AVOID the service department Avoid Freehold Honda Service Department. I leased my car at the dealership last April and they were helpful, and it was a good experience. THEN, I had an issue with hearing my Iphone ring on the hands free system. I spent 4 hours there just to hear that it was a software compatibility issue that they knew about. I was aggravated, given the run around and finally spoke to a service agent that told me they would be in touch with me to compensate me for my wasted time. Never heard from them. I went there yesterday for an update on the navigation map. I went online and saw that this can be done at the dealership. So, I made an appointment and wanted the service manager to call me to assure that they can do it. Did you get a call? I didn't. I drive from Bloomfield. First, the original service rep was a very nice young man and he told me that they couldn't do it there. I questioned that and they took car. 30 min later, he tells me that they need a thumb drive. My mistake. THEN he said that it would take 4 hours and $500, 4 hrs of labor. I was angry now. As I was leaving, an older service jerk started ARGUING with me. How would they know they can't do the job until they looked at it. I looked at him with a puzzled look. I said what do you mean? I have a 2017 Honda with Navigation. It needs a Map update? What do you have to analyze? According to the website, I can bring it here. He continued to argue with me in the service area. I knew then that I was dealing with the dumbest service department known to Honda. So, my friends, pass the word. AVOID this place like the plague. More

Car was purchased in October, issue started in December, issue does not occur all the time Salesman would give a 6 star rating! He was awesome! Service department ZERO star rating!! More

Although that communications experience was terrible, I have since brought my new CR-V in fo I'm updating the negative review I initially wrote below. Although that communications experience was terrible, I have since brought my new CR-V in for service twice. Both times Jake was my service advisor. Both experiences were excellent. Jake was great to deal with both times. The services were done correctly, timely, and for equal to or less than the price quoted up front. So I'm revising my review from over a year ago to say I'm now completely satisfied with this service department. Original Review in 2017: I need to bring my Honda Accord for a safety recall. But I had a question first. No service advisors were available, so I left a message. No one called me back, so I called again after a couple of days. Again, no advisors were available so I left another message. And again, no one called me back. So I emailed the dealership with my service issue. In the next three days I received FIVE sales solicitations, but no one from service called me. Then I called again and asked for the service manager. Guess what - not available. So I left my third phone message. This time I actually got a call back - from Fred, who was very nice. I was driving at the time so I asked if I could call HIM back. He gave me his direct line and told me to leave him a message if he didn't answer. I called back a few hours later and he didn't answer. So I left a message (my fourth). That was four days ago and he never called me back. Totally ridiculous. I would not trust them to service a car at this point. More
