I purchased a 2018 Hyundai Tucson on June 3. I did not make my first payment yet, or insurance payment, or had it inspected. Went to a birthday party on June 24th. On the way home the engine sta I did not make my first payment yet, or insurance payment, or had it inspected. Went to a birthday party on June 24th. On the way home the engine started to make a very loud knocking noise from the engine. June 26, had it towed to Lester Glenn Hyundai because the service technician at Honda told me they usually don't work on Hyundai. Today, I spoke to Chris at Hyundai and he told me my Tucson needed a new engine. I could not believe my ears. He is waiting for approval from Hyundai to move forward with this. I am seriously looking into the New Jersey Lemon Law to get a refund on my car. Like I said, I haven't even made my first payment. I have called Hyundai of Toms River and left a voice mail for Delia and spoke to Lisa in service who said she would send Mike in service an email. I cannot tell you how pissed off I am and I know any one of you would be if you were in my shoes. I truly hope someone will give me a call, because so far I never get a return call. If this is how you treat your customers, then I guess I can too. More
