I stopped at this dealership because of an ad that I saw in a newspaper. According to the ad they were having a super sale and will beat any other dealership deal. I walked around for 10 minutes before someone greeted me. Then when it was time to talk numbers, I pulled up a deal that I got from another dealer and they made it seem as if was an impossible deal. Any how they gave me there best price which was $3k more than what I just showed them. Then the treated me like I was stupid and and tried to tell me that if I go to the other dealer that they would offer me the same deal as theirs. Then they played a math game with the numbers (adding and subtracting the adding again). I should have told them I was an engineer. Before I was about to walk out, a sales manager walked up and told me that the best deal they could give me was $35k when I told them that I already had a deal for $34200. I appreciate that Debbie kept folowing up with me by email but if you are not going to extend to me a better offer than what is the point. I would not recommend this dealer because of false advertising and playing games the numbers. Don't expect to treat people like idiots then earn their business. More
I searched the cars on the website and had an idea of which car I was interested in. Mike greeted me and went over the availability, options, and price. I can't say enough about "Z". If you are looking to purchase a vehicle - and I highly recommend the Odyssey if you are looking for a van - make sure you visit "Z". He is first class and a gentleman! Bought a 2013 Honda Fit Sport on 4/20/2013. After getting several quotes from dealerships, we chose to visit them because of the selection they had of the colors we were interested in, and their will getting several quotes from dealerships, we chose to visit them because of the selection they had of the colors we were interested in, and their willingness to be match other reasonable quotes we received from other dealers. I would recommend this dealer due to their selection of cars in stock, willingness to work with us on pricing, promptness in responding to email and phone calls, and attentiveness and comfort while at the dealership. I would recommend working with them over email or phone on finalizing pricing before going into the dealership on a weekend and making sure to get all the details of the car you are interested in. For more details on our experience read below. Worked with Shay Randolph over email on quotes and received a call from Shawn Kiannejad regarding finalizing the pricing. Both of them were prompt, accommodating,and patient. The only issue I had was when I was initially quoted the price, they did not inform me of the additional cost of dealer add-ons such as wheel locks and body molding. But they did provide me with this information over the phone before I went into the dealership. They matched a lower price I received from another dealership. Went to the dealership to check out the different vehicles they had in stock. The location was pretty comfortable: waiting area with a TV, kid's area, can check out an ipad while you wait. We initially met with Shawn and went on test drives and finalized the purchase with John Campbell. We were there for over 3 hours mainly because we had to wait for one vehicle to test drive because they had just received it and had to inspect it. But I thought that they were very prompt in getting the car for us to test drive. After deciding on the which vehicle we wanted, the paperwork and loan process were very easy, and we did not feel pressured in anyway even while we took our time to decide on adding an extended warranty. John did a great job in reviewing all the features of the car with us, but to be honest, this is the second Fit we have purchased, so we were already familiar with the car. Everyone we interacted with were very friendly, and they even add little touches such as giving my 3 year old a stuffed bear and letting him hit their gong to announce a car had been sold. Nice to see people who want your business going the little extra mile to make you feel welcomed. More
We bought our 2013 Honda Odyssey EX-L w/ RES on 4/15/13. We've purchased/leased our last 4 vehicles from Honda of Lisle so it was a natural fit for us to return, especially since we have become loyal to the We've purchased/leased our last 4 vehicles from Honda of Lisle so it was a natural fit for us to return, especially since we have become loyal to the quality of Honda. We were more in the mindset of reviewing the Odyssey on this day, but if we got the right deal we were ready to make a purchase. Our sales rep, Debby, was the best sales rep we have worked with at Honda of Lisle, but at any dealership. Not pushy at all, wasn't biased to any trim package and was very cordial throughout the process. Debby was also very honest in the fact that the price negotiation was not her decision and she would take our offer to the sales manager. It was nice not to hear "well, there is no way we can meet that price" or "my sales manager will never go for that". She simply took our offer (multiple times) and provided it to the sales manager without question. All in all, I felt we got a good price for the vehicle and the dealership made a profit. What is somewhat frustrating to me is that we have been customers since 2002. At the same time, every visit there seems to be a brand new one. They have our names in the system, but it's like we have never been there before. You have to fill out the same "intro" forms and start the process over like you are a new client lead. Sorry, but in today's economy (and if you are a recurring customer), you should feel like you are a valued client. I simply did not get that impression after multiple visits and purchases. The finance/final sales process was also a bit frustrating. During this process, it was the first time we saw the equivalent of our monthly payment. It was a bit out of our range that we wanted for a monthly payment, but the finance representative made the deal meet what we were looking to obtain. It was nice to get the deal done, but the math got a little bit dicey. When you have to tell someone how to figure out the rate on 5 year loan, its a bit concerning. I didn't care for the notion that my calculations were by default incorrect, but once I verified his math matched mine, I just wanted to sign the papers and finish the process. All in all, a pretty smooth process albeit for an industry with much to be desired. I really value business relationships and wish Honda of Lisle did the same, but I guess that is just par for the course with purchasing a car. With that being said, I do feel that Honda of Lisle is probably the best Honda dealer in the Chicago metro area and would recommend anyone considering a Honda dealership to at least refer to them if you're in the market for a Honda. If you do go there, ask for Debby. She was by far the best rep I had worked with there and was a pleasure to do business with in acquiring our Odyssey. More
I have purchased two Odysseys from this dealer in the past and received good treatment, but I wanted to purchase another Odyssey and they did not have what I was looking for. They could have located it, but I know I could get a better deal from a dealer that had what I was looking for in stock. I did locate the vehicle at another dealer and they did beat the price that Honda of Lisle was offering. This is where the problem starts. I needed to cancel my extended warranty on the last Odyssey that I purchased from Lisle and now I noticed the change in demeanor of the staff at the Lisle dealership. I get the sense I'm bothering them and they do not return my calls. I called three times and left messages before I finally talked to someone. This is probably because I did not purchase my new 2013 Odyssey from lisle. I believe this is poor business practice and I will not even consider going to this dealer in the future for another vehicle or for service. More
I came in to the dealership last week for two reasons: to get an oil change and purchase a new vehicle. From service (Joe) to sales (Michael) and Financing (Brad), the experience was beyond my expecation to get an oil change and purchase a new vehicle. I always dread having to go through the process of purchasing a new vehicle but this team works well - no hassles, very turnkey and transparent - which I greatly appreciated. The little negotiation I had to do was a non-event in my book and I will continue to do business with Honda of Lisle (and Michael and Team) for years to come. The people we worked with provided great customer service, however, at the beginning of the financing process it took a substantial amount of time. Then, when we were preapproved for a better rate th service, however, at the beginning of the financing process it took a substantial amount of time. Then, when we were preapproved for a better rate through Chase, we were encouraged to physically go to the bank to complete their loan process instead of working through the dealership's finance department to secure the rate through Chase. We spent about 3 hours at the dealership in the morning finalizing a price and discussing financing, and another 3 hours at Chase getting the loan check....When we returned and finalized the purchase we spoke to a different finance guy that could suddenly get us a better rate and include a long-term warranty for the initial costs that were offered that morning. We happily took the better offer, and it was completed in less than 10 minutes...but this could have all been accomplished much much much earlier that morning instead of us literally losing an entire day. Got to the dealership at 10am...drove out at 6pm...always either at the dealership or bank... Again, the people are personable and awesome, and the price was good, but if you're not a cash buyer...take the day off (like we did) to buy. More
