It was a decent discount and with approval, Doug honored it. There were 2 CRV's Ex models in stock and both were the same color. I negotiated for the EX model, Honda having a fixed price on their models. The only way the price changes is with Dealer added options. There was a trade in involved, and took a beating on that, but we arrived at a fair price on the CRV. So after everything was agreed, Doug wrote up the purchase order and presented it to me. I inquired about the discount, but the price was higher because of dealer add ons. He never mentioned about these options that came with the vehicle before the agreement and we never saw this extra sticker until he presented it to us afterwards. We were there quite a while and I was a little upset, but decided to go forward, as I really liked the vehicle. More

Confirmed the car on the phone 24 hours. Ghost Car Do not work with Rickie Amiscosa. He is extremely unprofessional and unorganized in the automotive business. I had confirmed with their internet sales rep Karen on a 2014 CRV with 15000 miles. Upon arrival, i had to tell him what the stock number was. Only for him to tell me the vehicle i had reserved for test drive and potential sale is no longer available because a sales manager had taken it for their own use. Rickie doesnt bother to apologize. When expressed to Rickie how this is disappointing because i drove an hour to see a specific car. He then just shrugs his shoulder and asks me: what would like me to do? The manager has the car. When i bring up the example: what if you called ahead to a restaurant for your family to reserve a table and when you arrive, the staff tells you we dont have a table for you. Would you be disappointed and upset. I had told Rickie. I am not a walk in customer. I am an internet customer who confirmed multiple times since Aug 1st if this car was available and told yes. Even the night before, Karen asked if i was coming in. Why go through so many confirmations and then the car is a no show. Rickie then says I can go to another dealer because he feels there is absolutely nothing he can do since a manager took the car for themselves. I would of hands down paid the interest posted price on this car but Rickie here didnt want an easy sale. He has ZERO clue on courtesy, professionalism and respect for customers. No apologies. No attempt to try to see if he can get the car back from the manager. Its because of this experience that makes me distrust Honda of Toms River. It is the only dealer i have reserved a car to view and drive and the car is not there!! What worse is that they confirmed multiple times of my visit for Saturday. Thats the sad part. Rickie here isnt hungry enough to make a sale. He just saw me as an annoyed customer saying other CRVs on the lot are the same but i am looking for the lower mileage one. Rickie represents what used car salesmen used to be in the 1970-1980s. Completely dishonest and doesnt know the customer is the reason why he gets his commission and bonuses. More

Jason Betterley the sales manager helped us with a final deal and was very pleasant and accommodating. Our delivery experience was also top of the line and Steve Severio went over and above with his helpfulness and follow through. We would recommend Steve Severio to anyone we know who was interested in buying a Honda. Time will tell how service visits go, but for now, Honda of Toms River is number one in our book.
