Funny bussiness Karina confirm over the phone that the car we had interest for, was available. Once there after checking the car and ask for a road test we were told Karina confirm over the phone that the car we had interest for, was available. Once there after checking the car and ask for a road test we were told that somebody had just bought it over the phone. Very rude, very unprofessional and extremely dismissive . Honda lost two potential costumers. Stop two dealers down and got a good deal on a similar vehicle. More
Terrible Experience - Awful dealership! I would give a negative score if that was possible. Terrible business that makes up requirements for a deal as they go along so they and I quote "don I would give a negative score if that was possible. Terrible business that makes up requirements for a deal as they go along so they and I quote "don't lose any money on the deal." My husband and I were quoted an Internet price. We called to confirm and also find out any other charges before we made the hour drive there. I had all of the numbers worked out plus pre-approval through my bank at a great rate. A lot of back and forth and ridiculous waiting around they told me we could only do the deal if we financed through them at a rate over double I was getting from my bank. I know they just made this up on the fly since at first when I told the salesman my rate from the bank he said, "oh yeah, I would go with that rate. Ours are in the 4% range even with excellent credit." They made us wait 3 hours with 2 little ones in tow to put together the numbers, going back and forth, and then when it wasn't in their best interest, made up the requirement I had to finance through them after we had already been there for over 2 hours. Terrible business practices, condescending, rude, and patronizing staff and I don't even know if what they did to us was legal. If it is, it shouldn't be but I will find out. Stay far far away from this dealership! More
They pulled the bait and switch on me! Not happy! I emailed with a woman online, I think her name was Christina?, anyway she quoted me a price for a lease that was pretty good. I'd emailed a few deal I emailed with a woman online, I think her name was Christina?, anyway she quoted me a price for a lease that was pretty good. I'd emailed a few dealerships, but she said they were also doing a pre-4th of july special $1,000 cash back on a new lease, limited time only so I arranged for childcare and drove 30 minutes to make the deal. When I got there and asked for her they handed me off to a sales man, not explaining why I wasn't meeting with the person I thought I was going to, that I had the appt with. His name was Matt Tsakon, he said he's only been there a couple months. He told me they could give me the offer i was emailed if I had it in writing but it couldn't be combined with the rebate. He wanted to charge me $4,000 in additional leasing fees, ridiculous fees such as "bank fees" and "Total loss protection fees" that I hadn't seen at other places...I was prepared to pay closer to $600 in fees so this was way more. The part I didn't like is he said the internet person "will say whatever they can to get you in the door" but the eprice and rebate could not be combined. I had to write down notes with bullet points of what I wanted because he kept talking circles making it seem like he was giving me the deal I wanted but he was wording it tricky, like they could give me that price including my trade-in, what?! He said other dealerships would have all these fees too and they would also say whatever they could to get you in and then it would be more once I got there. I told him that was crazy, and bad practice and something I'm not going to agree to. He also probably left me like 5 times to run things by his manager to see if they could do what I was asking then would come back with some other bogus wording that made it sound like they were agreeing but they were sneaking in my trade-in, or a down payment. It was just so frustrating. Finally they said they couldn't do what I wanted, he made it sound like I was crazy for asking for so much off the MSRP but he was calculating the wrong MSRP, from a higher end model, not the one I wanted, I know what my car's MSRP was, and I knew from edmunds.com what the average person was paying for the car I wanted, I did my research. He was just frustrating me. So I left. He called the next day and said "sorry, I told you the wrong information yesterday, we can combine those two offers and I've gotten permission from the owner to do that deal you wanted, so come back in". I said no, I'm going to DCH Kay Honda today. I went to DCH Kay and the experience was light-years better, the internet people greeted me, offered me a refreshment, showed me to the sales guy, made sure he had the offer we had discussed, and they never tried to hide fees. I paid exactly what I expected and wanted, no tricks. Of course I was paraoid the whole time until I was literally driving away in my new car because this Matt guy from Freehold told me all dealerships work that way, which just wasn't true. I wouldn't trust these people and I won't give them my business. I'm pissed I wasted my time. More

In fact, he literally delivered my car to my house because I couldn't take delivery immediately. About 3 weeks later, he called to see whether all was going well and if I was happy with the car. I have just visited for my first oil change and he again came over to shake my hand and even tighten a loose screw on my plate. If you want a Honda or any used car, I highly recommend that you visit Mike. More

Bunch of liars I went to buy a crv exp touring. Whole time I asked if they had silver with gray interior and the sales person said yes and after paperwork when the c I went to buy a crv exp touring. Whole time I asked if they had silver with gray interior and the sales person said yes and after paperwork when the car came it was a different interiors. I said no to that. As this is near my place ...I went for memorial day sale....they promised me to deliver the car I wanted and do price match with Edmunds quote I had. Once I went to take the car initially they refused to honor memorial day deal which was promised and then came up with ridicules interest rate and conditions to finance in full. It's a bunch of liars who will ask you to do paperwork while you are busy in something so you can't see the charges etc. If I can give negative rating...I want to do so. Beware of liars and go and shop other places...the only thing can help you to grow the business is integrity and trust which is missing from these guys. More
Changed Pre-Arranged Deal at Last Minute! So I do all of my car shopping via phone. I will not enter a dealership until I've negotiated a deal that I will accept. I recommend you do the same So I do all of my car shopping via phone. I will not enter a dealership until I've negotiated a deal that I will accept. I recommend you do the same. Why swim in the pool of sharks when you can throw chum in safely from land? So, I negotiated a deal for a 2016 Honda Accord LX lease with their salesman, Ron, who I had previously leased a 2013 Honda Civic with. The terms were stated by me, repeated by Ron, and then repeated again by me at the end of the phone call to verify. Other dealerships that were closer to my home offered me a similar offer, but due to my pleasant experience with Ron previously, I decided I would make the drive to Honda of Freehold. Once at the dealership, the terms of the deal were changed. The taxes and fees (which were previously discussed as being approximately $2000 were raised to $3300). The sales manager, Joseph, came over and said how there must have been a miscommunication. There was no miscommunication. This was an underhanded attempt to change the deal. He agreed to cut that number down to $2600, but would not honor the agreement we had previously discussed. I walked out and leased the same car at Honda of Toms River with no hassles and surprises. I get that negotiating techniques are a valuable tool for a car dealer, but to agree to terms and then change them is not a negotiating technique. It is a lie. More

Poor and Terrible Sales interaction We left Honda of Freehold very upset and disappointed due to our interaction with salesperson, Daniel Timmerman. We were interested in finding out mor We left Honda of Freehold very upset and disappointed due to our interaction with salesperson, Daniel Timmerman. We were interested in finding out more information on the Honda Pilot and when he asked if we were purchasing today, and we said we were not sure and want more information. He insisted we leave and come back during the week when he has more time. He made us feel like we were cutting into his sales time and did not want to help us at our visit or answer any questions we had regarding a potential purchase. For that reason, we will not return to Honda of Freehold for poor sales interaction and they will never receive our business. We are likely to share this information with friends and colleagues in the area. More
