I had gone into this dealership knowing that I wanted a CRV. My salesman Joe was very nice, but when the manager came over he was very rude. He refused to give me a price on a vehicle because I am a young CRV. My salesman Joe was very nice, but when the manager came over he was very rude. He refused to give me a price on a vehicle because I am a young woman and my car was under my parents name. I left there and went to Old Bridge and wound up leaving with a brand new 2011 CRV. Thats a lot of business Freehold lost and I will never recommend anyone to go there. More
My wife and I researched our vehicle online and then requested a quote from Honda of Freehold. This is the second time that this dealership gave us the lowest price quote, and also offered the highest requested a quote from Honda of Freehold. This is the second time that this dealership gave us the lowest price quote, and also offered the highest trade-in. Since this was our second purchase here, we knew that everything would go well and we were not disappointed. Arriving for our appointment we were met by George Leondis, sales consultant, and Andrew Woolcock, New Sales Manager. The process went smoothly and it was refreshing to deal with people who are knowledgeable, professional and obviously care about their customers. There are three dealerships closer to our home, but we found the best sales experience is at Honda of Freehold. More
On October 23,2010 I visited "Honda of Freehold" dealership. We got the price quote and made an appointment via internet. Upon the arrival we met with the sales manager Steve Tancona and sales consultant Eres Salchak. They were very friendly and easy to talk to. The process of price negotiation went smooth and pleasant. Everybody was polite, professional and friendly. People staid after the hours to clean the car and finish the paper work. After everything was done Eres gave us all the documentation and the keys for the car. It was real late, but he thoroughly explained and showed us all the functions of our new car in order to make sure we get home safe. We are very grateful to the staff of the dealership for helping us to buy our new car and made this experience pleasant and stress free. More
When I first go to Honda it was our fourth stop and I'd been very upset and frustrated with the other cars I looked at. In addition, it was late in the day so I was pretty hungry and starting to get cranky been very upset and frustrated with the other cars I looked at. In addition, it was late in the day so I was pretty hungry and starting to get cranky. I was also with my parents who felt the exact same way. Evelyn greeted us with a smile and was very patient as I went back and forth deciding which car to test drive, knowing I wouldn't be ready to sign anything due to my current lease not expiring for another 6 weeks. When we test drove the car I was very surprised by how comfortable I felt in my car. Even after seeing how pleased I was with the car, Evelyn put on no pressure at all. As expected, we had to meet with the manager, Andrew, before leaving and he was the exact same way as Evelyn. He came over and chatted for a few minutes and suggested we meet later in the week to evaluate my current lease and see if we could work anything out. Evelyn even came in on her vacation day. It was a great pleasure to have a manager that didn't pressure me to stay in the building. He was confident enough in his employees and his product that he didn't need to pressure me and i GREATLY appreciated that. More

My Experience at Honda of Freehold, Late may 2010 the My Experience at Honda of Freehold, Late may 2010 the wife and I were shopping for a car for her. HONDA OF FREEHOLD had a 2007 VW Passat listed wit My Experience at Honda of Freehold, Late may 2010 the wife and I were shopping for a car for her. HONDA OF FREEHOLD had a 2007 VW Passat listed with 52000 miles. The price was decent at roughly 11500. We took the car for a test ride, and all seemed well. They showed us a clean carfax . Knowing the GM, I asked him about the car. He assured me that “HONDA OF FREEHOLD does no put junk on their lots”. “All are car have been inspected by certified techs” He says. Well with David Michael VW being a sister ship dealer, I took them at face value. Two months off the lot, the wife says the car stalled and now we don’t have air conditioning. I decide to check it out, I put the car on a scanner and notice no codes were thrown. I go through the wiring harness and fuse box, all check out. We have voltage up to the compressor. I search the internet, within seconds I come across multiple service bulletins regarding 2005-08 VW’s with immanent air conditioning failure due to lack of oil in the system. I call HONDA OF FREEHOLD, and explain what I found. They tend to blow me off and say that the only diagnosis they can take is from their tech. Ok fine, I set up an appointment, drop the car by. I also explain to them, I have found oil in the intercooler, which would indicate a failing seal on the turbo. Later on I receive a call from the service write who explains to me the bill will be over 2200 dollars because the whole AC system needs to be replaced and that oil in the intercooler is normal(any diesel mechanic or mechanic that has worked with forced induction know that pumping oil into the engine through the throttle will indefinitely shorten the life due to carbon buildup and preignition/detonation , and if in excess hydro locking). I call of HONDA OF FREEHOLD, explain that to them, because the GM was away at training, it took a week to get an answer back. I explained to them, if this car was checked out by a certified tech why were the issues not found and resolved. The answer I got was we can not for see the future, and if the tech didn’t notice it then it must have been ok. Well there is a multitude of documentation regarding both these problems. This means one of two things. 1: Either their techs are uneducated or They knew of the problems and hoped they didn’t happen soon enough. After fighting with them, and to be fair my stance was not to have the dealer cover the whole bill, I though it fair that the dealer work with me, potentially cover half as a domestic manufacture would have since the vehicle was just over warranty. After pestering and pestering the dealer agrees to cover a little bit, so I agree. As the wife picks up the car, they explain to her that she should get a discount. She pays and takes the car home. I look over the bill, and go through the roof when I discover that there was no discount and it was actually more than the estimate. I have also learned the Volkswagen auto group does not have factory services reps as domestic automobile manufactures do and that VAG of America is out of touch with their products and there technician are apparently uneducated. So the consensus of my experience is, do not by a Volkswagen without a full warranty. Do not trust any word spoken to you at HONDA OF FREEHOLD. More
