This honda dealership an exceptional place. The people here treat you with respect and above all they are honest. I have been to many dealerships where they use such hard sales tactics I really feel that here treat you with respect and above all they are honest. I have been to many dealerships where they use such hard sales tactics I really feel that I don't want to return. The people at Honda Superstition Springs make you feel at home before, during, and most importantly after a sale. I have been taking my wife's HOnda Oddessy there for service for the past year and half and I can always say I feel at home there. They alway adress any issues I have and I continue to feel as though I had made the best choice in choosing a Honda. Infact with my second car purchase I considered other manufactures that offered equally good vehicles for sale. The thing that made me choose Honda over the others was the service. I feel they have good quality cars and a service center that keeps them running in perfect shape! What more could I say? This dealership is head and shoulders above the competition! I was so pleasantly surprised by our experience. It was by far one of the best experiences in a dealership that I have have experienced. Chris Zamora was warm and friendly, Karen very nice, and Elvis refre by far one of the best experiences in a dealership that I have have experienced. Chris Zamora was warm and friendly, Karen very nice, and Elvis refreshingly different and attentive. Seeing Pat in finance was like visiting with an old friend. We felt that we got a great deal and love the car. Still need to go back and get after market merchandise but I feel confident that it will be another wonderful trip there. Thank you! More
I purchased my car from Honda of superstition spring a year and a half ago. The car I purchased came with a 2 year 100mile extended warranty. I though I was getting a pretty good deal. I have had little p year and a half ago. The car I purchased came with a 2 year 100mile extended warranty. I though I was getting a pretty good deal. I have had little problems with the car until just recently. My warranty will expire in 15k or a matter of months. The transmission in my car has started to malfunction. Taking the advice of the service department, I had the fluid changed to verify that wasn't the problem, before risking the RIDICULOUS $110 diagnostic FEE. So I had the fluid changed and the malfunction persisted. I took my car to Honda of Superstition springs to have it diagnosed for warranty repair. They told me it would cost $200 if it is covered under warranty, and $110 if its not and they do nothing. I waited 2 days for there tech to diagnose it, and to call an "inspector" to diagnose it again. The transmission malfunctioned for the tech but not the "inspector" and the denied the claim. The chose not to charge me $110, so I left it with them again, and reiterated that the transmission had to be cold to malfunction completely. I waited 2 more days. This time I rode with the "inspector" and the transmission did malfunction with the inspector and the tech in the car. The transmission grinds in 3rd and 5th. The inspector claims there was a leak on the transmission, leading to the transmission being under filled damaging the syncros. When in fact there is fluid coming out of the breather at the top of the transmission because the tech at the dealership who changed the fluid, overfilled the transmission. More
There was a car that I really liked at this dealership so I went over there to apply for finance. Before I went there I was pre-approved at Cardinale Way Mazda, but Honda had a car that was in my price range I went over there to apply for finance. Before I went there I was pre-approved at Cardinale Way Mazda, but Honda had a car that was in my price range and more of what I wanted. I drove over there and no one offered a test drive on the car. I did the paperwork and they said they could not give me an answer because their finace manager was not there. They "supposidly" called her and asked her to come in. So I left. I called the next morning at 9 am and asked if she was there or when she would be, they told me 9am. So I went back up there and when I got there they told me that she now wouldn't be in until 12... So I waited. After all of this she couldn't even give me any answers said she would have to figure it out and the bank had a hold of 1 hour and 45min, so I left again and she said she would be calling me by that evening or tomorrow and... and take a wild guess... She did not. Overall, I felt like this dealership was just giving me the run around. They were not sensative to my situation and I think when it comes to financing someone a dealership should always have someone there during sales business hours to get you an approval or a denial, it shouldn't resort to one person who is not there. I ended up getting a car that I am very happy with from CardinaleWay Mazda who was absolutely amazing and NOTHING like Super S Honda!!! They we a million times better!! I would never go back to them, or refer anyone there. If anything I would deter customers from going there!!! More
I came in responding to a price I had received through an Internet/Fleet quote but ended up haggling anyway, which was frustrating. After we agreed upon a price for my trade and the car I had test drove the Internet/Fleet quote but ended up haggling anyway, which was frustrating. After we agreed upon a price for my trade and the car I had test drove they started the paperwork and I was ready to head home with a new pilot until they presented me with a much higher than expected monthly fee. It turns out they attempted to finance me with an absurdly high rate. I used my phone to get on the Internet and within minutes had a rate 2.5% lower than what they had offered. They came back a moment later with a matching rate and a story that the manager was able to talk Honda credit into lowering my rate. What a load of B.S. - they had attempted to put me into some financing that I am sure would give them some commission and then called Honda credit after I protested. After they recalculated the payment with the new rate the figure was still higher than I expected and I asked to see the details...They had inserted almost a thousand dollars of misc. fees including some B.S. about a VIN tracking service for theft and window tint that I had not asked for. I walked out and I suggest you don't waste your time there, but if for some reason you have to, please watch the details carefully. More
