The salesman Steve was exceedingly rude and dismissive at first. When we sat down to negotiate he continued being nasty. His tone softened when i told him I would be financing the car, not buying in cash. Th first. When we sat down to negotiate he continued being nasty. His tone softened when i told him I would be financing the car, not buying in cash. That’s when he began trying to squeeze every last dollar out of me. I was ok with overpaying for a good, reliable car. But the car turned out NOT to be a good reliable car. The car vibrates violently while running, the right side view mirror was broken, and the car was dirty and smelled awful on purchase. during the peak of the COVID crisis they didn’t even clean the car. I could not believe it. If I wasn’t pressured to buy the car by my father at the time i would not have purchased it. I overpaid by about $4,000 for the vehicle, even after accounting for taxes and fees. And when the sorry state of the car is taken into account, i really overpaid. My family has purchased 8 Hondas in the past 20 years and this is very likely the last. We’ll probably look for Toyotas now to avoid the negative associations Steve has given us with the Honda brand. More
Pleasant environment. Would be better buying experience if you got away from the manager pressure sales pitch. Let your knowledgeable sales force negotiate. Sales rep Christina Barrett was terrific and could/should have done the sale completely herself. The only thing management should do is say congratulations on your new car. More
