Honda GREENBELT-specifically Marvin and Joe -saved me. I was out of state, needed to return to NJ at 4pm and civic alerted engine too hot and to stop driving. Went to dealer with no appt an hour before th I was out of state, needed to return to NJ at 4pm and civic alerted engine too hot and to stop driving. Went to dealer with no appt an hour before their closing. They couldn’t have been more helpful. Not only did they find I had almost no coolant due to likely gasket issues, but they filled the coolant so I could at least get home safely without damaging my engine. They charged me $0! I now need to follow up at home to get the cause rectified but it meant the world to me to get home. And they know I’m out of state so they likely won’t get more service from me but they really took care of me. I was in tears at their kindness. Thank you Honda GREENBELT! More
Service is fine but incredibly slow. Almost 3 hours for a simple oil change, no other add ons. And you don't really get to speak to mechanics, so it's all a game or telephone. Too many bottlenecks in the process, like needing the one manager to sign off on every final transaction, even a simple oil change, turn 30 minute jobs into multi-hour jobs, and make it not worth the time, unfortunately. So I will just buy the Honda Oil from the parts department, and get the oil changed elsewhere from now on. More
I am extremely frustrated with my experience at Honda of Greenbelt. I made an appointment at 10:45am on July 5th for a brake inspection. After checking my car in, I sat in the waiting room for 3 hours. I we Greenbelt. I made an appointment at 10:45am on July 5th for a brake inspection. After checking my car in, I sat in the waiting room for 3 hours. I went to the front desk to ask for an update. The man I spoke with laughed while I told him how long I’d been waiting, saying he’d let my service provider know. I sat back down again, waiting to see him speak with her - he didn’t until I came to the front desk again to talk to her directly - at which point she told me she would waive the brake inspection fee. After another half hour in the waiting area, she came to tell me a technician was driving my car to see what the issue is. Two trips (for who knows how long with how much gas burned) were made to identify the problem. I didn’t get an estimate until 4:20pm. $800 for them to order the parts and service me for a left front bearing replacement (the parts are only $135). I asked for a printed copy of the inspection and quote to take elsewhere… I can only assume that a company who doesn’t value a customer’s time doesn’t value the vehicles they’re servicing. It took 30 more minutes to get that printed. I’m now sitting in my car at 5pm with almost an empty tank and nothing fixed. My time was wasted for a quote that far exceeds my trusted service dealership back home in Delaware - an inconveniencing trip I’m forced to make to ensure all of my repair needs are fully met within reason. 945 am appointment for 4 tires on Saturday ended up being ready Monday afternoon. Shouldn’t take that long for four tires. NTB does them right away and same day. But apparently there is only one alignment machine. Also my lug nuts went in in too shape, shiny chrome and came out chewed up from the technicians air guns. I thought they gave me old lug nuts. David cleaned up the lugs before returning my vehicle. I appreciated it. Take photos of your lugnuts (if they are in great shape) before it goes in. I still love this dealership. This is my first hiccup with them. More
