Worst Experience and unethical dealership Vehicle : Honda CRV 2017 Michael Vogt - Product Specialist - The Sales person Steve Nunes - Finance Manager - Who handled the loan applicat Vehicle : Honda CRV 2017 Michael Vogt - Product Specialist - The Sales person Steve Nunes - Finance Manager - Who handled the loan application Joesph Markese - Finance Manager - The person who completed the paper work for loan application I bought my Honda CRV from Honda of Toms River on Jan 2017. Since I got a decent deal on the vehicle through a friend, I didn't negotiate the rate or even test drive the car on the day but trusted the dealer would be genuine and professional and agreed to purchase in twenty minutes. Before I proceeded with the loan application I clearly mentioned my status as well as my credit score. I was assured that everything will be taken care well enough. I signed the usual forms to proceed with the loan application. I told them I will go with 24 months and I'm capable and willing to pay the loan in 24 months. I was told by Steve considering my credit duration I might be approved only for 60 months and not anything apart from that and I agreed to it. Steve was on call with the bank and I was keep on updated every few minutes they will take care everything and do the best. Steve approached me after 10 minutes and told since i have a limited credit duration, thought with a great credit score, he can only get 10% interest rate and I agreed since I already had a pre-approval from DCU and considering it would take a week for the cheque to be collected, I decided to accept the 10% assuming I will do a refinance and will close the loan at the earliest. After that, things changed drastically, Joe was completing the paperwork and he sounded rude and frustrated. Being a first time buyer from the dealer, I had several questions and he was rushing up. While signing the paperwork, I told I don't need a gap insurance. He was very rude and murmured "How could you be trusted and offered such a huge amount". I felt humiliated and already spent around 2 hours in the dealership and also traded in my old car too. At this point of time, I didn't feel to purchase but considering the time and effort I spent already I proceeded uncomfortably. After a week, I started getting denial letters from more than 5 banks and it keeps continuing until now and so far i have received 15 denial letters. My credit score was more than 750 and I had a pre-approval loan from DCU. I spent cautiously two years to build this credit score and the dealership ruined everything. I was fed-up and I called to inquire. I called Joe several times on February 1st and 2nd week and couldn't reach him but left 3 voice mails. There was no response. I called Adan the GM on Friday 9th February and left a detailed Voice message and requested for a call back and so far no response. Such a worst dealership and unethical people and never know how to deal customers. I have met several dealership and was in market for more than 6 months for a new vehicle but never seen such an unprofessional dealership. More
Great Experience! Doug was more than just a salesman because he didn't just want to sell me a car, he truly cared about making me comfortable and found the perfect vehicle for me. Doug was able to provide me with a great price, and made the whole process extremely easy. After everything was said and done, Doug took the time to teach me all the ins and outs of the vehicle and even set up my bluetooth for me.
