We have been customers there for over 10 years, and have continued to have our vehicles serviced there, even after moving to Omaha. We have always been impressed with their service and always have felt that we could trust them. Recently, they truly went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. While on vacation, and on a Saturday afternoon, the air conditioner on our 9 year old CR-V stopped blowing air. The air conditioner had been replaced about a year before, so I called Honda of Lincoln and left a message wondering which parts had been repaired and if we had a warranty. Even though their service department was closed, the Service Manager, Jeff, called me from home and talked me through the repair. He even visited with the Honda service team in Florida and helped them diagnose the issue, which they had initially misdiagnosed. He also checked back in after the repair to make sure everything was working smoothly. I feel as though Honda of Lincoln doesn't just view its customers as income, they truly care about us and our well being. We will continue to service (and purchase) there going forward. More
Help in a jam My son and I were driving from Burlington, Vermont, to Denver, Colorada, in his 2004 Honda Civic. On the second day of our trip, getting ready to sto My son and I were driving from Burlington, Vermont, to Denver, Colorada, in his 2004 Honda Civic. On the second day of our trip, getting ready to stop for the night pulling off I 80 and at the first stop our car stalled. Luckily we were able to get it started again and I asked my son to look up the local Honda dealer. We called and spoke to Bob Vargar. He told us to come in the next day and he would help us as best as he could. Luckily we were able to make it to the hotel and get to the dealership at 7 o'clock in the morning. They took us right in. They had the car up on the lift. The service advisor, Jim Hudson, and the mechanic (sorry I don't know his name), told us that the air compressor had seized and tore our A/C alternator belt. They discovered a way to circumvent the air compressor and get us on the road quicker than I ever could have imagined. My son and I made it to Denver that evening with the help of all the kind people in Lincoln Honda. Everybody was helpful and caring. More
Back in the shop less than a month later A simple software upgrade took hours & the 'check engine' & 'IMA' lights came back on less than 30 days later. I called & they told me to bring it back in, knowing that I was 1100 miles away. When I said that wasn't possible, they told me I'd have to take it to another dealer and have it repaired again (at my expense, of course). I question what, if anything was done on my car since they make sure customers cannot watch as the repairs are done. I had my car in to this same shop a few days after my initial visit for a simple lock repair. (A part had to be ordered.) I advised the customer service rep that I was on a tight schedule and would need to be on the road before noon. They said it would take approximately an hour for the repair. Two and a half hours later I was busy trying to reschedule appointments because I could not get a clear answer regarding how long the repair would take. This likely will be the last Honda car I buy. (It was purchased from a different dealer.) I've purchased nothing but new Honda cars for since the 90's. I am now shopping for something else, anything else but a Honda. My first Accord was a good car. This one has been nothing but a lemon and I've been very unhappy with service I've gotten at this and other Honda dealers. More
