Dealership from showroom to guest waiting, refreshments to restroom were were 10 out of 10. Our experience with salesperson and finance manger was very good. Buying a new automobile is not by nature a pleasant experience from test drive to explanations of vehicle was very good. Stefan our salesman couldn’t have been a nicer gentleman. Fine young man not once did he get frustrated with all the negotiations, his attitude when a long way as to overall experience. Rob finance manger was nice you man as well, my wife liked the interior look, feel and ride. I didn’t like the overall look of outside vehicle, so we when back and forth adding options to give more visual appeal. Rod was as helpful as possible, I do get a little testy. You don’t go to a car lot to save money!!!!!! Really don’t know if I could negotiated a better deal given all the add ones, having said that we bought the vehicle. If we were buy another Honda I’d gone back to Hendrix Honda for the purchase. 👍 More

I will recommend this dealership because they was not hesitant in providing an out of dealer price prior to me even stepping in the door. because they was not hesitant in providing an out of dealer price prior to me even stepping in the door. More

My intention in this review is not to blast the dealership all over social media but to give the average consumer insight and a good amount of skepticism when planning to work with this dealership. Of course, mistakes happen. But I truly had a bad experience at this dealership, and, if I were taking the time to read reviews and be an informed consumer, I would want to know about this experience. I coordinated an appointment with Honda of Newnan through a corporate perks program with my employer. I spoke to an online sales coordinator, Katie, and then a sales consultant, Justin, and they were both a pleasure to work with. I was really excited to purchase, as I had done a lot of research about the vehicle I wanted to look at (including pricing). When I got to my appointment, I was greeted by two employees outside of the dealership (which was a nice touch!), who escorted me (and my dad, who I brought because, being a woman, there is a little bit of a worry that you'll be taken advantage of at any dealership!) to the desk to get signed in. I then spent the next hour and a half (ish) test driving both the Honda HR-V and Honda CR-V (2019) with Trevor, who was respectful, knowledgeable, and personable! He answered all of my (many) questions and was very patient. I then asked him to bring me prices for the HR-V EX and CR-V LX and made it clear that, if I got the price I wanted, I would be driving off the lot with a car. The initial prices give to me by Trevor surprised me a little--but I wasn't entirely shocked by them. My dad and I asked what he could do to get a lower price. Trevor went to the back office again and returned with another sales associate (who I later discovered was a sales manager), Ryan. This is where my experience gets weird. We asked Ryan what he could offer us, and he knocked the CR-V LX to an out-the-door (meaning taxes and everything included) at $23,000 (the original quote they were giving me was around $25-26k - I, unfortunately, did not keep these paper quotes--please please keep these for yourself! Once you are put in as a no-sale the system purges your quotes.). Ryan would not budge on the HR-V EX price (about $28k everything included). I LOVED the price of the CR-V ($23k), agreed, and signed my name. Ryan and Trevor left and returned a short time later. At this point, Ryan asked if he could see the online quotes I received from TrueCar (the mechanism when you go through a corporate perks program). I felt this question was strange, told him I didn't have them prepared, but that the absolute lowest price I had seen for an HR-V was $19k but that most were around $20-21k (I received quotes from three different dealerships, including Newnan--and this of course is MSRP, not with tax included). This mainly made me suspicious because it felt as though I was being questioned--like Ryan didn't believe me. Ryan then went on to explain that their system had been "crashing" on and off all day and that the prices originally quoted were incorrect. The "best" he said I could do was $25,600 for the CR-V LX (raising it $2,600 from the $23k I SIGNED for), and he would not budge on the HR-V EX $28k (In the back of my mind I'm thinking, "Wait, didn't he tell me that the original quotes were incorrect? So doesn't that mean the $28k was incorrect?" Oh well). At this point, Ryan said the prices were what they were and that he could not get me a lower price. I was confused--mainly because I signed my name for the $23k and, even if the system WAS crashing, I would expect the dealership to honor the price I signed for, at the very least--or offer some other perk with the higher price. Of course, I did not feel good about the deal--not really because of the final price, although I still felt it was higher than it should have been, but because I signed for one price, only to be told that was incorrect and there would be no accommodation, whatsoever. So, I left to go to another local dealership. I signed for the CR-V LX within the first 20 minutes of being there, and I did not have to negotiate whatsoever--the second dealership gave me the lowest, out-the-door price for $23,624.00 FIRST. Again, no negotiation. Further, I NEVER mentioned my experience at Honda of Newnan, so they weren't matching a price I was offered at a previous dealership. In fact, I never mentioned my experience to this other dealership at all. That was not the point of me being there--I just wanted to buy a car! Trevor did contact me while I was at the neighboring dealership and left me a voicemail, asking how he could "save face." I appreciated him reaching out and called back but the call went to voicemail--I chose not to leave a voicemail but planned to call the next day (and I already knew I would be contacting the GM via e-mail). It is difficult for me to NOT see this as a bait and switch tactic. And, now reading through some other negative reviews, I see that others have had similar experiences. Maybe mine WAS a one-off experience (there are a lot of positive reviews too!). I left feeling Honda of Newnan as if their intention was to never sell me a car--that Ryan did not care one iota whether or not I purchased from them. I was very disappointed in not being able to purchase from my local dealership to support a local business (which is important to me). I told a few close friends and family about the situation to gauge their reactions and make sure I wasn't overreacting. Everyone I have told about this situation has encouraged me to leave a review, on every social media platform I can, and that I made the right decision by leaving the deal. I strongly feel that if another sales consultant assisted me, my experience would have been different. I wanted to speak to John Hicks (GM) of Honda of Newnan, because I felt it important that my experience be known to management. I did not expect anything in return, even though John offered me all-weather floor mats, which is a gesture I appreciate (if any of you have lived somewhere where it snows, you know how great all-weather floor mats are!). For the record: I won't be accepting the floor mats, because, like I said, I wasn't contacting him to get something in return. John of course supported his sales staff and held the fact that the system had been glitching the day I visited Honda of Newnan (I don't necessarily believe this--but it is what it is--I still hold the opinion that the Sales Manager, Ryan, would have noticed if the prices were way off first, not after the fact). I'm not sure at this point whether or not he's spoken to Ryan, but John, of course, could not verify the quotes I was given that day due to the fact my profile was purged; so, in turn, he couldn't verify my story. I have offered to provide the contact information of my dad, who was present, as well as reiterated the fact that Trevor was present during the conversation with Ryan, as well. I also felt like I had to defend the fact that I DID get an out-the-door price at the other dealership for $23,624--John said that if I did get that price, it was a deal. I did. For anyone reading this review, I did walk out of another Honda dealership with a white, Honda CR-V LX--taxes and EVERYTHING included--for $23,624. The other dealership did not pressure me to get any other accessories, did not pressure me to get an extended warranty--it was a great experience overall. (Oh, and the HR-V EX quote I received from this second dealership was about $7k cheaper than the quote I received from Honda of Newnan. That's right. $7k.) Long story short: if you feel weird about an experience, don't feel pressured to accept the higher price! There are dealerships out there who are fair and who don't make you go back-and-forth with pricing. Do your research--don't let a salesperson make you feel like you're wrong. We're wrong as consumers all the time--but if you have done your research (vehicle price, consumer reporting, NADA, online reviews), agree to a price, only to be told the actual price is higher....something is wrong. Follow your instinct. More

