Horrific "New" Tire Purchase/Install I'll attempt to keep this as brief and concise as possible. I received a price match for a new tire for my vehicle (which was actually purchased fr I'll attempt to keep this as brief and concise as possible. I received a price match for a new tire for my vehicle (which was actually purchased from Honda of Fort Myers). The rear left side tire of my vehicle was punctured by some sort of wooden nail in the side wall and unable to be repaired. I examined the installation of the "new" tire after Honda of Fort Myers installed it. The "new" tire looked aged by the sun on the side wall of the tire and not properly maintained in new condition. In addition, there was "goop" covering the tire rim that I thought was scratches at first. The "goop" was some kind of lubricant from the installation of the "new" tire, and had been slopped over and left on the tire rim. I went back to my Service Advisor after inspecting the initial final product to voice my concerns about the "new" tire and sloppy installation. The Service Advisor insisted that the tire was "new" and that Honda of Fort Myers does not sell used tires. I responded by saying that the "new" tire looked older than my original tires that were approximately one year and two months old. The Service Advisor continued to insist that the "new" tire was indeed, new, and that nothing was wrong with it. The Service Advisor then noticed that the "new" tire had been put on my vehicle backwards. He said he would get the vehicle technicians to put the wheel on correctly after more of my coaxing to swap out that "new" tire for a REAL new tire. The "new" tire wall of the "correct" side of the tire still looked like it had been aged by the sun and not properly maintained in new condition after this second installation. IN ADDITION, there was a dried splotch mark of blue paint on the tire (and dried runny blue streaks from it) and some kind of reddish spot about the size of a dime on the tire wall. There was a small amount of random blue streaks of paint on the rim as well. I calmly and politely asked the Service Advisor again for a truly, NEW tire. He insisted the tire was new. Eventually after more of this back and forth I requested to see a manager. He started to raise his voice and claimed that he was an Assistant Manager (after examining his business card he handed me earlier, his title read "Service Advisor"). He finally summoned a gentleman from Parts, presumably the Parts Supervisor (PS), to see if the PS could grant me my request for a NEW tire like I paid for. The PS, Service Advisor, and I all went out again from the office to examine the tire (currently the second installation). They kept insisting that it was a new tire for about another 10-15 minutes, maybe, then the PS finally offered to take me back to the new tire storage area. (Earlier on I requested to pick a different tire because I was unhappy with the current one. Upon inspection, they had four other new tires that matched my vehicle.) I handpicked an actual new tire that was properly maintained in new condition. They installed it properly and cleaned off all of the "goop," gunk, and random blue paint streaks from the tire rim for the third and final installation. On a personal level, I took vacation time off for the holidays and spent about two-to-three hours dealing with this kind of service. I scheduled an appointment earlier to pickup a gift for my brother and missed it due to the aforementioned events and being unable to drive away after the first installation job. I'll let the facts speak for themselves (save for my closing comment) and hope that other consumers don't have to deal with this kind of experience. In my opinion (though it could be a stretch), it felt like they were to trying to give me a sub-par "new" tire, and further tried to conceal it by hiding the blemishes (blue runny paint splotch, reddish spot) with improper installation. I was disgusted with my customer service/tire installation experience. More

Need to keep tires in Stock. Had to order. They were overpriced Michilen low profile. Also you never reset the TP button. Acted up on trip. A tech at Midas did a job u should have done. Replacement I had to get the radio in my car replaced. Ed was amazing from the beginning. He helped order the radio for me then when I walked in without an appoin I had to get the radio in my car replaced. Ed was amazing from the beginning. He helped order the radio for me then when I walked in without an appointment to get the new radio put in, there was no objections. They took my car in and had me in and out. The entire experience was outstanding! More
