From the moment I called the dealer that morning until I drove away with car on Monday evening I was very happy that I chose Princeton Honda. We were initially undecided between the Honda Pilot and Nissa drove away with car on Monday evening I was very happy that I chose Princeton Honda. We were initially undecided between the Honda Pilot and Nissan Pathfinder. It was CHristopher Wells' no nonsense, friendly, knowledgable approach that made our decision final. We didn't have to haggle over price, and his manager gave us respectable amount for our trade in. Mr. Wells got me through the paperwork super easy and quickly. By Monday evening, the car was detailed, and ready for pick up--including having my plates transferred. I never felt pressured and Mr. Wells was genuninely interested in providing me with the best customer service. I would highly recommend Princeton Honda to anyone looking for a friendly, knowledgeable sales team and I personally recommend Christopher Wells as your sales person! Sara Christopher Yardley PA More
I did not use this dealer for service. I received a letter from the Honda Automobile Division notifying 2007, 2008 and 2009 Odyssey owners that there is a potential problem with the transmission. This letter from the Honda Automobile Division notifying 2007, 2008 and 2009 Odyssey owners that there is a potential problem with the transmission. This letter asked that the owners contact any authorized Honda dealer to reprogram the automatic transmission software free of charge. I called to schedule my first old change for my 2009 Odyssey and explained to the service department of the letter from Honda. I service department states that the problem does not apply to my vehicle and they will only do the old change. They even check the Honda database with my VIN number and said my vehicle was not listed for this repair and that the Honda Automobile Division sent the letter to me in error. I called the number provided in the letter ( 1-800-999-1009) and according to the Honda Automobile Division, my vehicle is in the database. A few months ago, I've used VIP Honda in North Plainfield for warranty work and would not recommend them as well. I found that VIP Honda and Honda of Princeton have something in common. They do not want to deal with warranty work from Honda owners who did not buy the vehicle from them. Beware of dealers who asked "Did you buy this vehicle from us?". Honda Automobile recommened Open Road Honda of Edison so, I contacted their service department for an oil change and the transmission work. They acknowledged the letter right away and scheduled my appointment for the oil change and warranty work with no problem (never asked the "Did you buy this vehicle from us" question). I will be at the service department in 2 days and write a review about my experience with Open Road Honda. Let's hope for the best. Wish me luck. More
I purchased a new Civic using the internet contact, Chris Wells. Our email exchanges were timely and straightforward, and follow-up on-site was similar. Overall price was reasonable given the current econo Wells. Our email exchanges were timely and straightforward, and follow-up on-site was similar. Overall price was reasonable given the current economy. Paperwork went smoothly, with no late-breaking offers of undercoating etc. to muck up the process. I recommend Chris and the internet-based purchase process with Honda of Princeton. More
I made the mistake of going to this dealership being loyal as they are my local dealers. I had a nice sales person I test drove with, but had to work this guy who calls himself as short-headed guy. I as loyal as they are my local dealers. I had a nice sales person I test drove with, but had to work this guy who calls himself as short-headed guy. I asked him if they had the car in the color with the option I want, he blindly said we have all the cars in all colors and to stop by any time. Although I know it was a lie, I went to the dealership just to wait more than 1 hour after our scheduled appointment while he was servicing another client. Then he decided to come to us, but not interested in selling. First of all, they didn't have the car we wanted. I checked the inventotry before going to the dealership. He offered a price and I told him about the offers I had from others. He went back to the back rooms and come back with a price more than his initial offer. I pointed out this to him. He abruptly said thanks for stopping by. If you are looking for a new car, I would advise to only use them for test drive if this dealership is your local dealer and purchase the car some other hassle free dealers. You will save yourself a lot of headache. More
We rated great because we were very happy with the service overall. We had leased an Odyssey before and turned it in. We wanted to take our time and look for another van or downsize to a sedan. We m service overall. We had leased an Odyssey before and turned it in. We wanted to take our time and look for another van or downsize to a sedan. We met with Chris Wells. He was very friendly and listened to everything we had to say. He never once pressured us in making a decision. He listened and let us go at our own speed. We took a few weeks to look around at other dealers and online. Once we decided to go with a sedan and not a van, we test drove an accord and loved it. While looking around at other places, we dealt with other sales people and some were just as nice, but others were too much into pressuring you to make a decision. We felt that Chris was a good listener and explained all the options and did not like to play any games. We would recommend Chris to anyone. He was a pleasure to deal with. More
