What happend to Mahwah Honda! I bought my first Honda (Pilot) from Mahwah Honda in Feb. 2010. I loved the car and did all of my servicing with them over the years. I recently tra I bought my first Honda (Pilot) from Mahwah Honda in Feb. 2010. I loved the car and did all of my servicing with them over the years. I recently traded in my Pilot and bought a new Accord Hybrid from them. What a DISASTER of an experience. My sales person Dennis was fantastic! From there it's all down a very steep mountain with multiple problems. My problems started with the Finance person when purchasing this Accord. As I went through a divorce my credit wasn't great. I asked the Finance person to please help me out. Well, he did the opposite! Thinking he had me he offered me a rate that he said he fought very hard for and in a tone that I should be very grateful he was able to get if for me. His hard fought rate was 8.9%. I decided to apply with my bank on line and within 5 minutes my bank approved me for a 4.6% rate without any negotiating. I highly recommend checking with your bank prior to financing a car with this dealer. I'm confident you will get a much better deal then what Mahwah Honda offers. My next issue was with the car. I bought a 2018 Accord Hybrid. It's rated at 47/47 Hgwy/city. The computer kept reading it was getting about 32 MPG. I brought it to them to check. My service advisor Robert Diaz told me in a not so customer service friendly way that I shouldn't expect to get what the car is rated at. I told him true, but I don't expect to get 15 miles below that and he continued to argue with me. When I picked the car up I found that it had been involved in an accident that they didn't tell me about. Luckily, I discovered it before I left the lot. They did take responsibility after viewing a recording of when I brought the car in and found it didn't have any damage and replaced the front bumper. I had paid almost $500 for an environmental package that protects the paint. I've been asking them along with the service manager if the new bumper has had the environmental package applied to it. No one there including the service manager has returned my calls or replied to my emails about this. I had to go there 3 times and still have not heard back over a week later. My emails and phone messages have gone unanswered. I've had many other issues with them on this new car but it's to many to list and this review would get to long. Something changed with Mahwah Honda over the years. In my opinion they went from a great/honest dealer to one that I have to count my fingers after every time I deal with them. They no longer understand what customer service is about. With all of the issues I've had with them this time no one ever reached out to me. Instead, they look at me as a difficult customer. Funny, the 9 years prior to this I never had an issue with them and they never had an issue with me. They look at me now all of a sudden as if I turned into a difficult customer. I ask them why would my level of frustration be so high now when in 9 years we never had an issue. I paid a lot of money for this car and do expect that they live up to what I paid for. After being a customer for 9 years I would never go back to them and I would discourage anyone of my friends or family from going to them. More
Oil change & tire rotation I called for an appointment to have car serviced, told Paul Eischen service code was A!. He said I could come right over. Excellent Customer Service On January 22, 2019 my C/S person was Robert Diaz. He should probably be tasked with giving periodic superior C/S seminars, he's that good.
