Ed Marchese is the definition of a professional. He truly understands the product he is selling and understands how to put together a deal. There were no games, at Freehold Honda. Typically, dealing truly understands the product he is selling and understands how to put together a deal. There were no games, at Freehold Honda. Typically, dealing with the finance department is compared to a trip to the denist. Not at Freehold Honda, the numbers Ed Marchese quoted were the numbers on the paper work. Dean in the finance group took the time to explain the paper work and made it a very pleasant experience. This is my third lease from Freehold Honda and never had a bad experience with the Service Department. They keep too scheduled appointments and aren’t afraid to offer a loaner car when needed. I highly recommend Freehold Honda and ask for Ed Marchese, you won’t regret it. More

I was told about Honda of Freehold by a friend who new my I was told about Honda of Freehold by a friend who new my lease was coming to end.I told him that i loved Honda and that i never had any problems I was told about Honda of Freehold by a friend who new my lease was coming to end.I told him that i loved Honda and that i never had any problems with a Honda vehicle .He then told me about Joe Gravino. I contacted Joe and from the first call he was friendly and easy to talk to . I never felt rushed into any deal .Joe gave me the opportunity to speak about my concerns and was eager to help my wife and i get into the vehicle that we wanted. At no point during our business with Joe or any one else at Honda of Freehold did we feel we were just around fast talkers that were only concerned with selling a car. When i went to meet Joe for the first time i was greeted by friendly service at the front desk. I had two appointments and in both cases i never had to wait to speak to Joe. As soon as i sat down i was offered coffee. I must have called Joe about 10 times going over different options for my wife and i and in every case Joe was helpful and we went over everything i needed to speak to him about. On a few occasions i left him a voice mail and he always got back to me. I had no problem with the price of the vehicle cause Honda is very well made and worth the money. Its about dependability and peace of mind when your on the road. As far as overall experience let me put it like this. I have been leasing from Honda since 2003 and this is the best experience i have had with a dealership. Keep in mind i am not a NJ resident so for me to stay in my area would be easier ,but i would not hesitate for a minute to go back to Joe in Freehold. It's worth the effort when you get service like i did. I currently have a 2006 civic that goes back in november and i already told joe we will back to get a new one with him. Thank you Honda and Joe Gravino Richie and kathryn Santa More
We were extremely impressed with this dealership. While browsing in the dealership each associate made eye contact, asked if we needed time or help, and offered any further assistance. We did not feel pre browsing in the dealership each associate made eye contact, asked if we needed time or help, and offered any further assistance. We did not feel pressured or rushed in any way. The General Sales Manager came out of his office and chatted with us and wanted to get to know us since it was our first time in the dealership. When the decision was made the paperwork was completed quickly and correctly. We were also so surprised when we returned to pick up the car because our aggreed upon payment was lowered due to a thorough search by the helpful staff member. We will highly recommend this dealership to our family and friends. More
I came from Out of state to purchase a used vehicle. They knew that If I was happy with the vehicle, I would take delivery of it immediately. The vehicle was prepped & ready when I arrived. I later discovere knew that If I was happy with the vehicle, I would take delivery of it immediately. The vehicle was prepped & ready when I arrived. I later discovered that the antennae was missing. I purchased one from a local dealer & they promptly reimbursed me. Sales staff was friendly & returned all of my calls in a timely fashion. More
We would not recommend this dealership. This dealership was to pushy and over priced. They were trying to sell us a 2008 CRV EX-L for the same price as a 2009. When we realized that we could not afford t was to pushy and over priced. They were trying to sell us a 2008 CRV EX-L for the same price as a 2009. When we realized that we could not afford their asking prices on either a CRV EX or CRV EX-L, they tried to push us into a lease. They were not friendly and it was not a comfortable atmosphere. I would suggest some training on some new sales pitches. I guess this is why the dealership was empty and we were able to purchase a new 2009 CRV EX within our budget at another dealership. Good luck Freehold Honda staying in business in such a competative market with such horrible sales service. They only thing you have going for yourself is the Honda name selling it's own product or otherwise you would be out of business. More
