tint that appeared only after I accepted the car. I feel that this was intentionally hidden by tape earlier. After complaining to the salesman he said he would get it fixed and he would call me to set an apointment on Monday. But he never called, so I had to call to make the appointment. Then, after bringing in the car on Wednesday, I waited and waited for the call to pick up my car. I had to call again and finally got it back late Friday. Next problem, after reading the car manual I find out that this car can not be started without the remote. They gave me only one remote, which means if I misplace or lose the one remote, the car is inoperable. Since this is a late model car that normally comes with two remotes, I call back again. Asking for the second remote. No luck. I escalate the problem to sales manager Mark Benson, and his response after much delay is "Sorry, my hands are tied and besides the car was priced to reflect the missing remote." So they did know that this remote was missing and that the cost to replace it is $350 to $400. Otherwise how can they say the car was priced to reflect this shortcoming? I was not informed of this earlier. I feel this is deceptive salesmanship. The car was supposed to be in excellent condition. Can not have a high cost item missing. Then to make me angier, the moonroof got stuck the first time I tried it. After several phone calls and no call back, I brought the car in to the service department and explained the situation. They said they would get it fixed and call me when it is done. I waited a few days, and since so one called to give me status I called and was told the car is at Tony Group and they haven't called yet. I called Tony Group to check on the car and was told the moonroof is in bad shape and it needs a new motor and track. It is not a simple job of just tightening a few loose screws or minor adjustments. What? This car was supposed to be in excellent shape. Again, I feel the sales people knew of this problem also and they just hid it from me. I paid $21,200 plus my xterra as trade in, so around $25,000 Honolulu Ford took in from me. Since they made a big profit on this sale, shouldn't they treat me better? There were other irritating things that happened but I'm tired of typing already. Hope this message saves someone from this aggravating situation. BUYER BEWARE!!! More
