Princeton Honda Dealership provides a perfect experience for my service needs. I would have given a 5/5 had they not let me drive out the car from their dealership with a Air Bag/SRS light ON; but on lettin for my service needs. I would have given a 5/5 had they not let me drive out the car from their dealership with a Air Bag/SRS light ON; but on letting them know what happened, they quickly turned around and fixed the problem. To err is human, but to fix it quickly and rightly is quality that tells everyone needs a second chance. More
Working with Bob was wonderful. He answered all our questions and walked us through the buying process. Jim Miller took the time to work through a number of buying scenarios to find the one that worked questions and walked us through the buying process. Good job all around. I appreciated the fact the dealership got the needed recall part in by Fed Ex. Plus I also appreciate the coupons you are kind enough to send. dealership got the needed recall part in by Fed Ex. Plus I also appreciate the coupons you are kind enough to send. More
Towed a 2001 Accord to this dealer for repair when the engine wouldn’t start up all of sudden. Dealer service rep recommended several parts replacement and also tune ups, which totaled about $1,300. Whe engine wouldn’t start up all of sudden. Dealer service rep recommended several parts replacement and also tune ups, which totaled about $1,300. When picked up the car and drove home, there were still problems--engine misfires and abnormal idling. Took the car back to the dealer the next morning and was told that I still need yet another part replaced which would cost me another $500. Called up Hamilton Honda for comparison, and learned that their part price was about $100 cheaper, by the way. Ended up taking the car to KPS Princeton Garage, where the same OEM Honda part price was almost half of what dealers were charging. More
We don't even know where to begin. What a horrible experience. By far the worst attempt to buy car we both have ever experienced. The salesperson Maxine, although was very helpful, she didn't have to experience. By far the worst attempt to buy car we both have ever experienced. The salesperson Maxine, although was very helpful, she didn't have to immediately down grade our trade saying it wasn't worth much "Before she even saw it". We then wanted to be honest with her and let her know we were looking at other makes such as the Scion FR-S and Focus ST. She then immediately down played those cars too as well as questioning their reliability. The appraisal process took about two hours. While waiting I looked up the trade in value of our Jeep from two sources. They told us our trade was in great shape, good I thought, however they offered us $4000 less than the book value. We were shocked and we wouldn't accept their offer. We told them the exact car we wanted. Once we saw the price, I was surprised to see how little they were willing to discount a left over car. I was told there was very little mark up on the car. So, I politely stated that I will pass on the offer. Then all of a sudden the manager gets involved and gave us a good price. Then we asked, about the value of our trade. The manager said he has it. However, it was still about $2500 less than what I had looked up. Tired and exhausted we accepted the trade offer. We went home and looked over the paper work. The price on the quote did not have the same MSRP or stock number that was on the window sticker. It was higher. I returned to the dealership and asked about it. I was told not to worry about the MSRP, just look at the discount I was getting. So, the manager corrected the paper work, however he also corrected the discount. "He lowered the discount he was giving us". We should have just said thank you and left. We decided to stay and asked if they could please at least give us $500 more for our trade. This way would only be about $2000 below NADA book value. The manager agreed. We then thought all was ok from then. Wow, we were about to step into major disaster. My wife drove down from work to sign all the papers with with me. The finance manager was great, with no issues at all. My wife left to go back to work. I waited while the dealer got our new car ready. From there things just fell apart. The salesperson wanted to know where the hard top and extra new pair of shocks were for our Jeep. Hard top? No, our vehicle was appraised with the soft top on, therefore, I am not willing to give you the hard top for free. Besides, I am already getting about $2000 LESS than NADA trade in value. Why would I wan to give the dealer a free hard top that cost us over $2000? Plus they wanted free set of shocks. Apparently, while my wife was talking about her Jeep to someone, she so also mentioned that she has a hard top for her Jeep and a new set of shocks. It was just a casual talk. She had no intention to give away her hardtop. The hardtop was and extra purchase that we made when we bought her Jeep. We also bought new shocks that we never installed due to time. We were just going to return the shocks. Because my wife mentioned that she had a hard top and shocks the dealer assumed that we were throwing it in. After agreeing to accept $2000 below book value on our trade, why would we ever want to agree to give Princeton Honda something for free. Never once did my wife mention that she was giving the dealer