Dog eat Dog My wife and I came in to buy a 2017 Honda EX-T coupe and test drove the car at Salem. We really liked the car and Chris said he would need our trade-i My wife and I came in to buy a 2017 Honda EX-T coupe and test drove the car at Salem. We really liked the car and Chris said he would need our trade-in car there to go further with the deal. It was lunchtime so Chris asked if we would like lunch, we declined He asked if there was anything we wanted to do while he had lunch, while also offering to skip his lunch, so we said we could come back after lunch and he could go eat the Chinese food they had there for lunch. We came back with our trade-in after lunch, about 3:00pm- (we drove to Dallas, picked up our car) and brought it to dealership. When we arrived we found that the car had been sold out from under us- nice move, right? We inquired if there was any other car of the same model and color available only to be told no, and if we wanted one we would have to order one now and wait for it to arrive from Mexico in April. We pursued the vehicle that was "unavailable" on our own and found one in Gresham which we were told was not available, and purchased it from Ron Tonkin Honda. Nice folks, they even assured us they would not sell the vehicle before we drove the hour and a half to look it over. Obviously it would have been too much trouble for Salem Honda to have helped us with this. In closing I would like to give a big thank you to Ron Tonkin in Gresham, along with Andy and Ron for their awesome customer service, and a big "thanks for nothing" from Honda of Salem for wasting our time. More