This is a great dealership and Andrey is a great sales person. I came in and he greeted me warmly. I told him what car I was looking for and he let me take it out on a test drive by myself with no hassl person. I came in and he greeted me warmly. I told him what car I was looking for and he let me take it out on a test drive by myself with no hassle. After I came back we picked out the right color and we negotiated a fair deal. I am a busy person and have no time to shop and play games. I was straight up with him and Andrey did right by me. He helped me pick out the right vehicle and he handled most of the financing part of the deal himself. We had a lot of things in common and even grew up in the same area. All I can say is that Andrey Kostenko is a huge asset to Honda of Princeton. I look forward to sending my friends and family to him as well as buying more vehicles from him. More
I bought a Fit in May at this dealership. Sale went well, was promised a free car wash with any service performed at the dealership.. I needed an oil change in November , so I took it back to the dealer, I f was promised a free car wash with any service performed at the dealership.. I needed an oil change in November , so I took it back to the dealer, I figured , get the car washed, oil and filter changed, for $ 30. 00 some bucks, works for me ! I went to the express oil and filter change at the dealership on Nov. 11 for the service. I marked the oil filter with a marker before I left home. I went to the dealership, they were prompt with their service, and the car was " finished" in 45 minutes. After paying for the service, I asked them why the car wasn't washed.. They said they have no car wash service...I raised havoc, but ended up wiyh a free wash from the place next door. ( not advised ) . I went to my car, popped the hood and looked at the oil filter and it still had the same markings as when I came for the service. I went nuts.. The manager that was behind the counter was brought out to take a look, and then went to look for the "old" filter. Needless to say, he never found it. IT WAS STILL ON MY ENGINE ! Worst part is I was charged $ 14. 75 for an oil filter! After a confrontation, I did get a new oil filtr put on. BEWARE OF ANY SERVICES THAT ARE, HAVE BEEN DONE Joe Pasun (609)213-4286 More
We were in the market for an 08 CR-V AWD EX and requested internet quotes from several area dealers. Upon calling Princeton Honda to see if they would meet/beat our lowest offer, I was connected with Chris internet quotes from several area dealers. Upon calling Princeton Honda to see if they would meet/beat our lowest offer, I was connected with Chris Wells. From our first conversation, Chris was friendly and professional and assured me that they were interested in seeing what they could do for me. With no haggling, he confirmed that they could beat the other price. It was confirmed with the sales manager, we discussed our preferred color and the offer was put in writing and emailed to me within a few hours. We made arrangements to visit the showroom that night and take the car for a test ride. Even though we made a late appointment which was close to the dealer's closing time, we were assured that they would work with us until we were satisfied and our deal was complete Upon our arrival at the showroom, the car (in the color we had hoped) was up front waiting for us with dealer plates in the window, ready for our test drive. When we returned, we were pleased to discover that our internet deal was honored with absolutely no hassle and there were no hidden surprises or fees. We set our terms, agreed upon our trade in and made arrangements to take delivery in 2 days. Chris assured us that he was available by phone if we had any questions at all regarding the car. When we arrived to take delivery, the visit was just as smooth. While we waited for the finance manager, all the staff at Princeton Honda, but especially Chris Wells were very friendly to us and to our 3-year old son. The meeting with Tia, the finance manager, was quick and easy and she was very friendly as well. We took delivery of the car and are extremely happy with everything. Chris even made sure a request regarding our preference with a specific part of the detailing was taken care of. It was a minor request, but I was pleased to see that he followed through as he said he would. Bottom line is that I had never purchased a car using the internet and I was worried that there would be unwelcome surprises when we got to the showroom or when we finally took delivery. I am happy to say that the entire transaction was quick, easy honest and painless. Everyone we dealt with at Princeton Honda, especially Chris Wells, was an absolute pleasure to work with. I've already recommended the dealership, and Chris specifically, to friends of ours who are in the market for an Odyssey. When it's time for our next car, we'll absolutely go back. More
I've been going to Princeton Honda for a year with no issues. I called about three weeks back to check if they provided detailing services and I was told they did detail cars. I was transferred to "Jose" issues. I called about three weeks back to check if they provided detailing services and I was told they did detail cars. I was transferred to "Jose", who gave me an appointment. I left my car for a couple of hours and when I came back to pick it up, the front passenger side panel was spray painted and the paint completely messed up. Jose told me, it was how the car was left to him. I went round to the service desk and was told that the detailing service was "contracted" to Honda and not part of the dealership. This was Chris speaking and he was really really standoffish. Finally, after 4 more visits over two weeks and 10 phone calls, Chris's supervisor, Frank, agreed to get the panel repainted. I left my car with them, was told the painting would get delayed and finally when I went to pick it up, the panel had a completely different color. Frank had conveniently 'left' and none of the other employees including Chris would even acknowledge that my car was not fixed. They wouldnt even come out to have a look at it. Frustrated, I finally called the cops who took a report right on the honda princeton grounds. I'm planing to file charges. but never again am i visiting honda princeton again. BTW, the email link to file complaints on their website, simply doesnt work!! Bah! More
