STEER CLEAR!! I purchased my first new car from Honda of Ocala in March of this year. This purpose behind purchasing new and from this dealership was based on heari I purchased my first new car from Honda of Ocala in March of this year. This purpose behind purchasing new and from this dealership was based on hearing how so many others had been treated so well. I unfortunately was not one of those people. The entire process has been a total nightmare and I would not in good faith, recommend this dealership to any friends or family. Approximately two weeks after purchasing my 2015 Accord V6 Touring, I noticed "spiderwebs" in the clear coat. I contacted the service department immediately and was put into a rental while the vehicle was sent to the body shop for what I was told to be a simple polish job on the body. I picked the car up two days later and it was worse than it was when I first dropped it off! The body shop had actually taken the paint down to metal at almost twenty spots on the vehicle! So it was dropped back off at the dealership yet again. I was called to come and retrieve the vehicle about a week later, in which a horrific attempt to fill the damage was blatantly obvious almost immediately. I was forced to contact Honda Corporate who conducted their own investigation. Their conclusion was that the condition was caused by incorrect vehicle care by the dealership, not a defective Honda product.This put me back at square one with Honda of Ocala. I had a sit down meeting with a supervisor of the Morgan Auto Group, the owner of the body shop who was causing the damage, as well as the service manager. All who were telling me that what I was seeing on my vehicle was "refractions" in the paint. I do not feel that they understand what a true refraction is, a color change. These are painfully obvious scratches in the vehicles finish! They only offered to have the car clay bar'd and waxed, which does not fix bad I had conducted my own research by taking the vehicle to three other body shops that are local, and they all advised me the same: the car needs to be repainted and those are not refractions. They are scratches in the clear coat. I was advised by Honda Corporate that it was up to the dealership to correct the issues. To which I was told by service that they were willing to repaint only two spots in which the paint damage was very obvious. As for the way the clear coat looked, Honda of Ocala told me that they were not going to do anything! (This all happened with the vehicle only having about 500 miles on it, and about three to four months worth of back and forth. All for me to end up with a car that needs to be repainted and finished properly.) Please steer clear of this dealership!! Thank you! More
Warranty Service Recently my wife and I experienced a battery problem with our 2013 CRV. Unfortunately this occurred on a Friday night at a motel in Orlando. Since I had to be back the next morning we called AAA which promptly sent a serviceman to jump our car. At this point we found out the battery would not take a charge but that the charging system in our CRV was functioning perfectly We purchased a battery from AAA and returned to our home in Marion County the following morning. On Monday my wife contacted HOO Assistant Service Manager who immediately and unquestioningly applied to Honda for reimbursement. We received payment in full today. We feel the situation was handled with utmost professionalism and courtesy. We highly recommend this dealer and their service department. More
Service Department takes advantage of Senior Citizen I sent my mother in to Honda of Ocala Service department to get here tires rotated on her 2008 Accord. She had a coupon to have the work done for $10.00. Instead they give here an oil change. Her oil had just been changed a week prior with synthetic oil. They change here oil with conventional oil and send her on her way. I reviewed her bill noticing that they did an oil change and did not rotate her tires. More

They told me I needed additional work: timing belt, front end bushings, valve cover gasket,etc. at a cost of about one thousand dollars. I do my own work and the timing belt and valve cover gasket were replaced in last 3 years and were fine. After 15000o miles on car the front-end bushings have wear bout enough enough to need replacement, considering I likely will not own the car for along time. I naturally declined their con. If I had much less experience I might have fallen for this con. Buyer beware. More

I have gone to this service department twice, both times because of a recall letter I received. They offer you "complimentary" vehicle checks. My first mistake was to accept this. Both times I went in for a "free" service because of a recall, I wound up spending lots of money, and would be a lot more if I did everything they said to do. But my main complaint is that they didn't do what they said they did. I barely sat down when a lady came and took me to the side and wanted to give me top dollar for my used vehicle as they were in need of my model. I said no, but was taken to the manager anyway. Sat down in his office, waited for him to get off the phone, and his first words were "what kind of vehicle are you interested in" I told him I wasn't and didn't even know why I was in his office. He shook my hand and I left. After some time, the service person I was working with came out and gave me the list of things that absolutely needed to be fixed. Cost was over $1,000. I called my brother in law mechanic, and he came and looked at everything they said, and agreed that I only needed front brakes, not all these fluid flushes, etc. The service employee told me my airbag had already been replaced when I asked her and the oil change. I waited for them to replace my brakes. My brother in law was standing there watching them work (they don't allow you inside for insurance purposes) but he stood outside, in the parking lot. He watched them do something with my airbag, and this was AFTER they told me it had been already replaced. When they said it was ready to go, my b-i-l asked if they had washed it (complimentary), the manager ran his finger down the car and said no, then took it back to have it done.. When I got in, I checked to see if the oil gauge had been reset, it had not, so I asked if they changed the oil. My b-i-l said that the oil had not been changed. So my confidence in this dealer, once again, is zero. I just told them to give me my money back on the oil change, which he gladly did. I would never have gone back to this dealer if it wasn't in the news about how dangerous these airbags were and I needed to have it replaced, which I'm not even sure was done. I would never deal with Honda of Ocala again. They put the fear of God in you if you don't get all these extra things done, which apparently are not necessary. I should have known not to go there, but as I said, I had no choice because of the airbag. My advice to you is, if you go for a specific thing, do NOT let them do anything complimentary to your vehicle. It will cost you dearly for unnecessary work that they might not even do. More

When the repairs exceeded the value of the car, I knew it might be time for a change. I did plenty of research online, but wanted to review all of my options. Jan was beyond professional, showed me all that Honda had to offer. He not only gave me the car that I wanted but (through much deliberation and time ), gave it to me at the price I was willing to pay. The whole process took a couple of weeks, the day I decided to buy, He came in on his day off and stayed with me through the entire process (start to finish). As you know it's a long process. I am beyond satisfied with his service and willingness to help. Jan is a reason why I will refer people to buy from Honda. Keep up the good work. More

Unbelievable Service Mike Lehman helped us purchase a 2014 Honda Odyssey from Honda of Ocala in September 2013. At the time he provided incredible service going above and beyond what was expected, even giving us his cell phone number. He encouraged us to call him anytime if we had a question or problem. Seven months later, I misplaced my keys and was unable to unlock my van. I called his cell phone after the service department was closed for the night to simply ask him a question about unlocking it. He and his wife drove to where I was stranded and was arranging for someone from the service department to meet us to help unlock my van. I located my keys as he was arriving and was terribly embarrassed that he had gone to so much trouble. He (and his wife) were incredible. They never made me feel like I had inconvenienced them or interrupted their evening. He again encouraged me to call whenever I had a problem and told me to always ask for him specifically when calling the dealership. I am so impressed by his commitment to his customers and their satisfaction! We love our Honda van but we really love the personal service Mike provides.
