Best dealership on the west coast I’ve never had a better experience at any car dealership that I’ve ever been to. I worked with Con the sales manager to help purchase a brand new Honda Accord sport and he took such good care of me I felt like I was family. Hondawarranty plans just want you $$$$, they don't service We bought our new Accord and spend $2000. for so called "5 YEAR UNLIMITED SERVICEWARRENTY" then now we are told: The $2000 was only good for 5 time We bought our new Accord and spend $2000. for so called "5 YEAR UNLIMITED SERVICEWARRENTY" then now we are told: The $2000 was only good for 5 times of free oil change (and only can be used in Oakland deal service center. Honda's package is a cheating plan. You don't want to become another Victim like us! Don't be fooled by their well printed brochures! We were sent away "Because it is not reaching 5000 miles yet (almost, 4000+ miles and it is for saving your money," Only until now we leaned the $2000 bought was a 5 times oil change! But We were told "unlimited oil change and maintenance service within 5 year/ 100,000 miles. We were also have to $270...last time for service... We will never buy/use Honda dealer package. Honda dealer warranty plans just want you $$$$, they don't really want to service your car after it! They want you money only! ;(( More

Leaking 2015 Honda fit I purchased a brand new Honda Fit 2015 in Feburary 2015. January 2016 after a few rains my driver side passenger carpet was soaked. I went to Honda of I purchased a brand new Honda Fit 2015 in Feburary 2015. January 2016 after a few rains my driver side passenger carpet was soaked. I went to Honda of Oakland and with lots of headaches on my end I got the door resealed and carpet replaced due to manufacture defect. Then after some rains January 2017 I have again rain in the same spot have soaked carpet, however this time I see the source as a stream of water coming from the front driver side door. They proceed to indicate the reason for the water was due to the sunshades however lots of honda fits leak due to door panel issues. They had resealed the door without replicating the leak I saw so now they cannot conclude that the leak is from a manufacture defect. I did not approve of these repairs without proof that the leak was causing the issue. They are refusing to replace the carpet which now has mildew and mold. More

Just leased a new car I looked at several Honda dealerships and ended up doing business with Honda of Oakland because I was treated well and I got the best price on leasing I looked at several Honda dealerships and ended up doing business with Honda of Oakland because I was treated well and I got the best price on leasing my car. I was shown what I asked to see instead of being pushed into a more expensive car. I expected attempts to sell me more than I was asking for, but I felt respected when I said I knew what I wanted. I walked away with exactly what I was looking for and enjoyed the process. I appreciated having real conversations with the nice, friendly people who helped me. The dealership itself is the most attractive and welcoming one I visited. More

Takes advantage of out of state women on vacation! Honda of Oakland is the most Fraudulent Service center I have ever encountered. They take advantage of out of state travelers, especially women!!! Honda of Oakland is the most Fraudulent Service center I have ever encountered. They take advantage of out of state travelers, especially women!!! We are from Texas and have a 2007 Honda Odyssey. The check engine light came on and started making moaning sounds while we were on a recent road-trip. Took the car into Honda of Oakland for answers. After 2.5 hours of waiting, the Service rep (Mike) came out to tell me that the transmission was fried. He told me that "the transmission fluid was burned and he could smell the burning transmission fluid as I drove into the shop." On top of that the power steering pump had a leak as well as a leak in the power steering line. When I asked if they could replace the transmission fluid just so we could limp home, he stated "I wouldn't put my family back in that car!" He said they wouldn't drain the fluid as that could potentially cause additional problems. Our only option was to replace the transmission. (or, unstated, buy a new car) Faced with the decision to plug $6,000 into a 2007 car or buy a new car, we decided to think about it for a bit. Back at the hotel, I jumped onto Yelp to find an auto repair shop that might squeeze us in to give us a second opinion and found Johnee's Auto Repair with excellent Yelp reviews, including one from another cheated Honda of Oakland customer. Johnee couldn't get the check engine codes to download so he researched the codes provided by the Honda Service center in their database. The first thing it stated was to drain the transmission fluid and look for metal shavings. ((But wait...Honda said that they wouldn't do that, but their own Check Engine Database says that is the first thing to do. Hmmm)) If there were metal shavings, then the transmission would have to be replaced, if not, simply replace the transmission fluid. Guess what.... there weren't any shavings!!! Now, how would Honda of Oakland Service center know that my transmission was fried since they weren't willing to drain the transmission fluid. Mike was very friendly and I thought that he was genuinely concerned. I don't know if he was duped by the Service Department as well, or if he was making it up as we talked. The printed report he handed me didn't have descriptions of the check engine codes, and he kept referring to a hand written report that I couldn't read. The entire problem was solved with only $200 paid to Johnee on top of the $150 paid to Honda of Oakland, as opposed to the $6000 that Honda of Oakland quoted, and the car drives great and we made it back to Texas without any problems.
