Our service advisors state recommendations based on the computer and owner's manual. Service records from a certified service dealer results in better resale value for you in the long run than an independent one that perhaps charges less and doesn't use OEM parts. We are sorry the customer feels this way. After researching the purchase date the vehicle only had 63,000 miles on it and the vehicle was offered for sale at a discounted price without the extra expense of replacing the timing belt and water pump to be added to the cost of the vehicle to the customer at time of purchase. Upon owning it for over 20,000 miles the option to have this work performed anytime during that period was now the customer's responsibility. In the future it would be better business decision for us to make those replacements and the sale price reflective then rather than have a customer distressed about it after the sale. We try to make the customer happy with their decision upon sale is our main goal, but also is important after the sale. We strive to do better decision in the future regarding these matters.