I have gone to this dealership for over a decade. This is my 4th leased vehicle from Honda. Between my children and friends( that I recommended), I realized this is the 13th vehicle either leased or purc my 4th leased vehicle from Honda. Between my children and friends( that I recommended), I realized this is the 13th vehicle either leased or purchased from Honda. I have been very fortunate to have dealt with two excellent sales people through the years. Presently, Evelyn helped my son purchase a brand new civic and, as I stated above, I just leased a Pilot! Love it! A company is only as good as its people. Having said that, without an understanding, professional and experienced sales person such as Evelyn, all companies are more or less the same. Evelyn knew everything I needed in the car and the price range I needed to stay in. She made it work!! Evelyn also did the same for my son with his civic. Thank you, Honda of Freehold and special thanks to Evelyn!!! More
I went on 12/22/2008 to buy a 40000+ Pilot we got to an agreeable number after 2 hours. I told them from the beginning I only had until 530 PM, they wanted me to take the car off the lot today so they did agreeable number after 2 hours. I told them from the beginning I only had until 530 PM, they wanted me to take the car off the lot today so they did not have to pay interest on the vehicle for an additional day which was fine by me. They did not predict the time it would take correctly and said if I can come back tomorrow which was 12/23/3008. I was cordial and said fine, but I asked them to have everything ready so I can be in and out since I had to go to work and manage my own business. I was told that as much paperwork that could be done would be ready and the process would be short tomorrow morning. Since I was paying for the car outright there was not that much paperwork to begin with I arrived at 9:00 AM on 12/23 and told the paper work was in process by 9:30 I told Paul that I am in a hurry and need have this done quickly. His mood which was poor to begin with that morning soured. At 9:45 I went to the managers area and asked Lonnie to hurry because I have to go. What I said exactly was Lonnie this is getting ridiculous I need to get out of here and did not expect to be here this long. He then said to me fine you can leave and not take the car. At that point Paul turns around and says I am getting your stuff back and you can get out. I was shocked and so was the other customers looking to buy a vehicle. One woman with her husband even said I cannot believe you speak to a customer that way he is the customer and did nothing wrong until the sales person started yelling at him. I then followed Paul and said lets get the paperwork done and hurry up "please" who then tells me YOU WILL WAIT LIKE EVERYONE ELSE NOW SIT DOWN! I told him who the hell you think you are DAMNIT. Lonnie then comes out and says if you do not leave I will call the police. Funny because I know every police officer in Monmouth and Ocean county since we supply their 5.11 Tactical Uniforms. It would have been fun to see that happen. At that point the other finance manager comes out and calms things down. Although not friendly he did finish the paperwork and I did get the car. I then took my own keys placed them on the key ring and walked out without Paul the so called salesman or Lonnie ever coming out to say anything. I have bought three Hondas at this place and a Benz from the same dealer right next door. I never had this poor of an experience and I will never go back there again. The car is great and the only reason I stayed is because I had an unbelievable price. I will never go back there again and anyone who I meet I will tell them this story if they are in the market for a new car. I am also going to post a video on youtube about them and hope I can affect there sales any way possible. I will be writing to the consumerist.com and also posting on every dealer review site possible. I felt insulted and demeaned, I am still in shock what took place and I cannot believe I was treated like garbage. The sales person and the manager are people who are mean and downright jerks. I hope you have a horrible year ahead in sales and I hope I convince anyone out there not to buy from these hooligans. More
I have purchased many Honda vehicles from this dealer. I only return to service for warranty repairs. The transmission was popping out of 2nd gear in my s2000. The service department reqired only 1 visit to only return to service for warranty repairs. The transmission was popping out of 2nd gear in my s2000. The service department reqired only 1 visit to correct the problem. I was worried that the repairs would not be done correctly or the parts would be delayed. This was not the case. Everything was done to my satisfaction in just 2 days. Steve called me to report the progress and let me know when to expect my car back. All of my dealings with Honda of Frehold have been good and I will continue to recommend thm as on of the best dealers around! More
