We’re sorry to hear about your experience Tiffany. As we discussed the 2018 Civic SI you brought in for service has an Engine Overspeed Condition code permanently stored in the ECU. That means that someone revved the vehicle beyond 6500 RPM’s and very likely damaged the engine prior to you bringing it in for service. That means the engine was pushed beyond it's mechanical limits and when it was brought in for an oil change it had very little oil in it. Before we even changed the oil the vehicle had a check oil pressure light when we pulled it into the service bay. If you'd like to discuss this matter further I am more than willing to do so. I'm sorry that someone over revved your vehicle and caused the engine damage that you're now experiencing. But to distort the facts of the case and only tell your side is unfair to everyone involved. please correct yourself rather than providing false information because the car came in with a service light and that was it. And you’re more than willing to discuss the situation ? I went directly to your facility yesterday to speak face to face and there was nothing resolved. Not to mention, You sat back on Monday when I picked the car up and watched your service manager bicker back and forth with me without even intervening. What kind of customer service is that ???? My message stated nothing but facts. You continue to stand on that ridiculous assumption of how the motor got damaged but I’ve already spoken to multiple certified techs that have stated your assumption is nonsense. I have nothing more to discuss with you.

This review is inaccurate and is not indicative of what happened Egidio Dicocco. You did have your vehicle serviced at the dealership and have had your Pilot serviced with us in the past. When you brought me outside to look at your vehicle you noted that there seemed to be three new dents/paint issues on your Odyssey's rocker panels. As you know a rotary lift has four points of contact. The first thing I said to you was two things: Honda vehicles are all equipped with jack points for lifts to make contact with and that if the vehicle was improperly set up on a lift it would have damage on 4 distinct areas. I'm perfectly willing to work with you on this matter but I know that we could not have caused the damage due to my earlier explanation of lifts having four points of contact. Furthermore all of our technicians are Honda Factory Trained and that of course includes proper use of Honda approved lifts for servicing vehicles. I believe that damage on your vehicle is likely from ice/snow as many people damage their rocker panels by driving over solid ice/snow. I'm sorry you feel that we damaged your vehicle but based on what you showed me yourself it could not have been caused by a lift. If you would like to reach out and discuss this matter further I can be reached at 203-877-2888 Extension 111 Respectfully, Stephen J. Courtney II Owner/Operator Honda of Milford

Your dealership is the only place that works on my cars and the damage is not from snow or whatever you say because this car does not get driven in the snow. As I said in my review I do my own full inspection of my car before dropping it off to your dealership. The day before I brought my van there I detailed the van and looked at every part to make notes of what marks or dents my car could possibly have which is none because I take car of my cars. I’ve been in the body shop business for 15 years and seen this damage before so you can say whatever you want but Ive seen this kind of damage before and it is from the something in between the lift arm and side skirt that puts the weight of the car on them causing cracked paint and dents/gouges so your theory of road debris or snow is not working as there are no scratches just cracked paint and dents in the plastic. I know for a fact the damage was not there because like I said I look at my entire car before and after getting service done. As far as your technicians I’m not knocking them I know stuff happens and the only thing I ask is to own up to it. I don’t know if you remember you probably weren’t there yet but I purchased a brand new 2000 civic si that I still have, and a couple months after there was a recall for the fog light switch, So I bring the car back to Courtney Honda for the recall and after I get home I open the hood and notice glue all over my windshield cowl weatherstrip so that led me to investigate further and I find my windshield cowl was badly damaged it had gouges where the screw covers were removed my steering column cover was cracked and your techs put some honda foam tape to try and cover up the damage . I also had a dent on my left front fender. So after I see all this damage I head back to your dealership and talk to Earl I believe and he got your tech which I believe is still working there to ask if he had to remove all these parts that were damaged to replace my fog light harness recall and he said yes. So I told Earl order the parts and I will put them on so don’t tell me your techs don’t mess things up or try and say my review is not honest. I’ve worked on plenty of cars that your techs have damaged so don’t think there are nothing but angles working for you. I just feel after all the business I gave you I would be treated a little better especially after my very expensive van was damaged at your place. You can ask Bob how I am with my cars , When there were recalls on my van I removed all necessary panels before dropping it off to your techs as from prior experience with my civic. This whole review would have been positive if you didn’t just blow me off and just say you don’t have an answer for me. This is a lesson for me and everyone who reads this to not just inspect your car prior but take and actual video of it when dropping it off for a little insurance.

I certainly understand how you feel Egidio. But I can assure you that we did not damage your vehicle. All of our technicians are factory trained and they put vehicles up and down on our lifts all day long. I disagree that we damaged your vehicle and if you're as particular as you say you are then I'm sorry if you had an issue in the past as well. I didn't blow you off like you're claiming but I'm also not going to be held responsible for damage that did not occur at my dealership. Respectfully, Stephen J. I don’t have time to go back and forth with you on this,I’m not a review leaving type of person but when my car gets damaged when it’s serviced I’m not going to let it slide. I’m telling you that the day before I brought you my car, that I fully detailed it inside and out and when I was finished I did a full inspection top to bottom ,I’m talking I was on my creeper looking underneath my car that includes my lower bumpers the low hanging exhaust and my rocker panels / side skirts. And I did not see anything wrong with my side skirts or anything else ,so after my detail and inspection I parked my van in the garage and the next day I pull it out drive to your dealership and after I waited for my service I look at my car and find damage that I guess magically appeared or from what you say was the snow or ice that might have caused it when this car has never seen those conditions. The damage that was done to my rockers is next to the jack points and to crack the paint like that it would take a lot of force to flex the rocker enough to crack the paint and cause deep dents that my rockers now have. You can take this van to any Bodyshop and they would confirm what I’m saying. As far as you saying you didn’t blow me off? You talked to me for 3 min and all I herd was your snow/ice excuses and I don’t have an answer for you so . I just want anyone who reads this to know that I’m not knocking this dealership they been servicing my cars since 2015 and never had a problem till now, the outcome would have been better if I wasn’t blown off and treated like I don’t know my own car. I’m just going to take this experience as a lesson ,a $750 dollar lesson and ad a new method to make sure that the dealer takes accountability for damage that my happen because it does and did happen to me. From now on I will keep doing my usual detail and inspection the prior day and also add that when I go to the dealer I’m now going to get the service writer to come outside and walk around my car and show them my car from top to bottom in and out and make sure I record the whole thing because this will not happen to me again . I love my Honda’s they are great cars I still have my 2000 civic si that has 46,000 miles on it that I bought new from this dealer . But this experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth. If you love your cars as much as I do and keep them in great shape I highly recommend you get the service writer out and do a walk around before leaving your car for service at any place that does work on your cars .
