Salesperson (Rodni)was knowledgeable, helpful, and went above and beyond. He was a gentleman. Purchased a 2012 CR-V EX-L with nav. Salesman Ino seemed knowledgable yet always had to "check with a manager" even after he gave me a price. I knew what I was willing to pay before I went to this dealership. The price was fair so I decided to purchase. I was told that the color I wanted was not on the lot but they could get one in a few days. A few days ened up being a week and a half. When I went to pick up the vehicle the ski rack was on the left side of the car . I asked if it could be moved to the right side. It was moved incorrectly. The locks were on the inside (middle) of the roof not the outside. The delivery person (don;t remember his name) was helpful in showing me the features of the car. The "business manager" Joseph Buontempo was terrible. I was shown an extended warrantee and a "service contract. Both looked expensive but fair. I specifically asked Mr. Buontempo if the service contract covered all of the manufacturers suggested maintenance items as well as oil changes. Mr. Buontempo told me it did other than expendables like tires filters and wipers. He also neglected to tell me the extended warrantee had a $100.00 deductible per occurrence. When I received the documents in the mail about three weeks after I picked up the car I found the $100.00 deductible and that the "service contract that I had specifically asked about ONLY covered oil changes. If you followed the factory recommended schedule of 5000 miles and you drive enough to do 70,000 in 6 yrs you would get 15 oil changes. The price for the "service contract" was $1000.00. That comes out to $66.00 per oil change. I called Manhasset Hondas service department and was told "all oil changes are $29.99" . I was told at a later time that the service department was "mistaken". Oil changes for the 2012 CR-V were $60.00 because of the synthetic oil used on the car.. Another "miscommunication". I received the contract information on a Friday and after researching the contracts by calling both the Manhasett Honda Service department and Hondas own customer service for the contracts I decided not to keep them. I called on Saturday and left messages for Mr. Buontemp. His voice mail said he was off on Sunday and Tuesday so when I did not receive a call back on Saturday I waited and called Monday morning . Again I left a message on Mr. Buontempo's voicemail. After two more calls on Monday I called another time and was told Mr. Buontempo was not in. I explained that i wished to come in and terminate the contracts. The receptionist said she would check with another finance person to see if someone could help me. She returned to the phone and told me I had to deal ONLY with the person that had done the paperwork whenI had picked up the car. I asked for the head finance manager and was told there was not a person in charge of that department. I then asked for the General manager and was told he was not in.I had developed a relationship with the internet sales person (Denise) and asked to speak to her and the RECEPTIONIST told me that Denise had nothing to do with the contracts and could not help me. I told the receptionist it was not her job to tell me who I could speak to. Denise said she would check on the problem and call me back. Within 5 minutes Gina Plakis (another business manager) called me back and told me that she would take care of the problem for me to come in that afternoon. Gina took care of terminating the contracts and told me I was misinformed that ONLY Mr Buontempo could terminate the contracts for me. Denice and Gina were the most professional people I dealt with at Manhasset Honda. If you know what you are interested in and know your prices you might wish to deal with Manhasset Honda but if your business manager is Mr. Buontempo RUN the other way. More
My experience at Honda Manhasset was the first positive experience I have ever had at a car dealership. Frank was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful of my need to take extra t experience I have ever had at a car dealership. Frank was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful of my need to take extra time before finalizing my purchase. He is the only salesman I've ever met who was honest and forthcoming with regard to the price of the car and didn't play games. I can't say enough about how much I appreciated feeling respected and valued as a customer, not just by Frank but by everyone at the dealership. I will gladly recommend Honda Manhasset to everyone I know! More
I am writing to inform you of the wonderful experience I had with Rodni and Ms. Gina Plakas, the Business Manager. First Rodni treated me with a warm greeting and then made me feel very comfortable througho had with Rodni and Ms. Gina Plakas, the Business Manager. First Rodni treated me with a warm greeting and then made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire negotiation of my new car. He worked with me professionally and got me a great deal on my new 2012 Odyssey without much haggling or high pressure. Next I met with Ms. Plakas who worked with me in getting me a great finance rate even though my credit was light and not very good. She offered me different options and consulted me and the different packages that would best suit my budget. Again, I felt comfortable and at total ease working with Ms. Plakas. She was able to let me take my new car home that day and I feel great. I was treated with respect and I got a great deal on my new Odyssey. I told Rodni and Gina that I would not only recommend them to all my friends and neighbors who are shopping for Hondas but that I would also send them clients who are shopping other brands because I love my new Honda Odyssesy and I loved working with Rodni and Gina. They are a class act and they should be commended. Their dealership is lucky to have them as staff members and I strongly recommend anyone looking to buy a new car to go see Rodni and Gina. They will leave you happy and satisfied and glad you went to Honda Manhasset!! More
Bought a new honda pilot 2012 EX-L. I was offered some extras like simoniz, security coding and i was told that they put nitrogen in their honda tires and if ever i run into a flat tire just put regular a extras like simoniz, security coding and i was told that they put nitrogen in their honda tires and if ever i run into a flat tire just put regular air and drive to their service dept and they will replace it with nitrogen...i was not informed that i have to pay for it, since it is not in the initial paper that i signed. Then i asked to install a remote starter and that time they have a sign that says $995 for remote starter, passive alarm and bumper sensors. Since it is a honda dealer with their own service dept, I am expecting that it will be honda oem accessories. The following day the suv is presented to me not with the same salesman but another guy and showed some of the features. I noticed that the cover in the dashboard was off. A man came from the service department and installed it back in place. I was so tired from work that day and to complain about that incident is just another stress so i just let it pass. I left the place not realizing that the remote starter they installed is an aftermarket brand from avital that only cost $199 dollars...plus installation honda chrged me for $995 who knows what brand is the passive alarm and of course no sensors installed !!! The following day i called david and complain about it. He offered to install the sensors. When i returned i met russ, david is not around even if i left him a message that i am coming. Russ heard my story and what he offered is to recalibrate the remote starter so that it will turn on the suv's a/c or heat. Yes..the remote starter just start the engine but it wont turn on the heat or a/c nice huh !!! Now i am shopping for a car in replacement to my wife's honda civic...i wanted to buy a new civic but with this experience...probably not. So beware of their sales tactics....i believe the city or its town business bureau must not be lenient to protect the consumers from these type of business practice. A Bad experience...indeed !!! Back in January, Gina Plakas helped get a great deal on a new 2012 Honda CRV. Unfortunately, I got into a terrible accident only 3 months later. And although the vehicle was deemed totaled, I still believe the safety features and overall quality of the car helped save my life and without any major injuries. So once again, Gina Plakas came to the rescue, to find me yet another great vehicle at another great deal. She does all the legwork for you, so the process is easy and pleasant. I now reside in Florida, but both times I made trips all the way back from New York, just because I have my trust and loyalties at this particular Honda dealership....a trip well worth making. More

The Honda Manhasset dealership is highly professional and knowledgeable about not only Honda's cars, but other cars that are comparable love the car. I highly recommend working with both Brian Gunder and Gina Plakas. Both were excellent to work with, and we are very happy with the purchase. One of the things that we really liked was when we came in for our first service visit, Brian was very helpful in helping me with pairing my phone with the car. He was very friendly, and professional in all my dealings, and I recommend that after you do your research that you go and see Brian, who will help you in the selection of the best car for you. I am also very, very happy with the service. I would highly recommend Honda Manhasset to anyone looking for a new Honda. More
