Kristen contacted me promptly by phone and e-mail after I e-mailed Honda that I was looking to purchase a Honda Fit.I called her back and set up an appointment. She showed me the Fit in the showroom, compared it to the Civic, which I was also considering, and I decided to take a test drive in the Fit because I preferred it. The course was varied with hills included so I could get a good sense of the car's ability. When I decided that was the one I would like to purchase, she gave me prices for the Fit Base and Fit Sport and when I decided on the Fit Sport she convinced me to buy it that day, not in a pushy way, by lowering the price just a bit and throwing in a portable GPS. So it was very quick and I was able to pick up my car that same day. So I was very happy. More

In search for my Honda Pilot I visited D&C Honda and was appointed Jerry Holmes as my Salesman. Prior to visiting the dealership I read some bad reviews but I figure I take a chance to see if it's true or appointed Jerry Holmes as my Salesman. Prior to visiting the dealership I read some bad reviews but I figure I take a chance to see if it's true or not. I can tell you that it's not true because I can't see how someone had a bad experience with D&C because mine was exceptional! Jerry was so detailed in explaining the features of the car that no other dealer even mentioned to me so it made me wonder if the other dealers I visited really knew their car. After the test drive felt no pressure or obligation that I had to buy the car. I've felt very pressured at other dealers where they would tell me I would never find a deal like this and I am going to miss out and blah blah blah. It's a very uncomfortable feeling to have when your shopping to spend over $25k. I know all reviews are biased but my feeling after being at this dealership I feel everyone can have the same great experience I did. Keep in mind I live in Long Island and traveled to NJ to purchase this car. If I had to do this all over again and found a similar vehicle in LI I still would choose D&C as my dealership. My review After 1 month of ownership: It's Spring now and we all know the weather can be tricky where it's still cool but we still can get those hot days even though its not summer. The first hot day of this year was so hot that I had to use my A/C. As I turned it on I felt the cool air coming out but noticing it wasn't getting cooler. I was shocked to find how weak it was and figured there had to be something wrong. First thing Monday morning I contacted a local dealer in LI and dropped it off for service. I received a call back from the servicing dealership. I was extremely disturbed to hear that there was a pin size puncture on the condensor. The service manager than told me that I would cost me a little over $700 to replace it which also includes labor. I figured this would be covered under warranty but he explained it wouldn't be. I could not believe within the first 30 days of owning this car that I am experiencing this. I asked them to hold off on fixing it that I needed to contact D&C Honda. I know it was certified but I wondered if something like this was maybe missed or maybe did it really happen to be punctured by a rock in the first month me driving (not even 500 miles were put on) it. So I called and asked to speak to Jerry Holmes but he happened to be off that day so i asked if there was a manager I could speak to and that's when I was introduced to Donald Dwan. I explained what happened as calm as I can be but keep in mind how frustrated I was to be going through this. Donald's was very surprised that this happened and explained how each vehicle inspected to become certified. I was like oh no here we go again, he's going to tell me that I have no choice but to pay to get it fixed. He asked me to bring it in to D&C and that they would take a look at it to make the determination on how it happened or if it was missed. The problem is that I live in LI and traveling to NJ was not something I wanted to do since the LI dealership was going to make me pay for the evaluation they did on the car. Donald responded by saying that he was going to call me back and look into this further but he assured me that he was going to take care of this. He called me back with a resolution and was shocked on what he had to say! He said lets not have you bring it to us but lets have the LI servicing dealership fix it and they will pick up the bill. I couldn't believe that he was offering this. I didn't have to yell, all I did was speak to him calmly and explained what happened and he listened. He did explain how the condensor can get punctured on new/used cars and how it's covered but he was surprised on how soon it happened and felt that I shouldn't be going through this. I still can't believe how I was hearing this. He truly made me happy on how understanding he was. The best experience I ever been through! I don't think any other dealership would have done this. In the end I had a great sales experience and also a service experience that was handled in a professional manner. When the time comes to buy another Honda there is no question on which dealership I will be visiting. More
I have bought or leased several cars now thru D&C Honda and have referred friends and family and will continue to. The first time I ever walked into the dealership I didnt know much about Hondas since they also sold Chevys at that time as well. The salesperson was very helpful,friendly,courteous, not a pressure like other dealerships I had been to. They listened instead of talking and didnt turn me off trying to oversell me. So this made them more credible to me and I listened back. I did purchase a Chev. Malibu and also was very pleased with the service dept. & staff under Bob Brislin. Anytime if there was a concern, I knew I could contact even the ownership, Mr. Jeffrey Dorf and he would pick up the phone unlike the big highway dealers. I watched D&C Honda grow over the years and add to their car line, the staff,service,hours,waiting areas, all adding things for the comfort and convenience of their customers. It makes the whole buying process and service experience more pleasant. The followup process afterward to make sure you are happy with everything goes along way as well. If there was a problem, they dont shy away from it, they resolve it. So the next time I was ready for another car I came back to D & C, and although my original salesperson wasnt there, and they didnt have Chevys, but Hondas, I listened about the Hondas. I met a salesperson that at this point has been outstanding in his class, Mr. Herbie Rosario. At first I wasnt so sure about converting from Chevy to Honda. That all changed. Herbie was a real person listening to my wants and needs in a car, and was very knowledgeable about Honda and confident in the selection they offered and that we could find something that would be a fit. He stuck with me and was patient through the whole selection & buying process. He is very professional and I feel that since he is happy with his profession and where he is working it makes a big difference when dealing with customers. He opened the door for me to even consider a Honda and has kept me as a loyal customer ever since. He just helped me obtain a CRV and I'm very happy with this. I have referred several friends to him personally to help with buying or leasing Hondas. I used to run from dealerships in the past due to their salespeople and lack of communication skills, rudeness, or poor knowledge of what they represent. D & C has the whole package.... Especially Mr. Herbie Rosario, Mr. Bob Brislin, Mr. Mitch, and the service team! To Mr. Jeff Dorf, congratulations on assembling this winning team, and keeping them happy. I came into this dealership very frustrated with another location and Doug was extremely helpful giving me numbers and was very fair and upfront.
