I was quickly confronted with a smile,by an associate by the name of Marianne when she saw me waiting for longer than a moment or so for the customer servicedepartment. She assertivly asked question about the name of Marianne when she saw me waiting for longer than a moment or so for the customer servicedepartment. She assertivly asked question about myself and how she could help me and make my problem with honda a solution. She referred me to a gentelman I belive by the name of chris (not 100% on his name) who swiftly looked my name up and got my car fixed with a smile. The time it took for my car was adquet to what I was quoted which made my experience better. Thank you to Honda and there staff. More
I am giving this review because this dealership is horrible when it comes to used car sales. I purchased a "certified" used car that was represented as in excellent running condition. There were sev horrible when it comes to used car sales. I purchased a "certified" used car that was represented as in excellent running condition. There were several cracks in the windshield and I was told they would be repaired as they were a safety issue. I took the vehicle and was never called back on the windshield. Two months later I finally had a day off and took the vehicle back for the repair. I was told it was too late and I had to claim it on my insurance. After one hour of incredibly bad service I was told the dealership would honor the original agreement and the windshield would be repaired. I left my vehicle at the dealership and also told them that the Mitsubishi was running badly. Since it still had many miles left on the warranty I was told it would be checked out thoroughly. One week later I picked up the vehicle and it still was running badly. I questioned the service department and they assured me nothing was wrong and told me to drive the vehicle. I was getting feed at the feed store and the guy who loaded my feed told me that there was something seriously wrong with the vehicle and to have the oil checked. I did not use the vehicle for two weeks until I had time to take it to the local lube shop. I brought the vehicle in and the mechanic immediately asked how long it was running this rough. I told him the story and he checked the oil only to find there was not enough in the engine, hence creating the loud noise I had been hearing since it was at Honda. He told me that without sufficient oil damage was likely done to the engine and even though I had changed the oil the engine could seize. He told me to drive it and if there was any noise similar to what it sounded like or a burning smell, that it would be a bad sign. Two weeks later a burning smell eminated from the vehicle. I brought the vehicle back to Honda and told them I wanted a refund and left the vehicle there. They did not contact me and when I went back, the used car manager told me it was my fault for not mainting the vehicle properly. Honda of Ocala is willing to trade in this vehicle but will have to appraise it and give me an estimate of how much it is now worth. More
Outstanding..Superb..exceptional can easily describe Joe Outstanding..Superb..exceptional can easily describe Joe Szabo & the service he rendered to us as customers.Joe is sincere, patient, thorough, knowle Outstanding..Superb..exceptional can easily describe Joe Szabo & the service he rendered to us as customers.Joe is sincere, patient, thorough, knowledgable, informative, considerate, caring & sensitive to your needs as a customer. He's willing to be helpful beyond his responsibilities as a salesman. He cares about "you" & is genuinely thoughtful- a "nice" guy & a "caring" human being.Joe's a guy you can easily talk to.He spends as much time as "you need" to find the right car that you want.Joe brought 2 cars to the showroom area so I didn't have to walk too far, as I had had surgery a few weeks ago. He took us for a ride in both cars and was very patient as we tried to decide between a Sedan or a CRV. Then we had to decide on color. Joe has the patience of a saint. When we had finally decided on what car we wanted, we started the paper work only to realize that I didn't have my driver's license. After some thought, I realized that perhaps my license & medical insurance cards might not have been returned to me a few weeks ealrier when I had surgery at Ocala Regional Hospital. The hospital is about a mile from Ocala Honda. Before I knew it, Joe had the phone number to the hospital & gave me the phone to call & make inquiry about my cards & license. He also offered to get them on Monday when the hospital would be able to contact the staff member who had handled my pre-op admission. He also offerd to pick up the cards if the hospital had them,& he would bring them to my home since it turns out he doesn't live very far from us. Joe really goes the extra mile for you as a person...because he's a compassionate man with a great deal of integrity. With all the paper work finally done & the license finally found..(a long story in itself) Joe spent a great deal of time explaining all the features of the car & made sure we understood how to use them..he even programmed our cell phones to a new "bluetooth" feature in our car. Joe wants to make sure you know all there is to know about your car & how to best enjoy using your new vehicle. Our experience purchasing our second car at Ocala Honda...was nothing less than "exceptional". We can't thank Joe enough for making us feel like we were more than just customers--more like "family". THANKS JOE !!!!! We would definitely recommend that you ask for Joe Szabo when you visit Ocala Honda. May we addd that their service department over the last 4 years has given us excellent service on the car we just traded in. With that said...we look forward to enjoying our new car and our relationship with Honda of Ocala and especially Joe Szabo. More
My Mom, who lives in Ocala, needed a new car. She needed help but I live over 1,000 miles away in Chicago. My mom was not comfortable buying the car by herself, especially since my dad just passed away few help but I live over 1,000 miles away in Chicago. My mom was not comfortable buying the car by herself, especially since my dad just passed away few weeks prior and she wasn't quite herself. I was put in touch with Joe Szabo through a dealership in Chicago as Ii considered having a car shipped to her. We were able to make a deal over the phone and get most of the paperwork ready so my Mom would not have to go through it herself. Though it would have to be finalized by her in person. When my mom arrived at Honda of Ocala, Joe personally dealt with my Mom. Noticing she was nervous he made every effort to make her at ease. He took the time to show her all the features of her new Honda Fit and walked her through the rest of the paperwork. The whole process took less than 2 hours including appraisal of her trade-in for which Joe called me to make sure my Mom was comfortable with that part of the deal. I'm sure I'm not the only person with aging parents living in Ocala. I would recommend the dealership and Joe Szabo to anyone in and out of Ocala. Their customer service was miles over and above what was expected and what I have ever experienced when buying a car. More

When I met Ovi by visiting the dealership, I was impressed with his level of service and professionalism. But through the process, his persistence (Even when asked not to pester me) became excessiv impressed with his level of service and professionalism. But through the process, his persistence (Even when asked not to pester me) became excessive. When visiting the showroom a second time to confirm the vehicle and pricing/financing, I asked to see Ovi, but when he was not available, Harry Vasquez jumped into the game. He was WORSE than Ovi with phone calls, emails, and a general nuisance feeling of a stereotypical car salesman. When it came down to negotiating a price, Ovi asked "Let's make a deal" and when a offer was presented, his counter offer was higher than the first offer! Ridiculous! When asked to confirm the verbal statements via email, the request went unanswered for 2 days. During that time I purchased a car elsewhere. When I sent out emails to the other salesman to thank them for their time and alert them that I have made a purchase elsewhere, Ovi replied " Good for you. I hope someday you are going to experience the same disappointment that I experienced this morning." I can give most people the benefit of the doubt and read into this as "My dog died this AM" or something similar, but when I read again, it sounds like a sore loser! I would never intentionally visit this dealer again due to the actions of these two salesmen who are not professional in the least definition of the term. Years ago Ocala car dealers had the reputation of being less than honest and having an overall lack of integrity. It seems they have not matured too much over the years. More
