This is my second car through Kam and both times were great experiences! He is helpful, personable and always available to answer questions when I had them. This is my second negative experience with Honda of Westport. Talked to the used car sales manager (forgot his name) about interest in my Honda coming off of lease and was met with immediate condescens Westport. Talked to the used car sales manager (forgot his name) about interest in my Honda coming off of lease and was met with immediate condescension and he got defensive about being used as a "gauge" and would only consider it if I was leasing a new car. Telling me that leased vehicles don't have equity and once he figured out I knew what I was talking about, mentioned that they don't need it since Honda has no problems with supplying cars and that my car doesn't sell at Westport. Called three other Honda dealers in the area which immediately showed interest and did not care about if I was leasing a new vehicle. This interaction fits the used car salesman stereotype all to well. More

It is clear to me now that one bad experience is not representative of this dealership. Owner Evan Perkins clearly understands the value of a loyal and repeat customer and he pulled out all the stops to make sure that my experience was the best it could be. My willingness to give him and the dealership a second chance was contingent on the fact that they not hold the new salesman responsible for what happened as it was not his fault. It is evident to me that they stand by their word and are supporting this young man through coaching and mentoring and they have assured me that he has a bright future with them. This evening I picked up my new 2022 Honda Pilot and the process was seamless. There are several people to thank but first and foremost I want to thank Diamani Bailey for making the process easy and pleasant from the moment I first stepped foot in the dealership. Honda of Westport is very lucky to have you and I know you will be successful at whatever you do. I also have to thank Joss Brenner for being a man of integrity and for recognizing the value and importance of service recovery. It is easy to walk away angry when a situation does not go as planned but none of us are perfect and we all deserve a second chance to do the right thing.
