I had a 7pm appointment on 10-14-21 to speak with Jose about purchasing a 2011 Toyota tundra crewmax platinum package VIN# 5TFFY5F11BX100862. I called him that morning at 950 am on 10-14-21 and scheduled an appointment at 7pm. He said ok and he would have the truck up front. Well the day passed by and and I sent him a message at 5:58pm letting him know I was on the way. It a hour from Columbus, GA to Newnan. He said perfect he will have the truck pulled up. I said ok thanks. We arrived and the truck was out front we looked at it for about 10-15 mins and then Jose came out to talk. We talked about some damage on the truck and he was telling us that it was going to get fix etc. Which was fine. He asked if we wanted to test drive and I said sure. He check my license and said he will be right back and went inside to get a tag for it. Well a good 5 mins went by and the finance manager came out telling me there was this other customer that came in before us and was trying to get the vehicle as well. He asked us could we wait why they did his credit check to see if can get it or not. Who would want to do that? When you already had your hopes for this truck but they sold it out from you!!! This is POOR Customer Service. I guess a honest man's word isn't good enough these days. THATS WHATS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY. PEOPLE LIKE JOSE!!!!!!!!! More
Went by yesterday to look at a 2018 Camry they had on the lot. I dealt with Mr. Calvin and he was a great guy. Unfortunately we couldn’t agree on a price and were off from making a deal. I was looking for weather tech floor mats and trunk mat, along with an added service plan to cover the vehicle to at least 100,000 and we just couldn’t get there. However, even though we didn’t make a deal I’d recommend these folks just on how I was treated as a person. Maybe it’s just Mr. Calvin or maybe it’s the whole dealership I’m not sure but still a great experience. You guys should check them out! Ask for Mr. Calvin! More
Trevor St Martin was excellent. He was friendly, knowledgable and understood that we were paying cash and did not want to spend time with all the xx that car dealers try to get you to buy. ie exten knowledgable and understood that we were paying cash and did not want to spend time with all the xx that car dealers try to get you to buy. ie extended warranties. The car had just arrived and was sitting on the back lot so this was an easy transaction thanks to Trevor. However the sales manager kept after us to buy the extras to the point I was ready to walk out. Thanks to Trevor he talked to the mgr and we drove out with our car in a reasonable amount of time. Hendrick Honda of Newnan took advantage of a 70 year old Newnan tornado victim. What kind of unethical place is this? The victim is still living in a hotel while her house is under construction due to Newnan tornado victim. What kind of unethical place is this? She went to Kendrick Honda of Newnan on Thursday, 5/20/21, looking for a used car within her budget. (Retired and having tornado expenses does limit a budget). She was shown a 2007 vehicle that she test drove. She really loved it and it was within her budget. She was so relieved that this part of the storm nightmare was over and she can now have a vehicle again. She spent hours there (as anyone who has bought a car knows) signing the paperwork and sealed the deal. They told her they would get it all ready for her and call her when it was done. She was finally happy about something being resolved from the nightmare of this storm. Hours later, they called her and told her they couldn't sell her the car. That there was a recall on it and they couldn't sell a car with a recall. (don't a lot of used cars have recalls?) They told her they did have other cars she could come look at (more expensive). Interesting... The day after this happened, Friday, 5/21/21, I went online to Honda of Newnan. The car was still listed under their used car section as available, so I submitted the little "interested" link with my name and email. Interestingly enough, the response I got was... "Hello Mrs. Phelps, My name is xxx from Honda of Newnan, and I'm going to be helping you with the MKX that you're interested in! I wanted to let you know that I do have this car available right now, and ready for a test drive. Do you have any free time today to come out and see it in person? Also, do you plan on trading anything in with us? Please let me know when you plan on coming, so I can make sure that I'm available for you. I look forward to hearing back from you!" Oh yeah xxx? Really? My mother wasted hours trying to purchase this car yesterday and was ultimately told it couldn't be sold. But it's available again the next day? So I replied with 3 questions: "Please confirm a few things for me: 1) how many owners has it had 2) any accidents 3) any recalls (repaired or unrepaired)" His reply (on 5/21): "Thank you for getting back with me! So I have looked at the Carfax to this vehicle. It looks like it has had 5 previous owners, as well as an accident listed. That being said, here we are a Rick Hendrick store and we have very high standards for the vehicles that we sell on our lot." So he knew of the recall. Obvious bait a switch, on a 70 year old woman, 50+ year Newnan resident, victim of the tornado. And the management team is involved as well (I received an email from the Internet Manager trying to assist me with this car as well) It breaks my heart that there are folks in Newnan who would do this after what this town has just been through, to their own. This may not be illegal, but it is most definitely unethical. And sad. Just wow 💔 BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU DO BUSINESS" More
