Empire Honda of Manhasset admitted that they made a mistake when they issued a licensed plate that was not the same as the DMV issue vehicle registration. (Gabby recognized it on extension 102). This happened when I bought a car from them on July 15th with the license plate that they will register at the DMV. I found out about the mistake when I received a violation ticket from EZ Pass saying that the license plate registered to me had a violation. In my investigation I found out that the licensed plate issued by HONDA is different from the registration. 1) I called Gabby on 8/15 and she said they made a mistake in issuing the plate and sent it to the DMV. Gabby informed me that she requested a DMV registration based on the license plate they issued when I first purchased the vehicle. They said I will receive the registration within 4 or 5 days. 2) 8/22 I called Gabby again to inform her that I did not receive the registration. She said she will call Albany the next day to ask for the tracking number or give their fedex number to find out when it will arrive. 3) 8/23 - I called again but found Gabby didn't come in. I talked to Britney and told her what Gabby and I talked about. She said she would call Gabby and she would call me the next day at 11am (8/24). 4) 8/25 - I didn't get a call from Britney. 5) 8/29 - I called again and spoke briefly with Gabby who put me on hold for 10 minutes. I wrote a letter to express my disappointment which I sent to their Sales General Manager. A few hours later, I called again and spoke to Gabby. According to her, she talked to their Manager 2 minutes ago about the letter I wrote. She then informed that the temporary registration would no longer be mailed and the permanent registration would be mailed by the DMV. According to her I will receive it by Wednesday 8/31. 6) 8/31 - I received no registrations that day. I informed her again. She said there is nothing he can do now but wait for the register in the mail. Their mistake greatly affected my personal activities in addition to their lack of customer service (They didn't even keep their promise to call me back for an update). More
