I cannot say enough about Metro Honda in Monroe, NC. This was my first car buying experience and if yesterday (12/7/13) was any indication, I will go back to Metro Honda for every car purchase. From the mome was my first car buying experience and if yesterday (12/7/13) was any indication, I will go back to Metro Honda for every car purchase. From the moment I walked in the door, I was immediately greeted by smiling employees. I stopped by yesterday to look at Used CRVs and potentially Used Accords. I also wanted to look at the New 2014 CRV to see the differences between a 2011 and 2014. Falling in love with the 2014 CRV, I had to work out budget wise if I could make a new car payment happen. Metro Honda worked with me and I drove away in a new CRV yesterday. They listened to my budget. They talked me through my fears of buying a car. And, they all congratulated me when I was leaving. If I can sum up my experience, it would be that Metro Honda puts the customer first. I will recommend this dealership to anyone I know. More

I, like many of you who will read this, am not a mechanic. When my vehicle begins driving differently, starts making noises that were not there before, or does things that makes me fell uncomfortable, I rely on the experts to help me put my mind at ease. I recently visited the Metro Honda dealership to purchase some needed items. While I was there I spoke with a service advisor about a concern I was having with my car. I explained what I had experienced and that the car was a certified Honda and still under warranty. The first question posed by the advisor was "did you purchase the vehicle from Metro Honda?" Help me understand what that has to do with addressing the issue with the car. The answer was "no." The next question was "how long ago did you purchase the vehicle?" You can probably imagine where this is going. I was simply wanting a technician to ride with me to see if the noise was something I needed to be concerned about. It would have taken less than 5 minutes! Instead, the advisor went into a long discussion of how he may not get paid for the work if the extended warranty I purchased did not cover the part. What? I never said I purchased an extended warranty! I explained the car is "Honda certified". He recommended I take the vehicle back to the dealership where it was purchased. He went on to inform me that he was concerned there was a possibility that Metro Honda would not get paid for the job. Keep in mind we still do not know what the noise is. You may say this is just one bad experience, right? Actually no. We had an awful experience 5 years ago with one of their sales staff. My wife was very insulted and to this day refuses to visit this dealership. We ended up purchasing a new vehicle from a different dealership. Metro Honda is close to our home which makes it convenient. I encourage you to share your experience with this dealership as people need to know. More
Great price on a new 2013 Pilot - had a bad a water leak that damaged interior and left mold and rust in a vehicle with 5,000 miles - Metro repaired the leak and replaced the carpet but "couldn't find any o that damaged interior and left mold and rust in a vehicle with 5,000 miles - Metro repaired the leak and replaced the carpet but "couldn't find any odor or rust" when I brought the vehicle back for further repairs - the interior wreaked of mold and there was a substantial amount of rust under the dash of my brand new car - Metro claimed there was nothing wrong, no odor, and no rust - I was forced to file a claim with American Honda Customer Service department and take to another dealer for repairs - Honda Cars of Rock Hill was outstanding! They had an outside company chemically clean the interior of the vehicle and acknowledged the rust under the dash - I was very disappointed that the dealership that sold the vehicle couldn't/wouldn't complete the repairs - Mr. Childs was extremely rude, yelled at me, said "I should give him the respect he's earned", cursed at me, accused me of bringing false allegations against his dealership to try and" get out of the lease", and ended the conversation by asking me to contact American Honda with my problems, and hung up on me. I definitely wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone. I would like to mention that my sales person, Steve Carlton, was excellent to work with and tried everything within his power to rectify the situation. More
We bought a Honda Fit 2011. When we called to ask questions concerning photos of the car on your internet site, all our questions were answered expeditiously. However when we got there, one of the que questions concerning photos of the car on your internet site, all our questions were answered expeditiously. However when we got there, one of the questions I asked concerning some condition issues that were apparent in the photo were as depicted in the photo and yet had been dismissed in the phone call. This could have been overlooked due to the reasonable cost of the car, however it is now 29 days past the day we bought the car and the paper work for the titling has not been filed with the Monroe DMV early enough for us to get the paper work before our temporary licence expires tomorrow. I narrowed my search down to 2 cars online. Came down to Metro and a dealership in Spartanburg. After the car I was looking at in Spartanburg fell through, due to me finding damage not reported on carfax, Metro and a dealership in Spartanburg. After the car I was looking at in Spartanburg fell through, due to me finding damage not reported on carfax, I figured to per-sue this Dealership. I dealt with Shon Moye over Internet back and forth and after the first offer I decided it was too much and I had to move on. Shon was quick to make it a point that a small price difference wouldn't be a problem and that we could talk about what kind of price we were needing for a deal. He's a nice guy and I understand the sales pitch and games you have to go through but I thought it was a bit much to be honest and I almost walked away. I also made sure I settled on an interest rate before test driving so if I liked the car I could walk in and out. After some more "games" he said his boss agreed to my banks interest rate and we could go through with the deal. I did not care for the fact that I had to finance through them. I think if your paying it doesn't matter where you go through just as long as they get their money. I'm not stupid in thinking they don't make way more money off used car sales then brand new cars as the markup is tremendous figuring in the low trade in values they (all dealerships) give to customers. But we did agree on everything so it worked out that they could match my bank. I took it for a test drive with Richie who was great by the way. Super nice guy. After seeing I liked what I drove we went to sign papers. Everything was great except for a few bumps in finance with David Helms. He seemed extremely stressed and tired and really didn't explain much about the paperwork I was signing. Like another poster, I had an extended warranty slipped into my deal that I had to have cancelled and re-printed out so I would be careful when signing papers. Still all in all, I think I got a great deal for a decent price. I drove over 100 miles so they were the best I found with pretty good reviews all the way around. Took it to a private mechanic when I got home and they said the car was in terrific shape. Said whoever took care of it before me kept up with it with everything so the car is perfect. I'd like to thank Shon for putting up with me and my questions and willing to go down a little bit on price to get a deal. I want to thank Richie for the test drive and wish him and his new family all the luck. And finally I'd like to thank David for helping me as well despite it being late in the day. But I would recommend he take a vacation as soon as possible :) More
I went to Metro Honda of Union County on July 3rd 2013 , to purchase a car and was very disappointed when I got home. The finance guy (Davis Helms) was very dishonest with me. H to purchase a car and was very disappointed when I got home. The finance guy (Davis Helms) was very dishonest with me. He slipped an extended warranty program with car paperwork I had to sign. I went back on July 5th 2013 to cancel all the add on, he made it very hard, and raise the interest rate after cancellation. Do not do business with them, please!! I was going to purchase another car in the next year or so, but will not get it at Metro Honda of Union County. More
