Good service department, but their prices that they say "reflect the current market" are ridiculous. We saved $3,000 on a 2024 CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring by driving to Tomball to pick it up. His manager stepped in and was very cordial, but did not keep his word, big integrity issue. After we agreed in terms, I offered to complete a credit app he said not yet. We agreed to meet in the morning to sign contracts. I have the texts showing these conversations. After the dealer ship closed I received a phone call telling me that someone else sold the vehicle. Results are; wife upset, veteran given the obligatory "thanks for your service" now known to mean nothing to these folks, four embarrassed adult family members who were with me during the process, and proof that this dealer has no idea of the meaning of "my word is my bond". The salesperson who informed me that the car was sold again said that his manager (Larry) told him I should of left a deposit. I was never asked to do so, I thought the manager's word and a handshake was good enough. I was a dealership manager for 20 or so years and I see 5 possible customers list forever. Probably not a big deal as there are more customers than cars. More

He told me it would be done. When my my car was ready I paid for the service and was given a receipt which included a list of services performed. I was also told that the air filter was in good condition. When I got in the car I was looking over the multi point inspection form and all services listed were marked "checked and ok at this time" including all the fluids. I knew that I was out of windshield washer fluid so I tried to use it and it had not been filled even though it was checked off as having been done. I went back inside and told them and to their credit they immediately filled it.but that makes me wonder how many other items on that list were checked as performed and were in fact not done. When I got home I popped the hood to check the air filter myself and it was clearly in need of a new one. Also, because the engine compartment was so dusty my fingers left prints on the air box where there were none before. The dust and lack of fingerprints before I opened it proves that they were never anywhere near the air filter. I feel that they are dishonest and will not take my car there for service again. More

I am pleased to recommend Alex Lincoln to anyone shopping for a new vehicle. Alex is very knowledgeable about the full line of Honda vehicles and was able to answer all of my questions. Buying my new car was great, however the service department sucks, she let my hood slam down hard, they left oil by the door handle and on the door. And turned off my radio, changed my entire seat b department sucks, she let my hood slam down hard, they left oil by the door handle and on the door. And turned off my radio, changed my entire seat both back and seat all up and changed the air setting. I had just washed and detailed my car. They kept my car for more than 1.5 hours, this is its first oil change. I hope I don't find oil on the inside. I am very upset by this and the attitude of this service staff. Not one of my cars have ever been messed up from other dealerships this is a new one for me. You don't do this to somebody's new, old or used car, have some xxxx respect. More

Th Be prepared for the standard package: 1. One price online- different price in person 2. Installed Dealer Accessories " Due to Market Conditions". They add stuff to your car without you asking and BS about it. It usually sounds like "store policy, cant remove etc" What's funny is that I've had a sales rep tell me " we add tint, interior protection" in one sentence and literally following up with " all cars come with that" in the next. To translate: "we add extra stuff to the price and tell our customers that the car comes with that" The kicker- explanation for why they add accessories, which is 'due to the market conditions". So break this down: low inventory+ high demand= high prices. So what you're saying is that high market prices isnt enough and you decided to rip off people even more? Stay away! More

An employee told me they would be right with me as they passed by helping someone else. Then I stood there for 20 minutes while others that arrived later were checked in before me. I was asked to move my car over to the check in line beside the one I was in to move it to the front of that line. As I waited for another 10 minutes they took my car back without asking me what I wanted done or so I thought. Actually they just moved my car to the back of the line. At this point I went inside to talk to the service manager. The first person I came upon was the manager. When I explained what had happened and how I have had service issues here before, he became aggravated. My guess is because he was the one that passed me by several times. We went out to check my car in. Before he even asked me my name to check me in, he said, "Are we going to be able to make you happy today?" I said, "At this point, no." He then refused to service my vehicle. His whole demeanor and tone was aggressive. I said I drove here and waited all this time, I want my car serviced. He aggressively said over and over, "only if we can make you happy." I felt like a hostage at this point, either waste my whole day driving to another Honda dealership or let them service my car. I told him to change the oil I would be waiting inside. He did not check my car in and just went back to helping other customers. I stood at the service desk and attempted to call the dealership directly. I wanted to speak to the actual manager. There is none. They only have a sales manager and a service manager. The service manager, whom I have been dealing with then finally came back to me to try to check my car again. He told me he would help me if I would stop making a scene. I had never once raised my voice or made an aggressive gestures. He was projecting his behaviors onto me. Some people cannot handle criticism but they should not be the ones handling your customer service. Since I felt like I had little choice at this point, I agreed to go back out to check my car in. I just wanted to be done with this establishment. This is when he decided to take one more passive-aggressive dig at me when he sarcastically said, "Is the oil change all you want done, I want to be sure since I missed you the first time?" I said, "I want you to do the normal process where you change the oil and then notify me what may need to be done after inspection." He again blew up saying he refused to service my vehicle. I went back inside demanding to talk to someone else. I have never been treated so poorly by someone for simply pointing out where they failed at service. He took me to the sales manager, still not the person above him. The sales manager listened patiently and assured me everything would be taken care of correctly. I told him the other issues I've had here with rude service reps and that they always leave the inner part of the glovebox unlatched after checking the in cabin air filter. He again assured me he would address these issues with the proper people. This was too little too late for me to continue using them to service my Honda. I am on my 3rd new Honda, 2 Fits now an Accord. I lived in Alabama until the past two years and have always had great service there, no matter which Honda dealership. They were always friendly, and I never had service issues. Absolutely one of the reasons I have stuck with Honda. There has never been a visit to San Marcos Honda where there was not an issue. The service reps are often rude, it takes 3 hours to get an oil change no matter the time of day even with an appointment, and then you have issues with the service itself. I was already on the fence about taking my car to Austin to have it serviced instead of San Marcos. I will not be returning here for sure now. NOTE: I was writing this as they serviced my car. They just called to notify me it is done and tell me the total. They did not apologize again, nor did they offer me any discount for the time wasted and how I was treated. More
Another great experience with the service department. Monty was tops, as always. I can't say enough good things about this place. I've been going there since 2018. Highly recommended. this place sucks as far as taking care of their buyers! we had a problem with our 2017 Honda Civic EX condenser after 6 months of owning it. the condenser was beat up pretty bad! this was not caused by us. we had a problem with our 2017 Honda Civic EX condenser after 6 months of owning it. the condenser was beat up pretty bad! this was not caused by us. my wife drives this car (she drives very conservatively). we had to have it replaced & were told by San Marcos & Gunn Honda the warranty covered it. after they had the car for an hour (Gunn), the snakes told us it wasn't covered by the warranty! Tony there even told my wife it's hard to damage the condenser to that degree in 6 months. my wife needs it for work. it's 100º outside, so, we reluctantly let them put a new one in. the cost was ridiculous ($870). I priced it on the open market & discovered we were charged about twice what it should have cost us. Honda of San Marcos refused to help us in any way! Larry R. wouldn't even return our emails! apparently, Honda Civics & Accords (2015-2019) are prone to this problem. there are lawsuits against Honda because of this. they don't seem to care much! neither does Honda of San Marcos. needless to say, we'll never buy another vehicle from them, or Gunn Honda!
