Dishonest dealership After purchasing our Ford Focus 2014 from Honda of Toms River in spring of 2016 we quickly returned our vehicle within two weeks of purchase complaini After purchasing our Ford Focus 2014 from Honda of Toms River in spring of 2016 we quickly returned our vehicle within two weeks of purchase complaining about a pulling transmission.They told us it was supposed to feel like that ,me and my husband did not accept that as an answer so they sent it next door to Downs Ford to see what’s the problem was after reluctantly giving us a loaner car for the two days.The first time they did nothing but reset the computer .We then brought it back second time and was not granted a loaner for same issue with a week later .Honda then called us to tell that the repair will be 500$ and they where not covering it.Only after putting a review on this same website did we get a phone call begging us to take the review down and they would cover the repair.We got the car back with the same problem and was told from both Honda and Ford that the electronic transmision needs to adjust to our driving habits and would not feel like that anymore after 500 miles .So we took there word for it.Forbthe next year it continued and we just thought it was normal .One day the very next summer the car broke down on the parkway for a transmission failure. After doing some research there is a class action lawsuit on these cars prior to us buying this car .when we contacted Ford Corporation they told us that the dealer ship should have informed us that electronic transmission performs like a Manuel clutch and you need to anticipate the gas and brake as if you where driving a stick shift.Wow! My wife never drove a stick before so we wouldn’t have bought a car we were supposed to treat like one and I wouldn’t have drove an automatic like an automatic whatever that means knowing about these electronic clutch behaviors.The class action lawsuit has been dragging out for a few years and honestly we don’t have money to pay 300 a month in finance charges and pay 3500.00 on a repair that we noticed to be a problem since we bought the car.When we brought it back the first time we asked to be put in a different car Honda of Toms River refused.nobody is willing to do the right thing with the repair neither so we will voluntarily surrender the vehicle to the finance company this month and have to deal with the bad credit report. Over all Ford has some blame but there is nothing worse then A dishonest snake oil sales place like Honda of Toms River More

Beware of dealer add on’s, the sticker should be displayed and negotiated accordingly before the contract is written. More
Second time around I bought a new CRV in January from Tom Stimpfel. It was a very easy experience. I decided to go with the HRV so I met with Tom again and I am now the I bought a new CRV in January from Tom Stimpfel. It was a very easy experience.
