I have been servicing my car at Ocean Honda NoHo (previously Robertson) for almost 5 years, and this is the first time I feel like the Service Writer heard me. Joe Lopez is an asset to the departmen (previously Robertson) for almost 5 years, and this is the first time I feel like the Service Writer heard me. Joe Lopez is an asset to the department and to the company: you need more people who care. The service was $$$, but it's worth it to me to use Honda mechanics and Honda parts. The mechanic indicated I didn't need a specific costly service, which I greatly appreciated. He did indicate other things that were far more pressing, and now my car is running as good as new. I have over 100k miles, and have no intention of moving on: though inconvenient for me Ocean Honda NoHo will continue to get my business, because Joe Lopez went out of his way to improve my experience. Deceptive business practices. They will happily waste your time and not think twice about it. Avoid them at all costs!! I emailed them for a lease quote on a Ridgeline truck that was listed on their w your time and not think twice about it. Avoid them at all costs!! I emailed them for a lease quote on a Ridgeline truck that was listed on their website for $44k. Instead of providing me the quote that I asked for, I was told that they only give prices to people that physically come out to their showroom. This was a huge red flag, especially in the midst of a worldwide pandemic, but I really needed a car and they weren't *that* far away, so against my better judgement, I went out to their dealership. Huge mistake on my part, but not one I plan on repeating... So I get there and ask for the salesperson I had made the appointment with (the one that wouldn't give me quote over email). She immediately hands me off to someone else who takes me over to the truck, points at the sticker and the "add-on" sticker and starts his rehearsed script of "as I'm sure you're aware, there's a microchip shortage...", at which point I cut him off because I saw that they're trying to sell this $44k truck for $59k. This additional $15k markup was not listed on their website and it was not mentioned by the salesperson who I emailed back and forth with. I understand that it's their dealership (a private business) and they can charge whatever they want for their cars, and if they had been upfront about it, I would wished them luck and gone on with my my day...but no, instead they needlessly wasted my time, and that's simply unacceptable. More
