The worst customer service experience EVER! I have been a loyal customer to this dealership for years as I have purchased multiple vehicles from them. I took my car in for repair for starter issues along with a few others. They ensured me that the starter wasn't an issue but did repair all the other issues. I paid for the repairs but being that the service center was closed I had to go into the main lobby to pay for the repair work and to pickup my vehicle. As I entered and prepared to pay I seen another vehicle on the showroom floor which really caught my eye, keep in mind I had NO intent whatsoever in purchasing another vehicle, but I liked it so well that I purchased it anyways. I bought the car which was just repaired home and it sat for a week until we had to get out and cut the grass. Tried starting the car and to no surprise it wouldn't start. I called Honda back to have them tow my car back to the shop to repair as the starter was the main reason it was brought to their shop in the first place. I had to argue with the service manager Bill Rogers, might I add is not the friendliest customer service person on staff, until he finally agreed that they would pay for the tow as they should. They called me the next morning to tell me the repair would normally be between $700-$800, but they would be glad to give me their "employee discount" which would bring the total down to a little under $500 including the taxes. Of course, I am no mechanic by far so I called around comparing prices, I called 5 other places, including 2 other Honda Dealerships, come to find out that "employee discount" is the regular price. WOW! How dare you lie to me to act as though you are doing me a favor for my inconvenience. The service manager Bill Rogers tells me well the reason we are higher is "because you are getting a brand new Honda part with a 3 years warranty". That's awfully funny when the two other Honda dealerships I called tell me the 3 year warranty part is a refurbished Honda part, if I wanted the new Honda part it was $500+ and it only gave me a 12 month warranty. So at this point I am furious how dare you continue to lie to me. I don't think they should be fixing my car for free but I do believe in doing right by the customer and I believe in giving 110% customer satisfaction. I asked to speak to his boss, Ned Sobh's calls me back and said, "give me a few minutes to discuss everything with Bill and I will call you back." Ned never calls back he continues to have Bill call me back and tries to negotiate a deal with me. NO, at this point the only satisfaction I will have, is if you (Honda) pay the tow fee, you eat the labor cost/s and I will agree to pay for the PART. They wouldn't agree. The most they (Ned) would offer would be $100 off this visit or $150 off a future visit. Excuse me, if you could offer me $150 off my next visit why could you not give me $150 off this visit? Bill proceeds to tell me, "that just because you purchased another car from us doesn't mean that you should expect us to lose money off your repair services." I didn't expect him to do anything other then the right thing!!!! I told Bill, forget it, I am going to pay to have my car towed back to my house and I will have a more reliable, customer friendly service center repair my vehicle. He said, "no problem tell them to ask for me to get the keys." Really!?!? Where has the customer service gone at this place of business? Is it that you all are that successful and that you make that much money that you forgot about it? I feel sorry for all parties having to work/deal with these kind of people. I am so over HONDA at THE AVENUES! They have lost my business for LIFE! It's apparent that they could care less :( More
Service has declined since 2007 I am a long time customer. Bought a brand new car in 2007 and then another in 2011. Had all my service for both vehicles there. First car buying expe I am a long time customer. Bought a brand new car in 2007 and then another in 2011. Had all my service for both vehicles there. First car buying experience was fair. I had some complaints and dealership addressed and worked it out. Same with the service and because I built a relationship with service personnel I decided to buy my second car there in 2011. I had a few issues with that and since then, service area has gone way down. They do not keep me informed of when things are due for service like they use to nor do they tell me of immediate problems. I complained and yes they corrected that issue and I have returned once since then and service is still not like it use to be. Considering all the little issues when buying and now the quality of service is lacking more and more, I am taking my service for both vehicles to another dealership as well as purchase my next Honda somewhere else. Seems they have gotten to busy to take care of and provide the attention to returning customers. More
