Three years ago I wanted to by a Fit. I went to another dealer first, and had also closed the deal when he told me he couldn't promise it for a specific time, but it would be several weeks. Then I found H dealer first, and had also closed the deal when he told me he couldn't promise it for a specific time, but it would be several weeks. Then I found Herbie. He got me exactly the model I wanted (even color) in two weeks. I came back a week later and bought a used Accord from him for my son. Last month we traded in three cars and bought two certified used Hondas from him. I never even considered talking to anyone else. He was patient (there were four of us haggling over what to buy), good-humored, absolutely no pressure. It felt like it was about what we wanted to buy, not what he wanted to sell. By the way, until 2007 I had never bought a non-American car. Now I own three Hondas. Herbie had a lot to do with that! I really can't imagine going to anyone else to buy a car (and I had been a very loyal Ford customer for about 15 years but never felt that way about the dealers who sold me my cars). More

After we made our purchase he even took quite a bit of time out to show us all the features, demonstrated them for us and had us repeat them to insure we knew how to work everything from folding seats down, to removing them, down to how to change the time on the clock!!! Herbie is very attentive and friendly. He is NOT you typical high pressure salesman. He is not great remembering names of past customers, but he knew we had been to him before which is a plus in my book typical high pressure salesman. If all dealerships had people like Herbie, I think the industry would be so much better, no one would be worried about being taken advantage of. AS much as people always complaining and make a bad name for things, I also like to commend people for great work too. My only criticism would be with the credit department. They were VERRRRRRY slow in calling us in to finish the paperwork. He was very nice when we got in the office, but it was uncomfortably slow. Thanks Herbie, we will see you again, and a referral! Kristen tells it like it is. Kristen was incredibly patient with myself and my daughter. We test drove several models and had her explain all the features of each one. We ended up buying a car that I never had heard of (Honda Crosstour) however it was the perfect fit for my daughter since it had all the features we were looking for and a 9.9 safety rating. Any other dealer (I have previously purchased over 20 cars and have extensive experience with dealers) would have kept pushing us to buy the first model we test drove but Kristen wanted to make sure we bought the best car for us. Besides her patience Kristen knew not only the Honda product line but the comparable products. She throughly explained all of the differences between the different cars (I know since while we were at DC Honda I checked on my blackberry). It was refreshing to deal with a car salesperson who was honest and helpfull. I plan on purchasing at least one and maybe two more cars from DC Honda and Kristen in the near future. More