I have purchased quite a few cars in my day and honestly I have never gotten the kind of service I got at Superstition Honda. I had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I had this dealership confused with another where I had bought from many years ago. I knew that they had moved to the new part of Mesa within the last few years and had changed their name. I asked the sale bought from many years ago. I knew that they had moved to the new part of Mesa within the last few years and had changed their name. I asked the salesman where they were before and whether certain people were still there. He did not know. I told him I was interested in a Fit primarily to cut down on gas costs and he arranged for me to take a test drive in one. During that drive I remarked that the suspension seemed a little soft and while the handling was not bad it did not seem real good either. He responded that Honda puts soft suspension onto all of their cars to improve the handling. The logic of that statement escaped me and I asked how by softening the suspension the handling was improved. He did not seem to have the answer. When we returned to the showroom he asked me how much I wanted for my trade in. After many visits to his boss, he finally told me my figure had been accepted and then produced a sheet of paper which showed a figure some $500 less. At that point I asked for my keys back and he went away and returned with an amended figure. As I did not want a red car like the demo one, he pointed out a couple of silver ones on the lot which were the base model but came with a manual gearshift like the one I had driven. I asked what the differences were between them, apart from the color, and he told me that the base model came with steel wheels and not alloy wheels, and did not have a spoiler, fog lights or lower plastic trim. I asked whether there were any performance or handling upgrades available, and he replied not. I told him that I was not interested in paying for cosmetics. In spite of that he tried to push some polish job, and window tint. The car apparently came with keyless entry/security system, trunk mad and some flimsy mudguards which pushed the price up another $1000 . I told him ok, but if he did not offer any performance upgrades, I was not interested in the extended warranty, polish job, or window tinting. He was very pushy but I told him again that I did not want those items and did not want him to fetch his manager to grind me down. He told me that someone else would be taking care of the paperwork, and I told him to tell him that I am not going to but those items. In spite of that the paperwork guy still had a go at pushing those things. Why would I want a warranty when I normally keep a car for 3 years, and while window tinting is very desirable I have used the same man for the last 5 cars, and have been very happy. As for a $400 polish job -! Finally I got out of there, and on the drive to my office felt that the car, handled differently to the demo car, it seemed even softer and more squirmy. Basically the handling was really horrible. I pulled into a gas station to check the tires and although because they were warm I could not get a proper reading, one of the fronts was 6# less than the other so I corrected that. Unfortunately it did not make much difference. Going onto a curved freeway ramp the car under steered badly, plowed and the front tires seemed to scrub. I had read that these cars were “fun to drive”, but this one was sure no fun. I later found out that, the demo car I had driven was fitted with wider, lower profile tires, and a rear anti sway, or roll bar. I think the struts also may have been different but cannot confirm this. I also learned that the demo version also came with the keyless security system at no extra charge and for which I had been charged a further $700 for. On one of the many occasions while the salesman had disappeared while leaving me waiting in the showroom I had ample opportunity to look at all the Honda promotional showcards and brochures, non of which featured this particular model, so at the time my only information on the differences came from the salesman. Honda should make a point of having point of sale material available on All of their models. A few days later I had a call from the finance manager wanting to finalize the finance paperwork. At that point I told him I was very unhappy and asked how much extra it would cost for me to change over cars. He did not know but would have someone call me back. The only callback I had was from someone from American Honda wanting a survey. The next day I had a call from the Honda salesman wanting to know why I had given them a bad rating. After telling him in detail he offered no comment and hung up. These people are either crooks, or badly trained and ill informed on their products, apart from which they are extremely pushy, unfriendly and insincere. I am definitely at fault through not doing product research before going to the showroom, and also for not demanding my keys back when they lied about giving me the trade in figure. All in all it was the most unpleasant car buying experience I have ever had. Because of tax time etc I have not had time to go to another dealer to see just how much it will cost me to unload this p More
These guys are professional crooks. First of all, they are pushy. They badger you into making a deal on the spot and belittle you if you don't comply. If the salesman has no luck, the sales manager come are pushy. They badger you into making a deal on the spot and belittle you if you don't comply. If the salesman has no luck, the sales manager comes in after you. I wasted three hours in their presence only to find they weren't really interested in negotiating a fair price. They kept moving numbers around, but it all came to the same thing--exorbitant profits and high interest rates on their part. An honest, ethical dealer should make about 5-8% above the dealer's invoice. These guys wanted to make closer to 15% and pretended they could do no better. Adding insult to injury, they offered me a lousy trade-in value on my car, knowing full well they stood to gain at least four thousand dollars above their offer from reselling it. Take your business elsewhere. If the Honda Corporation wants to build positive, long-lasting relationships with their customers instead of letting them go away feeling angry and abused, they would shut this dealership down. More
I went to this dealer to check a price on a new civic because the website does not list any. I just wanted to see my trade-in options as far as for my financial situation. The sales guy was not listening because the website does not list any. I just wanted to see my trade-in options as far as for my financial situation. The sales guy was not listening and kept interrupting me and refused to give me my keys back when I told him I have to leave and do not have any more time to deal with this. He leaves with my keys and brings me back the sales manager. I'm glad the sales manager was somewhat nice, but not understandable. He thought of my visit to be a joke if i was not going to purchase a vehicle that day. I have a top of the line '07 Pilot and my payments are almost $600/mo. they were "offering" the cheapest civic (dx manual) for the same price monthly. I negotiated and they told me I couldn't have it for the price I wanted. Sure i still owe a good amount on my vehicle, but they didn't even give me options to work with (such as another car would be more inconsideration with my financial loan situation). Total hours spent in there.. 3 hours... what i got out of it.. nothing, and the knowledge that I will never go back to this dealership, especially if they're going to keep hiring unhelpful, pushy salesmen who refuses to give you your keys back when you ask for them. Side note: I used to work as a commissioned sales in retail and noticed that not being pushy and actually listening and trying hard to help the customers will forward the sale and/or they want to come back and tell their friends and family too. No one EVER wants to deal with BS. More