My experience at this Honda Service Center was a nightmare. They were only concerned with protecting their own assets and not the safety of their drivers. I am appalled at not only the integrity, or nightmare. They were only concerned with protecting their own assets and not the safety of their drivers. I am appalled at not only the integrity, or lack there of, of this Honda Service Center. but of Honda America. I think it's safe to say that I will never be returning, and I urge you to reconsider if your deciding on taking your car to be serviced here. More

I purchased a used Honda Civic from Honda of The Avenues October 29th, 2013 and I am loving it! Before I reached my final negotiations with the dealer, I requested that some cosmetic work be done first. T October 29th, 2013 and I am loving it! Before I reached my final negotiations with the dealer, I requested that some cosmetic work be done first. The car was sent to be worked on by Eric Lundy and crew. While I was waiting to get my car back, Mr. Lundy was sure to keep me afloat of all progress by sending pictures via email almost every day. I was very impressed by his high level of professionalism. The car looks brand new! I would highly recommend Mr. Lundy's services. More
Bobby Howard is a terrible communicator. I stopped going to Honda on Atlantic Blvd. because he tried to rip me off. I recently went to have my car serviced at the Avenues location and waited 4 hours to find to Honda on Atlantic Blvd. because he tried to rip me off. I recently went to have my car serviced at the Avenues location and waited 4 hours to find out nothing had been done to my car, apparently he told the service personell that I would not be waiting at the dealership so they didn't make my service a priority. Because he is now at the Avenues location, I guess I will be returning to the Honda on Atlantic. More
Unfriendly, uncaring attitude. Seemed focused on what he couldn't do rather than what he could do. That's when he wasn't insulting my car. Judging by the lack of greeting despite at least 2 service adviso couldn't do rather than what he could do. That's when he wasn't insulting my car. Judging by the lack of greeting despite at least 2 service advisors sitting on their rear ends, it's also clear that this dealer just doesn't care. They apparently have enough business. Stay away if all you want is your car fixed with a minimum of hassle. More

While traveling in Jacksonville in December 2011, our 09 Honda Odyssey (55,763 mi.) started making a loud noise in the back. We immediately took it to Honda of the Avenues to have it checked out, requesting Honda Odyssey (55,763 mi.) started making a loud noise in the back. We immediately took it to Honda of the Avenues to have it checked out, requesting that they test drive it and look at the wheel bearings as a possibility. We were assured they would take it out on the road to check it out. Several hours later we received a call stating there was no problem with the bearings, and blamed the noise on our TIRES. We were informed the bill would be around $100 as an inspection fee, but for $300 we could have the transmission fluid changed, and not charge us for the inspection fee. We gave our approval to do this work. Upon picking up our van, our paperwork stated "tires chopped" and "no noise heard from wheel bearings at this time." (We also noted that the mileage in/out was the same number, so we wondered if they even took it out on the road.) After arriving home, the loud noise continued and got worse. We then took our van into a Goodyear Tire dealer to check out the tires. We were informed that the tires were fine, wearing well, and were not chopped. They then proceeded to show us the BAD WHEEL BEARINGS on the left rear tire -- THE VERY THING WE REQUESTED TO BE CHECKED. We then called Honda Customer Service, who instructed us to take the vehicle in to the nearest dealer, Brandon Honda. They checked the noise and replaced the bearings on the left rear wheel. This work was covered under the vehicle warranty, and they gave us excellent service. I would not recommend Honda of the Avenues to my worst enemy, and have told this incident to our many family and friends in the Jacksonville area. More
I would not reccommend this dealer to my worst enemy! I purchased a vehicle from Honda of the Avenues and the service in general has been jacked up from the very beginning! I have had to call on three sep purchased a vehicle from Honda of the Avenues and the service in general has been jacked up from the very beginning! I have had to call on three seperate occassions to reorder a part that was never ordered initially, which is a huge inconvience and the parts and sales representative don't really care at all. I honestly would by a new bicycle before buying another Honda from the Avenues! I would travel elsewhere to do business with another Honda dealership if I were you. Good luck! More