Very Disappointed With My Experience. I am very disappointed with my experience with Honda of Newnan. I do love my Passport. I am very happy with the car. I feel Brian the Floor Sales I am very disappointed with my experience with Honda of Newnan. I do love my Passport. I am very happy with the car. I feel Brian the Floor Sales Manager deliberately tried to take advantage of me. I did not like the way he handled my financing. I had red flags along the way and I should have walked out. I'm angry at myself for not paying attention to my instincts. Honda advertised all month 1.9% financing. Why I walked out with a finance number of 4.9 is crazy. I have an 800 credit score. When I asked Brian about this he said could not go back to the Finance Department one more time, they would not allow it. Now I will be refinancing my loan. On another note, I was given $2,000.00 for my trade in. The first time Brian presented the paper work to me he had only written in $800.00. When I questioned him about this he said, "Did I say $2000.00?" If it had been a true mistake he would have said, "Oh I'm sorry, I'll fix that." Instead, he turned to a salesperson under him and tried to get him to agree that he didn't quote me $2,000. It is not nice to be played like a fool. Brian was outwardly sneeky and sleezy dealing with me. He has lost any chance of my being a repeat customer. I had done my homework and was going to buy a Honda. I should have walked away and gone to a different dealership. I had invested so much time driving all the way to Newnan that I just wanted the experience to be over. Another incident happened with salesperson Peter which exemplifies the behavior of a person willing to put his ego far above the convenience and satisfaction of his customer. I did not pick up my car until the following weekend. Unfortunately I forgot to bring the title to my car. We were told by a staff person before we drove away, that I could just mail it. When I got home salesman Peter called and said I would have to return in person with the title. I live 90 miles away. I asked if I could just mail it and he informed me I would have to return in person to sign papers. Getting nowhere with Peter, I called and spoke to manager Chris. Chris said he would Fed Ex the paper work so I would not have to drive all the way back to Newnan. Does Peter treat all customers with such disregard? Was he unable to come up with a reasonable solution because he enjoys engaging in power stuggles with his customers? Chris, along with receptionist Lexie, were the two employees who worked diligently to serve my needs. In Lexie you have a very compassionate and wonderful employee. Thank you Chris and Lexie for saving the whole experience. I came to Honda of Newnan on a recommendation from my daughter. She purchased a car in December of 2018. She was very satisfied with the experience. I had a completely different encounter and a feel I was treated badly which now requires me to refinance. More
