TERRIBLE SERVICE DEPARTMENT We purchased a used nissan from Hondru in Elizabethtown a few months ago. Recently it started squeaking so we thought we'd take it back to the service We purchased a used nissan from Hondru in Elizabethtown a few months ago. Recently it started squeaking so we thought we'd take it back to the service dept to get checked out. The apt was typed in under squeaks and rattles but they didn't check the brakes! We were charged $95 for a multi-point inspection that didn't include a brake check! We weren't even advised they had 2 multipoint packages to choose from! They told us they couldn't replicate the noise but there was a $900 leak to fix with the flex pipe (exaust). After we left and thoroughly looking over the receipt I called back to talk to service. I SPOKE TO STEVE. HE IS TERRIBLE AND SHOULDN'T BE ALOUD TO SPEAK WITH CUSTOMERS. I asked him several times if they checked the brakes and he kept saying "can you reproduce the noise" he did or said nothing to try and resolve my issue. He was rude! We will not be going back. More
Bad service Well my check engine light in my 2016 ram has been on for a month now, and this dealership doesn't have a single loaner in for me to use. I have calle Well my check engine light in my 2016 ram has been on for a month now, and this dealership doesn't have a single loaner in for me to use. I have called 2 times a week and I am now in my 4th week and the the red lighting Bolt has come on and the truck is on limp mode and the dealership has given me 0 solutions on my transportation, which is odd because I when I bought the truck, I also paid for the best extended service contract I could pay for so I wouldn't have this issue. My advice would be to not use this dealership for anything other than life and death situation. More
Damages private property and refuses to take responsibility My father has been purchasing vehicles from this dealer for several years. Recently he took his 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 for servicing of tire rotation and oil change. The only reason he goes there to relieve these services is he's still currently under warranty and does not cost him extra. Well this last one will now cost him $600 +. Two out of 4 tires were missing the air caps and one wheel had a large gouge out of ithe and not one that would show consistent when you say rub up against a curb. Now on another note, my father is meticulous when it comes to caring for any vehicle he's ever owned to point it's a bit obsessive but whatever makes him happy. He also parks the truck in our yard that is an acre lot with no way of rubbing it against anything. When he goes out he parks in the middle of lots so not to chance any damage coming to the vehicle by him or others. I know this was not at fault of my father. Well returned to the service shop the first chance he had and had the service manager look at it. Service manager denies his shop could have done that. I'm sorry but it has the marking of and impaction between either an impact gun or a metal work bench due to carelessness. Both the service manager and mechanic could not answer my father without stuttering or huffily denying it was them but they'd have to or pay the $600+ it will cost to replace the damaged wheel. Whenjoy asked of the air caps the manager said "he may have gotten distracted and missed them." Wow! My father will never return to them to any servicws, any new car purchases, or any referrals after this. I do not recommend investing that much money into a location that does not care about your personal property when in their care. More
Service Department Good BUT Beware of sales!!!! Bought a used car, took it for a test drive tire sounds coming from back tires. I loved the car so I told the salesman. The salesman told me "it might Bought a used car, took it for a test drive tire sounds coming from back tires. I loved the car so I told the salesman. The salesman told me "it might be a flat spot from the car sitting for a long period. I should drive for a few days . We can replace the tires if needed." I drove it for a week and no change contacted salesman he said bring it in and a service person can take it out for drive to hear the sound. I took it in the service person drove it said the back tires were cupped. Then the salesman DOUG came out to talk to me . The whole process became bad when Doug returned and said there was a measurement of trend on the tires when it was put on the lot. He also said "you bought a used car , do you expect new tires?" He said they would replace 1 tire, I wanted 2 because they both made noise. The conversation became escalated because I wanted 2 new tires. I told him I would seek help through the consumer protection . He said "You have a habit of that" he walked away to get approval on 2 tires I asked to see the GM of the dealership he was paged and when he found out who wanted him (me) he told the girl in the showroom . "That I have to talk to someone else" They did offer to buy me 2 new tires...I later refused them and got 4 new tires on my own. We have used this dealership for years because of good service department BUT NOW I wouldn't give any HONDRU dealership any recommendation nor spend any money in their service. Should have just walked away when I drove off the lot that day they didn't even wash the car before I left the day I bought it. Bate and switch! Beware. More
Repaired my Jeep when other dealers couldn't We had an oil leak in our Jeep for at least two months. We took it to Brenner first, (4 times, one time the jeep actually stayed there for 11 days). T We had an oil leak in our Jeep for at least two months. We took it to Brenner first, (4 times, one time the jeep actually stayed there for 11 days). The best they could come up with was residual oil from an oil change. We decided to get a second opinion so we brought it to Hondru. Doug was in constant communication with me the whole time my Jeep was in for service. They identified the where the issue was coming from within a few hours, ordered the part and successfully repaired it. While the Jeep was in for service, they performed all recommend updates and several recalls without being asked to. He personally test drove the vehicle to set my mind at ease. The service and skill level of their mechanics was a saving grace to the jeep brand for my wife and I. If this problem wasn't going to be fixed, we were going to cut our losses and get a subaru. More
