This is the third Honda I have leased or purchased through Kristen. She is the best. Kristen is very knowledgeable about the CR-V and helped my wife and I make some difficult decisions like which mod through Kristen. She is the best. She went over the car with me thoroughly. We are extremely satisfied and and have received several compliments on the car and especially the color. I should have gone to this guy in the first place since my buddy Nick referred me to him. Even though it was a bit out of the way I said what the xxxx, let me check it out. I was a little rough on him, I even had a bit of an attitude and said "I'm not buying today" Unlike others that I said that to, he let it go right over his head and just answered every question I had. He put up with all my trick questions. Long story short, He didn't ignore me because I wasn't buying today. This guy "Doug Daniele" knew every inch of the car, the Price, the Finance....didn't stumble and didn't say "let me go ask my manager" ..he was a true gentleman.. he even suggested a lower price car because of the equipment I really didn't need in the higher priced EX ...Guess what, I bought my new CRV that day. As for the price,,,I guess he really saved me $2000 because I bought the lower priced LX. I checked the internet when I got home, the price seemed good, it was right between Kelly's and Edmunds which was alright with me. The rate was 1/4 higher than my credit union though but who needs the paperwork hasssel, and it was only $1.50 more a month anyway....Weather or not he was more or less than another dealer it's hard to tell because I couldn't get a straight answer form the other dealers. None the less when I left I didn't feel like was violated I actually feel like I was consoled and taken care of so give or take a hundred or two on the price, who cares, I left with my new car feeling good!!!! Just stop what your doing and go buy a car from this guy.......On yeah, one thing, I had to wait a half an hour to see him. He is crazy busy so if you don't want to wait you better call ahead of time for an appointment. More
Ater leasing a Honda Pilot from D&C Honda for three years we decided to buy it at the quoted price. I asked the salesperson for a breakdown of the costs. I never received one, Instead I received a figure we decided to buy it at the quoted price. I asked the salesperson for a breakdown of the costs. After going to the dealer with a cashier's check ready to buy it, I was given a printed paper with a fee unidentified in the total amount that was for $595.00. When questioning it, first I was told it was for a finance charge when I explained we were not financing, the story changed , it was now "dealer policy". When I asked to speak to the manager for an explanation, he refused to even come out of his office to talk to us. The dealership has refused to give us a list of all associated fees and charges for transferring the ownership. I called Honda Financing and they will process the purchase without any fees. Don't believe any thing that the dealer tells you unless its in writing.. I believe an apology or explanation from the dealer is essential Angela Addendum : In all fairness I would like to add that on Sept. 11th and again on Sept 12th, the owner of this dealership,Jeffrey Dorf, called me and apologized profusely for what had happened. He truly seemed upset for what had happened on our previous visit and was livid with his two enmployees for being so secretive in not giving us a full explanation and telling us immediately that a car can be bought from Honda itself without incurring additional charges.. He further promised that their policy will change in their dealing with customers, in the future. Hw further tried to appease us by offering a discount book for car maintenance at no charge to us. I believe he is really trying to maintain a good relatioship with us and I will give him the benefit of the doubt. More
My wife and I have recently leased a couple of Accords from D&C Honda. Generally speaking, we’ve been very satisfied with D&C in general and with their service department in particular. We always had the cars serviced exclusively at D&C since is was one town away from our house. One of my kids is graduating next month and we wanted to buy a new Accord and my wife wanted to lease a new Pilot. I told her to go to the showroom and have a look at the models and test drive what she was interested in. My wife, with your mail asking us to come in and talk in her hand, sat down with one of D&C’s salesmen (not Jerry). During the course of their conversation, my wife asked a simple question about financing options. The salesman told her “I don’t know much about finance terms. Most of our customers can afford to write a check.” What could he have meant from this comment except as an attempt to insult my beautiful Asian wife. We went down the street to DeFeo BMW and bought a nice 328 and leased an X5 for my wife. Those salesmen really know how to treat their customers whether they are women, Asians or whatever. It’s funny. Before this incident I would have thought the BMW guys to be more inclined to act as arrogant snobs. D&C - Thanks for nothing. PS: We wrote a check. PSS: Take me off your mailing list. This was my first time leasing a Honda (accord) ....I love it! Kristen was great! She knows the car inside and out ... I was very comfortable dealing with her .she was friendly a ....I love it! I would stay away from this dealership! they are nothing but a bunch of lies, trying to make you believe that other dealers will charge you hidden fees, and also trying to get you to believe that their pric but a bunch of lies, trying to make you believe that other dealers will charge you hidden fees, and also trying to get you to believe that their price is the most fair one out there. I see comments everywhere saying that people have purchased the car of their choice at another dealership for less than what D&C Honda of Tenafly offered. I dealt with internet sales inquiring about an accord. First, i told them what another dealership has offered to me, and asked if they could price match. This is where the rudeness began, the speaker on the phone didn't care about the price the other dealer gave me and proceded to brain wash me by saying they have the best and fair deal and that i am getting lied to and ripped off. It was very ironic that she was saying i'm getting lied to by the other dealership when she was lying to me all along. Now that my name was in the system, she proceded to call me day after day, week after week, spamming my voicemail like an annoying telemarketer trying to get a sale. I told them to please take me off the list because i have bought the car elsewhere at a CHEAPER price. I have friends and family who also own honda's and have visited this dealership, they all tell me that this dealership is the one who usually gives the highest quotes. They stand by their reputation telling me the same robotic crap that they've been family owned for 70+ years and that a good majority of their customers are repeat. I don't need to hear that crap everyday, i just want to buy a car.. Stay away from this dealership! Other dealerships offer better prices!! Secondly, i own an 2006 Atomic Blue Civic sedan. I needed touch up paint for my car because of some rock chips that chipped off the paint in my front bumper. Nothing serious, just minor. I went to DCH Paramus Honda and asked if they had any available. All i asked for was, "do you have any atomic blue touch up paint for a 2006 Civic." the girl kindly replied saying they are out of stock now but will have some probably next week.. I figured, D&C Honda of Tenafly would have it, so i went to the service, spoke to some young guy in the parts section and asked, "do you have Atomic Blue touch up paint for a 2006 civic." he tells me, whats the paint code of your civic? I asked, why do you need it when i'm telling you the color is Atomic Blue?, he then proceeded and asked where my car was? i said it's outside and he asked to take a look at it. I brought him to my car and this is why i will never come back to this dealer ever. He tried to give me a smart*** remark by saying "that looks like Royal Blue to me" with a rude tone voice. This guy was trying to make me a fool by saying my car looked like a Royal Blue? I know the difference between Atomic Blue and Royal Blue, i bought the car KNOWING what color i WANTED and GOT. And you have this know-it-all parts guy asking for a paint code when i clearly said my car was Atomic Blue, and proceeds to deny me that my car looked like Royal Blue.... He finally looked at the paint code and admitted his mistake saying that it is the color i asked for, Atomic Blue. I just laughed in his face and left. I will never go to this dealership ever for sales or service, even if it was the last one on Earth. More
