Told me I needed to replace my catalytic converter bc the car was not driving well. I did the replacement and 2 weeks later the car had several lights turn including the engine light. I had Mavis do a diagnostic test on it. 2 out of 4 lights were relating to the catalytic converter. So I thought I would bring it back to Honda since they just replaced it. Unfortunately the man at mavis reset the car so the lights weren’t on when I brought it over to the dealer. I did show them a photo of the report but they didn’t seem to want to take a good look at that bc they told me they will get their own report. They told me it could be the spark plugs. So now I’m in the hole 2200. For the converter. Another 300 and change for the spark plugs. They assure me that my car seems fine. So I pick it up around noon, drove it home and it sat until 5:30. I get in and the car is completely awful. I couldn’t go over 20 mph. I called they had me bring it back. Then I was told it might be this or it might be that or this… they didn’t sound mildly certain about any of it.. the 3 suggestions were ranging from $800. To $1400 to $4k. I said no thanks and had it towed to a private mechanic who replaced the coils and put some seafoam through the car and what do you know it’s fixed for $460. I felt that while the people there seemed nice they had no knowledge of how to fix my Honda which is difficult to understand being that it’s a Honda dealer. More
