After test driving the new 2016 Pilot I knew that eventually this was the next vehicle on my to get list. Robert was patient, personable, professional and a pleasure to work with. By far one of, if not the best car salesman I have ever worked with. Not once did I feel pressure to make the deal. Would recommend Robert and Honda of Hackettstown to friends and family. More

I flagged down a Honda employee and Robert Nylund was incredibly helpful and enthusiastic about getting me the information I needed. I scheduled an appointment and brought my car in the next week. Both Robert Nylund and Thomas Graham were very informative when it came to evaluating the condition of my car and the options that I have going forward. They were very upfront with showing me the best deal and I feel that I now have a good idea of how I want to handle my situation. I am glad to be a customer of Hackettstown Honda thanks to the great service and hospitality I am greeted with every time I walk through the door. More

I reached out through the internet and Jessica got in touch with me quickly - she was very professional and nice and helped me put a deposit on it until I was able to come in and see it. When I was there she matched me up with Rafe, who was equally as awesome. He took me on the test drive and then eventually made the whole buying process a breeze. Rafe was laid back and straightforward, and I'm so thankful to Honda of Hackettstown for making the whole experience wonderful! I love my new Honda Fit!!! More

Answer to Prayer...No really read on. A few weeks ago my wife, Heidi, had an accident on the way to work. So in my pre-coffee, just out of bed, state of mind I sent the kids to our neighb A few weeks ago my wife, Heidi, had an accident on the way to work. So in my pre-coffee, just out of bed, state of mind I sent the kids to our neighbor and arrived at the scene with ice. Thankfully she was okay, save the large bump on her head and bruising, and no one else was involved. However, the car did not fare as well as she did. Although we drove it home, our insurance company had determined it was totaled and cut us a check for its value. My wife took some time off from work to heal and in that time we were shopping for a new vehicle. We had two vehicles in mind a Hyundai Tuscon and a Honda CR-V, none of which would be our eventual purchase. For her and my peace of mind we had to have 4 wheel drive, and it had to be safe. So we visited Hackettstown Honda on the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend. Needless to say it was busy. As we looked for someone to help us we saw Rob Nylund working on a license plate to a vehicle. He was very gracious and after finishing with another customer, he helped us and had my wife test drive a couple CR-Vs. Now I’m a stay at home dad and my job was to wrangle and entertain the kids 9, 7, and 4 while Heidi shopped. The kids zone in the dealership and complimentary snacks were very helpful in doing just that, and Dunkin Donuts nearby helped too (I’m addicted). She really liked the CR-V, however, on the way home I wasn’t sure if she liked it as much as she liked the no pressure sales she experienced with Rob. I was learning where Rob was from and other details about my wife’s new found supposed BFF. I laughed of course and said, “Wow he got you, hook, line and sinker.” So needless to say when we visited again the next day, without kids I was not going to be “duped” like my wife was. But seriously it wasn’t long before we all were joking with each other as well as focusing on making a decision for a car. We had a good idea we were going with the CR-V, but we also knew our budget limitations going in. When we heard the price and numbers explained to us by Thom Graham, we both sunk and felt defeated. Thom’s calming approach to our dilemma showed both professionalism and understanding. There was no way we were going to make it work. So against my wife’s initial plan to not look at used cars, we ventured into the used lot adjacent to the main building. As we were looking, my wife turns to me and says, “Have you been praying? I have.” We are a Christian family who truly believes in the power of prayer, but I had to admit I wasn’t as diligent about it as my wife had may have thought I was. We looked at two cars. That’s right …TWO, an older CR-V and a 2006 Honda Pilot. I didn’t like the Pilot look at first but Heidi did. Rob said “Just sit inside and see what you think.” It was immaculate, I mean CRAZY clean!! We took it for a drive and I saw hope pour back into my wife’s face, I was sold. The price was great and we bought the car that day. The night before we had talked leather seats and a remote starter would be awesome, but wrote it off as being too greedy. This car had both. It was literally an answer to prayer. She needed to fill out paperwork and I had to relieve our babysitter so I took off to go home. On the road my cell rings and it’s my wife calling from her new car to tell me that she found in the glove box a hard wired charger for her iphone 4S. So cool! She also told me Ralph Spinosa was SO helpful in insuring our new vehicle, putting the icing on the cake. In the big picture of securing a safe and sound vehicle for my wife, these things seem small. However, when you are making a car purchase those small things make a big difference, and these guys at Hackettstown Honda understood that. I don’t know where these guys stand with God, but I do know that they were used by Him to remind my family that He does answer prayer. Thanks Rob, Thom and Ralph, God bless you and your business. Worst Car Buying Experience Ever! Made the deal and paid cash for a 2012 Certified Honda Accord. We picked it up the next day and almost ran out of gas on the way home from the dealer Made the deal and paid cash for a 2012 Certified Honda Accord. We picked it up the next day and almost ran out of gas on the way home from the dealership not realizing the gas tank was actually empty until I noticed the gas tank light was on. That was only the beginning of what was to come. They could not produce the title to the car. Eventually the temporary 30 day registration ran out and had to be renewed for another 30 days. The Manager, Thomas Graham, initially seemed like he wanted to make things right, but he gave me one conflicting excuse after another blaming the situation on Motor Vehicle, then on Honda Corporate. I finally called both, and both were not the problem. It was more of one excuse after another until Motor Vehicle sent a representative to the dealership to check on the problem. Vicki Buck in finance told them that they were trying to get the title from the outfit where they purchased the car, but Motor Vehicle gave Honda of Hackettstown a deadline to produce the title. After more excuses that were proven untrue my title and registration came in just under the deadline with new plates. I originally asked them to transfer my old plates because they were special wildlife plates. They couldn't even get that right. Then, the man in the service department who installed the new plates got angry because we pointed out that the license plate frame he installed was cracked. If Motor Vehicle hadn't stepped in I might still be trying to get the title to the car. I couldn't leave that place fast enough, and I will never purchase another car from them, ever. Buyer beware. More
