Went to buy new car 6-5-12 from Honda of Ocala FL. Noticed that dealership had inflated price by almost 6000.00 dollars. Their answer is selling so fast that they have surcharge. Economy is so great that they believe the consumer will pay what amounts to a 20% increase car sticker just shy of 30,000. When they could not make a deal and I was going to check another dealer they berated the dealer in a very lod voice in middle of showroom. The other delaer was going to "jerk" me off, they were not the bestand they were going to lie etc. I will not buy or recommend honda of ocala because of their tactics. I would never say anything bad about someone and berate them to make a point. This only makes the dealership look smalland suspect. The other dealership was not adding anything to sticker more of an honest dealer. More

Before we set out to purchase a new vehicle, my husband and I had a price in mind that we wanted to spend (probably quite unreasonably low). Once we researched the different makes that would suit our need and I had a price in mind that we wanted to spend (probably quite unreasonably low). Once we researched the different makes that would suit our needs, we decided on a Honda CR-V EX-L. (I especially wanted the rear view camera.) Because we were willing to drive quite a distance to obtain the best possible price, I initially contacted all Honda dealers within a wide radius of our home by e-mail. Troy Vandal from Honda of Ocala was willing to work with us this way and was very helpful. Troy and his manager Bill Johnson did all they could to get us the vehicle we wanted at a price close to what we wanted to pay. We had done a lot of shopping around, and I honestly feel that we couldn't have gotten it for a nickel less anywhere else. We couldn't believe how nice everyone was at the dealership. Troy and Harry Vasquez made sure that the car was in perfect condition and that we were confident that we understood all of its features before we drove off the lot. Although we're going to have to drive a little farther, we are definitely going to be coming to Honda of Ocala for service and maintenance on our new CRV. We are very, very happy with our car and equally happy with Honda of Ocala. We would definitely recommend them. More

I knew exactly what I wanted and called prior to traveling 50 minutes. Harry knew what I would pay and that I was not interested in spending 1/2 a day there, I wanted to purchase that car that eveni traveling 50 minutes. We had a verbal agreement.I agreed to make the drive and was told they would have me out of there in no time.Once I arrived I was introduced to Harry and another salesman. They wanted me to drive the car.I had already done my homework which included doing a test drive elsewhere.I declined and told Harry I wanted to be sure he was going to honor our deal. Once we started going over the numbers he added a $699.00 dealer prep fee, saying that "all dealers charge this". I told him I would split the cost and pay $350. He reluctantly took this to "his manager" who said he would not agree. We also made an agreement on a trade in which they were going to honor. Harry said to me "your going to let this deal fall through over $350? I said I sure am and I left.I sure wish I would have done more research on this dealership prior to calling and making the drive. Today we sent an email to Ocean Honda in Port Richey Florida and did a deal with 4 calls back and forth. We arrived, they honored what we spoke about over the phone and even did one better. They added in 2 times at no cost that I wanted.Honest and delightful guys to deal with. The very best experience I have ever had dealing with a car dealer! Oh and by the way, Ocean Honda DOES NOT charge any dealer fees. More

David Knight was the sales person who helped her and she did buy a car that day fron Honda of Ocala. I was there during 98% of the time she was looking ,talking,asking and trying to find the righr car. David was able to help her find a car that worked for she and her two,[2] sons. The next day,I was on my way to Citrus county to look at some Nissans, but stoped in to look at new Hondas and I asked for David Knight since I knew he was very upfront with the woman the day before. like most folks, I would have loved to been able to buy an Accord,but I felt the payments would be to much for me to pay and would stretch my cash flow too much. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A SPORT FIT? David and I took one for a drive,he answered about 3,600 of my questions and with help from the folks in finance , I was able to purchase the Honda sport Fit. I am getting 34.2 M.P.G. , runs about 2500 R.P.M.'s at 65 MPH, and there are only two[2] ways I part with this car. Either somebody steals it, or GOD calls me home. Many thanks to both David Knight, the guys in finance, the service dept. and the upper management for operating a good,fair and honest dealership, something we do NOT find with all businesses.