a free hard top or a free set of shocks. They simply assumed it. The hard top and shocks were never once written down on any document as being part of our trade. So, the manager Tom stepped out of his office, raised his voice at me and said if I don’t give them the hardtop and shocks the deal was off. How unprofessional. Then I asked the salesperson if they really wanted to do this because you know word of mouth can spread like wild fire. The salesperson went into the office and called Tom again. Tom said, “let’s just separate” What ever that meant, I said ok. He asked for my credit card and gave me a refund on my down payment. He then took all my paperwork and gave it to the finance manager and voided everything. This dealer completely wasted hours and hours of our time. They tried and succeeded in low balling us on a trade by over $2000. They insulted me, then demanded something that they were not entitled to. My wife had no intention in giving the dealer a free hard top especially after they tried to offer us $4000 less trade in book value. She only stated that she had one. She never at anytime told the dealer that our trade-in would include a hard top and shocks. After all, the dealer appraised our Jeep with only the soft top, and Not the hard top. If the dealer wanted the hardtop as part of the trade, they should have put it in writing and we would have turned it down for the $2000 less than trade-in book value that we got for our Jeep. There is some good news about this, we went to another dealer that same day and we got the exact deal without having to include the hardtop. The deal went smooth. Princeton Honda should be ashamed in the way they treated a returning customer. More
I've been going to this dealership since it was Z&W Honda for service on my '92 Accord wagon (now with 202,000 miles) and it's always been good. But this time around I was especially impressed with the Honda for service on my '92 Accord wagon (now with 202,000 miles) and it's always been good. But this time around I was especially impressed with the knowledge and highest level of customer care and courtesy ever extended to my by any dealership by Ed Chrebet. Given the age of this vehicle and the work it required my bill was just under $3000.00 but it was worth it. Ed pretty much nailed what to expect before I committed to the service. And, some parts that were thought to be unavailable for the front was found by Ed in a broadcast message to other dealerships. Given that the work on my car was already in progress at the time I am going back to finish it up. More
My experience at Princeton Honda was pleasant. Our salesperson, Richard Santos took excellent care of us. Not only do they verbally claim to have a motto and culture which emphasizes customer service, salesperson, Richard Santos took excellent care of us. Not only do they verbally claim to have a motto and culture which emphasizes customer service, it seems as if they actually found employees who buy into that. Richard understood our price-range, both in terms of monthly payments as well as total overall cost. You can see how time was a factor in our decision. While we had time constraints of our own, it never felt as if Richard was rushing us. He walked through what a repair or oil-change service would be like. Apparently we get free oil & filter changes and car washes for the life of the car, too. I will definitely refer them to my friends. More
Jeff S. has been great!! When I walked into Princeton Jeff S. has been great!! When I walked into Princeton Honda, I was at my wit's end trying to get service for my Civic Hybrid. Jeff was lucky enough Jeff S. has been great!! When I walked into Princeton Honda, I was at my wit's end trying to get service for my Civic Hybrid. Jeff was lucky enough to have the desk closest to the door, so he got an earful. First thing I said to him was "Please help me stop regretting having bought a Honda!" Since I purchased my 2010 Civic, getting service from my dealership (Sloane Honda in NE Phila) has been no less than a nightmare. Between their impersonal service, inconvenient hours and the overwhelming attitude of indifference, I was finally done with them. When I stopped at Sloane after my engine light came on, they actually refused to look at it because it was 4:50pm and their IMA tech was leaving at 5!! Called another dealership close to home and they said they could look at it in 3 weeks! 3 weeks driving 90 miles a day with my engine light on?!?! No thanks! So, after hearing good things about Princeton Honda I decided to go for it. I was a little weary since it's 45 miles from home, but I wandered in anyway, complained to Jeff for a while, and he showed me around and scheduled me for service right away. He's been great ever since. With the nature of my service requiring multiple visits, interrupted by a hurricane, power outages and me being in and out of town, Jeff has been super patient, super sweet and truly the nicest person I have dealt with since I bought my Honda. So far, everyone I have encountered at Princeton Honda has been really nice and welcoming (their great sense of humor helps as well). It's so nice being able to walk into the service area and be treated like they've known me for years! Having been spoiled rotten by the mechanic and service rep who took care of my last two cars, I never thought I would find that again, but I have!! YAY! More
