This is the second time this dealer promises 1 thing on the phone just to get you through the door only to slap you with the market adjustment and unwanted insane protection packages . I was looking for a dealer that had a 2022 Civic in stock and was available to test drive. I found an ad online that stated Southmotors had a car in stock, so I called them to confirm. The person I spoke wit and was available to test drive. I found an ad online that stated Southmotors had a car in stock, so I called them to confirm. The person I spoke with confirmed they had a Hatchback and sedan version of the Civic available to test drive and they would send me a text with their address. When I got their text, I learned the dealer was an hour's drive away. So I asked them to confirm they had the civic and they confirmed that they did indeed have a car. When I arrived at the dealership, I was greeted by someone that didn't speak English. When I found an English-speaking salesperson, I was told that they didn't have any Civics to test drive, and their most recent one was sold a few days ago. Furthermore, I was told all the incoming stock for the next several weeks, is already purchased. I was lied to by Miguel Perez and this cost me a two-hour round trip, plus half a tank of gas. The salesperson I spoke with at the dealer, waived off my complaint advising, that their internet staff are always messing up the stock levels. He was both unconcerned and unapologetic for error. Honda is a good product, but stay all from this place if you plan to buy one. The sale department is horrendous with their games and terrible math, what a joke! Ran my credit on arrival, which I do not think is normal I am from New Jersey And I told him from the beginning I want everything done in New Jersey at the end when ready to sign everything I noticed it was I am from New Jersey And I told him from the beginning I want everything done in New Jersey at the end when ready to sign everything I noticed it was not New Jersey I told them ! They said to me they wanted an extra 2000 on top of my 2400 down payment to change everything so I told them no ! After coming back home went to my local honda the down was cheaper and my monthly was going to be cheaper but they could not do the deal because south motors Honda some how got me denied and now I have to wait 30-60 days to do a deal with my local Honda because it is a Conflict of interest I’ve been leasing with Honda over 6 years never had a late payment ! They Purposely got me denied so I wouldn’t b able to get a new lease any where else for 30-60 days on top!!!!!! Of running my credit as soon as I get there with out informing me about any numbers !!!! More
I called to see if I was able to fix the locks on my door, and a employee named victor told me it was covered by warranty. Later that day Victor called me and told me I was going to have to pay addition door, and a employee named victor told me it was covered by warranty. Later that day Victor called me and told me I was going to have to pay additional charges for the technician taking more time diagnosing my car. He said he changed my miles on my car to help me out but i never knew or agreed to do that. I never wanted to do that because I know that’s not the right thing to do. Victor tried to scam me for additional charges , changed my miles , and then on top of that the manager named Phil called me a snitch for telling him that his employee is changing miles on the customers vehicles. The time I had arrived I overheard victor telling the previous customer that he was changing his mileage on his vehicle as well. I tried to go about things the right way and I feel as if I was treated very unprofessional and I think something is going on here at this location that should really be investigated. I will also be Submitting a ticket to the Better Business Bureau . More
