OLATHE HONDA: Morons or Rip Off Artists? You Decide! My wife took our 2013 Honda Pilot in for a tire rotation today. Pretty soon she called me and said they were balancing the tires and performing an al My wife took our 2013 Honda Pilot in for a tire rotation today. Pretty soon she called me and said they were balancing the tires and performing an alignment too - which was ok. HOWEVER, they were also trying to sell her transmission fluid replacement, rear differential drain and fill, and brake line drain and fill. We told them that none of these items were coming up on our dash board display. (They had told us on a few previous occasions this would be the case and we just needed to look up the codes in the operator's manual.) Then Mark told us that every time we or they changed oil and reset the computer on the dash board, it was resetting ALL the maintenance items not just oil!!! This was BS. What good is tracking all those other maintenance items if they get reset every time you change oil? We didn't buy any of those other maintenance items BUT when my wife got home, we noticed that some moron at the dealership had gone in and reset the oil tracker back to 100% and hence ALL the maintenance trackers...and they didn't even change the oil! I couldn't believe it!! DO NOT GO TO OLATHE HONDA!! More

I took a chance and contacted Honda of Olathe (30 minutes away vs.5 minutes I was looking at local Honda dealership and wasn't finding what I wanted. But what can I say, from start to finish, their service was fantastic. My salesman was Augustine Lee, aka "Auggie," and he helped me to find the right car for me and made me feel valuable. I don't really know anything about cars and Auggie was knowledgeable about cars and he wasn't so rushed to sell a car. He was honest about some wear and tears about used cars he showed me and he was just trying to help me find a right car for me instead of just trying to sell a car for his own record. Everything was ready for us and our over the phone deal was solidified! If you happen to go to Honda of Olathe, ask for Auggie Lee! He is the best! More
