SLEAZY BAIT AND SWITCH.... STAY AWAY!!!! We were in the market for the new Honda Civic Hatchback EX-L. After confirming stock by phone, we decided to visit the dealership since they had the c We were in the market for the new Honda Civic Hatchback EX-L. After confirming stock by phone, we decided to visit the dealership since they had the car of our choice in the color of our choice. Bobby showed us the car. He was not very knowledgeable in the features of the car to say the least, he could not answer basic questions about the vehicle. After a short viewing of the car, we went inside to discuss the price. Honda of Freehold had this car listed on their website for $24,333.00, a great price which we did not think anything of since a few other dealers had this priced similarly. Bobby first quoted us MSRP, after we mentioned the internet price and he confirmed it by checking their site, he claimed the low price online was a mistake. They also advertised ON THIS VEHICLE, on their website a low APR of .9 percent for qualified buyers, well that went out the window too as Bobby stated it does not apply to the hatchback, even though they advertised it does. After about an hour, we could not get a price in writing from Bobby and we told him we were going to have to move on to the next dealer. Finally...Bobby brought us a price in writing with the internet price we saw BUT, he added several thousand dollars in FEES, (plus tax) brought our total to OVER 29k. Obviously we walked away from that I didn't even bring the quote with me, who wouldn't match that lol. What did I learn... Honda of Freehold is just as sleazy as most of the other car dealers in Freehold. They bait and switch, so don't go by the prices on their website or any of the specials they advertise which they just use to LURE you into the dealership. You will NOT get a good deal here because they solely rely on incentives, even then you have to watch out for their "FEES". The sale reps have NO clue how to close a deal or keep a customer. They WILL waste your time. Their positive reviews are probably FAKE. Look for the negatives I'm sure they will sound more like this one. Ultimately, after Bobby realized he was not going to pull the wool over our eyes and take us for a ride, he proceeded to tell us we are shopping for the wrong vehicle and were out of our price range. Well guess what BOBBY, after we left your SLEAZY ORGANIZATION, we headed over to M****** Honda, where we met a REAL sales rep who DID close the deal for thousands LESS than your ridiculous quote. We DROVE our Amazing new Honda Civic Hatchback EX-L in Sonic Grey Pearl home the same day, no thanks to you! The end. More
